PuraVida Posted January 10, 2021 at 10:21 PM Posted January 10, 2021 at 10:21 PM Gaga uploaded her Sinatra 100 performance and it has 10 million views. Why didn't Celine's team do the same? 1

ordinary fan Posted January 12, 2021 at 09:28 AM Posted January 12, 2021 at 09:28 AM (edited) Such a lovely song, it would have been fit before the acoustic medley in her vegas show, just guitarres and strings and voice https://youtu.be/6bnRM3pX0EQ Edited January 12, 2021 at 09:29 AM by ordinary fan 2

There is "I Wish" in vegas and "Misled" on Jay Leno....anymore? there are many... - CWT ballet piece w/Pépé - FIY and Le Ballet w/Pépé- Simply the Best- Met An Angel- Bee Gees medley- THLAL at the Essence Awards- ADISQ ‘98 medley with René Simard- several performances of Misled- probably some performances from Unison (?)- Jours de Fièvre not to mention many more where she has dancers behind her like Or the entire A New Day show
ryba Posted January 13, 2021 at 10:11 AM Posted January 13, 2021 at 10:11 AM (edited) Her hair here was really awesome and elegant. It's a shame she opted for that stupid bun look most of the time during the Courage promo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOR6zN19n1A I think she should stick to the serious intelligent image, not the freaky, drunk ount image she started with Carpool Karaoke Edited January 13, 2021 at 10:12 AM by ryba

I feel like besides FIY with Pepe, it hasn't been "dancing dancing" since I Wish...haven't seen all of the performances from the 90s you mentioned. I'm trying to think of a moment where she danced in sync with the people behind her, to the same choreography. I think it was done in I Wish, but I'm talking Janet Jackson style...of course not to that level!!!
ryba Posted January 15, 2021 at 05:16 PM Posted January 15, 2021 at 05:16 PM (edited) Man, I just found this and it think that this song was just meant for Celine. Just imagine her majestic belting with some crazy reverb. This song is a masterpiece and I get chills just listening to it. I would love it if Celine did a full Sia album. This would be some real quality music. She wrote her songs and yet she opted for other single choices. I don’t understand their logic. I think Celine should have fighted for this song to be on her album. Instead it was given to an unknown singer called Marina and her production just made the song terrible. https://youtu.be/uctnXRP61AE gosh, Im addicted to that song. I want Celine to cover it, no matter what. Edited January 15, 2021 at 05:25 PM by ryba 2

Xpresso Posted January 15, 2021 at 07:30 PM Posted January 15, 2021 at 07:30 PM Personally I'm glad Celine didn't record that song - which is so so to me.And as we know, she would have tried to sound like Sia, and we don't really need more of that. 1

PuraVida Posted January 16, 2021 at 08:09 AM Posted January 16, 2021 at 08:09 AM When did Celine get her first in-ear monitor for singing? When do we see her first perform with one live? I learned, to my shock, that they weren't super available until the mid 1990s. 1995 is when they first started to get perfected, before that they were very expensive. I remember famously in 2004 at the Grammys she took hers out because of audio problems. 1

I thought she would have used them in the 1980s too, like for Eurovision for example, but apparently they were not at all common. I was lowkey shocked. 1

I believe this is probably true, but she wasn't doing very many huge venues for the first years of her English career.

There are a couple of clips out there where she's having trouble with her "ears" and she's trying to describe the "things" at the the front of the stage. If I can find the clip I'll post it.
