Sorry, they can't hear you... they're too busy packing $50 T-shirts to ship off Monday morning in celebration of FIY25

 

Those T-shirts are the best merch decision they've done in a long time. Don't worry, they will hear us eventually :innocent:

 

I think it's no accident that our complaining about their Youtube channel has led to them posting more on various platforms. They're watching B)

Was Celine ever hounded by paparazzi in her career, particularly in Europe during the 90s? I was watching something on Princess Diana and wondered if during Celine's time in that continent--esp. in UK or France--if she ever had been harassed or bothered by paparazzi?

 

Does anyone remember Celine in tabloids/newspapers during those times? I imagine during MHWGO it would've been crazy.

Celine has always had a big advantage over many celebrities. She is humble and grateful but LOVES public recognition and fame. In fact, there are interviews with her from the 1990s where she mentions that she always tries to pay attention and be sympathetic to those who approach her.

As for scandal, I only remember one newspaper that wrote that she reserved the Caesar’s pool for sunbathing and the case of Rene's false harassment in an elevator. That is... nothing!

Was not comparing the two--obviously! But was just explaining what made me wonder. Because word is that the hounding culture of European (particularly French) press in the 90s particularly was at its zenith. I guess MHWGO came soon after the Diana scandal, but Celine was one of the biggest stars in the world and certainly probably the biggest star with a European cache given that she'd been famous in France for years.

 

So I wondered if they ever took pictures of Celine against her will or knowledge in those years in Europe.

Here it seems to me that there was a lack of organization. The space was too small for so many photographers and journalists. Everyone wanted a photo of Celine in her ultra fashion phase with the alleged Toyboy. But no one was rude or wanted to make her cry or be irritated like with many other celebrities (Britney, Lindsey, Paris, etc.).

Of course, there were rare exceptions, but above all Celine has attracted respect. ;)

Some places (like L.A., NYC, London, Paris...) have a very high concentration of celebrities, which make them attractive hotspots for paparazzi.

 

Céline & René have always avoided living in those places. So they were allowed to live their lives without too much press intrusion.

 

And because Céline has a safe haven at home, she can go to Paris or London and actually enjoy the exaggerated attention. She is blessed in that she's an extrovert to the extreme and actually enjoys being the center of attention, so it's less of a burden for her to be 'on' every time she leaves her hotel. But even for someone like her, it'll become exhausting. E.g.You could tell she was over it by the end of her Paris stay in 2017.

But at least she knew she'd be going home in a few days and be left alone for the rest of the year. Now if she lived in Paris permanently, I'm sure we'd see her running away from photographers or take back exits to avoid attention.

 

Now I do believe Diana attracted press wherever she went, but I don't think things would have ended the same if she would have gone for dinner in Lille or Rouen that fateful day (not her fault, to be clear).

 

Also, unlike Diana, Céline's life hasn't been particularly interesting (by which I mean, no divorce drama, speculation of paternity, string of lovers...),so I'm sure that makes a difference as well.

Great overall summary. I wonder if this is partly why she chooses not to live in those big places--I know she had other considerations as well.

 

That's true, her photos will not have earned as much money.....I guess maybe besides MHWGO days 1997-2000 and then 2017 with Celinaissance and Pepe rumours, those were the two times her photos were worth the most money.

 

That said, these paparazzi can be ruthless and hound you down if they want a picture of you. As the video shows. But if Celine gives them what they want, then I guess it works. I wonder if motorcycles ever followed her car at any point.

 

But you say Celine enjoys the attention.....she is barely seen in public. She seems to rarely dine out or go to shows. That's why her crashing that NYC nightclub to perform Flying On My Own was so unexpected

What's the difference between CDA Productions and Productions Feeling?

I saw online that there were offices at Caesars in Vegas, in Toronto, and Laval,...

 

Does anyone know which are still operational?

I think it's safe to assume the one at Caesar's moved when "Céline" ended. But I wonder where, and whether the other locations ever consolidated?

I think it's safe to assume the one at Caesar's moved when "Céline" ended. But I wonder where, and whether the other locations ever consolidated?

 

I think CDA is immediate management of Celine in the physical realm in the US i.e. her tours, negotiating, handling press and bookings, etc. But Feelings is more her digital/archival presence controlling her image. I presume the Live Telecast had it all complete, as this is from the Vh1 recording.

 

I seem to remember another version of this being uploaded. Hopefully we get this in HD one day....hear that Celine's team?

 

But now you can enoy it :) So, do you still like Paris' better?

 

Actually this version isn't the full song yet, compare with the Paris (there's even a key change)...

 

 

To me the Paris one is the best vocally, and the Memphis is the funniest to watch... I feel she's more free in Memphis.

I started a topic, Team Céline and what could they have done right a day ago and I was wondering if it will get approved or not?

And do you think that the moderator is not approving because it might be a criticising thread to TC.

To the moderator if they are listening, Its not for that purpose at all! It is just to make fans unite at one place and let them make their opinion on Team Céline Work and her new/old managers..xx

Joining TC can be good to get concert tickets though.

I've scored very decent tickets through TC without the hassle of going through the general sale.

Last time I used TC for tickets, I was way back in the 17th/18th row. TC doesn’t help get you the first fifteen rows, sadly. I remember back in the day when I had 3rd row seats - for $150 each! - to the third week of A New Day... through TC. Those were the days!

Guys, I need your help with this one particular thing:

 

There once was a docu about the LTAL tour, and there was one moment where Celine was doing her gurgling and she named the ingredients of her liquid mixture. Can this clip be found somewhere? I am looking for it but can't find it
