jpatdeleon09 Posted February 4, 2021 at 09:26 PM Posted February 4, 2021 at 09:26 PM I think there’s an acapella edit on YouTube both the album and soundtrack version. Compare the two. Then, you’ll know what I’m talking about
jpatdeleon09 Posted February 4, 2021 at 09:44 PM Posted February 4, 2021 at 09:44 PM Vocals only Horner’s version (Soundtrack) Walter’s version (Album)
jpatdeleon09 Posted February 4, 2021 at 09:47 PM Posted February 4, 2021 at 09:47 PM (edited) See! Same vocals Rerecorded? LOOOOL Don’t buy these producers stories. They are added for the sake of entertainment lol So who is lying? Hahahahaha Edited February 4, 2021 at 09:59 PM by jpatdeleon09
tal-sh2 Posted February 4, 2021 at 10:01 PM Posted February 4, 2021 at 10:01 PM (edited) Both MHWGO versions are same vocals, except the ending.. jpatdeleon09 Posted February 4, 2021 at 10:07 PM Posted February 4, 2021 at 10:07 PM (edited) Both MHWGO versions are same vocals, except the ending.. That’s what I’m telling over and over again. She didn’t rerecord the song for the album version. The producers can easily edit the vocals without rerecording the vocals. They can speed up the tempo, tune the keys and notes for the vocals, etc. Walter did an amazing job with the ending by putting echoes to hide the imperfections of the edited part. Even the humming. He combined the two hums (not only the last hum) from the soundtrack version. You’ll noticed the vibrato of the hums messed up a bit bit bit Edited February 4, 2021 at 10:26 PM by jpatdeleon09 2

jpatdeleon09 Posted February 4, 2021 at 10:24 PM Posted February 4, 2021 at 10:24 PM (edited) Then, after how many years. Someone will bring up this again about the producers story about My Heart Will Go On that it was rerecord, etc. hahaha Edited February 4, 2021 at 10:29 PM by jpatdeleon09
jpatdeleon09 Posted February 4, 2021 at 10:38 PM Posted February 4, 2021 at 10:38 PM (edited) The humming part at the end Walter started at 3:45 (soundtrack version) then combined the last hum to make it into one long hum for the album version. So again. Where’s the rerecorded vocals that he was talking about? Edited February 4, 2021 at 10:40 PM by jpatdeleon09

Chantemoi Posted February 5, 2021 at 06:41 AM Posted February 5, 2021 at 06:41 AM (edited) That's what I'm telling over and over again. She didn't rerecord the song for the album version. You'll noticed the vibrato of the hums messed up a bit bit bit I think I was about 14 years old when I realized the vocals from the Titanic soundtrack had been recycled and edited for the LTAL/radio version. Nothing about that final vibrato sounds natural, and you can still clearly hear the overlapping "hmmm" at the end (a similar effect was used for TYLAM). At most, Céline "re-recorded" some backing vocals/harmonies, or they tried to rerecord the lead vocals and ending up using the originals. If I'm not mistaken, when this topic came up in 2020, someone on the forum posted a video of the separate vocal tracks layered over each other and they were note-for-note the same song until the ending (I searched YouTube, but apparently that video is not public). There's just no way, no matter how good someone's technique is, or how closely together the recording sessions were, that you could reproduce the same exact sounds - because you can never reproduce the same environment or state of mind she was in during the first recording... the emotions in her would not be exactly the same. I think the harmonies are not done by Céline as well for the album version. It was done by a female and a male back up singer

PuraVida Posted February 5, 2021 at 07:02 AM Posted February 5, 2021 at 07:02 AM (edited) Searching for Celine stuff on Youtube is quite tough these days if you're searching for the newest videos or hidden gems. There's so many singers that cover her songs and get reactions, or get have her as tags that a ton of their results come up....it's like, they're more uploaded than Celine herself! Dimash, Vanny Vabiola, Marcelito Pomoy, Morisette Amon, Alip Ba Ta, So Hyang...they clog up the Celine search process! Edited February 5, 2021 at 07:04 AM by PuraVida

giannislyber Posted February 6, 2021 at 05:34 AM Posted February 6, 2021 at 05:34 AM A new Celine interview is gonna air tonight on Greek TV, described as “Greek Exclusive”. Judging from her look at the promo video, it was probably shot last year during the “Courage” promotion. You can hear backing vocals/harmonies on the Walter version for the lyrics "one true time I hold to" .... but it doesn't sound like Celine to me. Maybe the software just couldn't take it out? I personally think the outro is one of the best parts of the song, so I much like the longer ending. 1
Chantemoi Posted February 8, 2021 at 07:08 AM Posted February 8, 2021 at 07:08 AM Honestly, I can't stand the radio/album version. James Horner knew what he was doing, and the orchestra and Céline's voice on the Titanic version blend so perfectly together. The pop version of the song has clearer vocals, but the background singers, the electric guitar, the shortened ending.. it's a travesty! The soundtrack version will always be my favourite.

I actually think the album version is better than the soundtrack version for all the reasons you mentioned. Although I like the soundtrack version of the song, it's just so quiet. It's similar situation with Then You Look At Me. The album version is great, but the soundtrack version is just lacking something in my opinion. 1

scielle Posted February 9, 2021 at 01:08 PM Posted February 9, 2021 at 01:08 PM (edited) So a new French album is in the works? Is it a rumour? Kev x Veneruso mentioned a possibility in an interview a week or two ago. As we know though, there’s a big gap between that and it actually becoming reality any time soon. Here’s the interview with him: https://www.musiques-en-live.com/interview-manuscrite-79-jacques-veneruso-diego-on-the-rocks/ “DIEGO : Quels sont vos projets dans cette période particulière ? JACQUES VENERUSO : Pour l’instant il est difficile d’avoir des projets concrets. Néanmoins je continue des collaborations entamées avant la pandémie avec le Québec et des artistes peu connus en France. Il y a également l’éventualité d’un nouvel album de Céline Dion. L’impact de la COVID oblige les compositeurs à écrire et composer à la maison sans produire de disque. On espère sincèrement que ce début d’année sera meilleur.” He also says that Céline keeps asking JJG for songs for each new album. I wish she had a JJG in English... Xpresso Posted February 9, 2021 at 02:23 PM Posted February 9, 2021 at 02:23 PM The way Veneruso says "an eventual new Celine Dion album" doesn't sound like something that will happen soon. We all know there will be a French album eventually but the question is when... Patience, kids! 1

duri Posted February 9, 2021 at 04:15 PM Posted February 9, 2021 at 04:15 PM Of course this is not real news but as we know Celine and her team that no one is allowed to say anything even this could be sigh that something is cooked. http://www.supermusic.sk/obrazky/80543_Celine%209.jpg
