I think she loves dressing up too much. She does it for herself because she enjoys it, not only to be admired by people.

I had the same dream a long time ago! Except mine wasn’t a small backyard gig, it was a huge outdoor concert like BST.

 

I was even doing the soundcheck with Élise, Barnev and Dawn!

Lol, you had already graduated to the big events! I was with another random person, another male I think, and we both had mic stands as big as Celine's. We sang in a triangle formation.

No lol. It was in a backyard (my own backyard) and then Celine faced the guests and crowd, and we sang behind her. To be honest it's more fun to be able to sing well in my dream than to actually be near Celine, although that is a great part of the dream

It's nice to see Celine enjoying nature and just relaxing.

We all want more surprises and goodies from her --- and her team could easily be providing that to us.

But at least Celine is resting and rejuvenating. Well deserved and long overdue.

Those titanium vocal cords of hers deserve a timeout.

Didn’t she write about this in her biography? I thought she had, like, 24 hours notice and she got the cassette/CD and listened to it constantly in the car and while getting ready

IIRC, she said knew of the song beforehand (it was a top 10 hit for Bryan and Streisand), but didn't really KNOW it to sing it without help on such short notice.

It's funny, I had heard of Cher doing something dance/70s or other....but today I finally listened to some of the ABBA album she did. And wow! What a treat!

Why has Celine never done Graham Norton's show?

 

I could be mistaken but I think she once did a radio show with him? She had the perfect opportunity for Courage promotion last year but, of course, they missed it.

She has had a bad promotional strategy, but she's also been very unlucky at times in her career...what with vocal illness coming at exactly the wrong time, people bailing out on her, etc. She got sick when she was supposed to do more promo last year...sigh. The last time she promoted an album properly was TC. Yet Courage still did better, if we count on the charts.

 

Anyway, beyond all that, happy christmas and holidays everyone!

I'd like to see her on The Graham Norton Show someday, too. I think it would be amazing!

 

She did do a radio interview with him once, though - I think back when Taking Chances was released.
