The partner of the police officer who died in Paris last week gave a powerful eulogy where he spoke amongst other things about the love his partner had for Celine Dion, his favourite singer, whom he would follow on tour, just as many of us do.

RIP Xavier.

Me too. I think she might do that in Paris since he was probably going to attend one of those shows. :down:

 

He was one of us, maybe even a member of this forum, no way of knowing.

Thanks Ryba for showing this again, I haven't watched it in a while. It sounds so odd when she does "Here We Are" and Gloria does BYLM because, to me, I am so used to hearing their voices to their song. :)

 

My favorite part of this is Rene mischievously playing the conga drums backstage :) I love those moments when he's not so serious.

 

And I was there that night at Radio City at the taping! Actually won the tickets from a radio station. . .

Thank you :) I already have the physical copies but I'd like to buy a downloadable copy. I can of course get the illegally online but I want a HD copy of the DVD's.

 

Also my DVD's are either PAL or NTSC but now I only have NTSC since my laptop was bought in America and I've got a problem playing PAL DVD's even though I've downloaded various DVD players..

There's quite a few programs to rip dvds onto your computer in any format you want. Have you tried looking into that?

 

And I think you're supposed to be able to switch the region of your laptop dvd player (though I think you can only change it once or twice).

I've tried the ripping but it's not going to well for me :( The dvd's aren't in HD after I've ripped them. I suck at this lol

 

And yeah I can change regions but well I am not ready for it to get stuck in a certain region (can't decide if I want it to be PAL or NTSC). I think it's 3 times I can change it? at least it was that way on my last laptop.

 

I know I'm only causing a problem for myself because I do have a multi region DVD player by the tv but I watch more stuff on my laptop.

I might search for a good DVD deal because it turns out my Une Seule Fois DVD case was EMPTY!!! :cry: Where on earth/house is that dvd!!

 

Edit: I'm going to wait to see what they have in Paris for the shows, maybe they have all the DVD's there. That way I don't have to pay for shipping and custom+taxes or visit fnac store

What's the latest DVD we've had? Une Seule Fois? 2013? Watching it right now, it's been way too long. There has to be a new release from the next tour. Though, I do wish we'd get a DVD from last year... I loved the set list :wub:

I was reading something on cnn.com, while La Mere et Enfant from USF was playing and I was feeling a bit emotional. Suddenly my boyfriend asks me:

 

BF; 'what's happened, what's going on???

Me: Nothing, just listening to Celine, it's so beautiful, why?

BF: you looked like somebody had just died or Trump had bombed North Korea!

 

Apparently, Celine + CNN makes me look like the end of the world is just around the corner... :wacko:

I'm very emotional when it comes to Céline. Too much I think. She's the one I go to when I feel bad and need something to lift my spirits.

 

and North Korea... sigh. Not gonna end well.

I never recall them releasing the DVD's digitally! I know that they release singles digitally and EP's but not DVD's! So your having region code problems?

That sucks your going through that issue! I'm sorry however I bought Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas the actual single in a CD format from France and when I bought it I was all excited until I realized that it's probably not NTSC format, but when it came it played on my iTunes and now I have it!!!!!!

So now since I have a NTSC laptop, I'm thinking if I should re order the DVD's from Amazon.com or celinedion.com (will compare prices) or wait until I'm in France and buy them in PAL and change my laptop to PAL.

That's my all time favorite French song and I saw the single online for only $12 brand new and I'm like I have to have it!!! I ended up getting Et S'il N'en Restait Qu'une single too so my Celine collection goes past just the original albums!!!

It's unforgivable that Céline never performed Rien n'est vraiment fini back in 2003, at some of the album TV specials! :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby:

 

I'm still holding out hope for "Contre nature," "Je lui dirai" and "Reteins-moi" will see the stage LIVE someday.

Nope, as far as I can see they aren't :(

 

Kinda weird that we can't buy them online for download, at least on iTunes.

A thought about the airplane that Céline has been using a lot lately.

I saw in an interview about Law and the Hollywood Reporter photo shoot that it was done in front of Célines private airplane.

 

We have been thinking that it's Caesars Palace airplane.

 

But could it be hers? and sponsored by Caesars Palace?
