They did that charity concert that time didn't they?

Kev. X

You mean the 2005 one with Seinfeld also?

Yeah love that. Especially when they sing Sorry Seems To Be and Saturday Nights Alright together 💕

Do you guys have or saw the picture of Céline posing like this... i think it was in the 90's.. she has curly long hair. i think it was in the era of 1998-1999. She's posing like this like a model with the 2 guys (i think it was her bodyguards). I remember it was shot in black and white and the background is like an alley (if i'm not mistaken) :)

That was cool! Wish we had a better video, like HQ but I'll take that :)

Oh and if everyone spoke french like Elton John, then I'd have no problem with french! lol.

I've been to once of his concerts and he held my hand (been closer to him than Céline :wtf: ) and I didn't really enjoy it at all, mainly because he sang so many songs that I didn't know.

I bet that's why Céline only does her most famous songs, trying to please everyone.

And they played Elton on the radio today, some very very sad song, Candle in the wind? hmm can't remember but it made my heart rush because I thought that maybe he had passed away. So as soon as I could park my car, I checked the news to see if something bad had happened (and no nothing  )

"Candle In The Wind" was a hit twice for Elton. He wrote and recorded it initially for Marilyn Monroe (the original opening lyric is "goodbye, Norma Jean" which was Marilyn's real name). He later re-recorded it in 1997 when Princess Diana passed away.

ahh good I got the name right. That's why I thought Elton had passed away. They never play that song on the radio

Regarding the accent in her "logo", I always viewed the curve of the "C" in her name to be a subliminal accent mark. Its placement is curved and positioned just enough that it could be an artistic choice.

The French police officer(xavier jugele) that died was a BIG fan of Celine and he was planning on attending one of Celine's concerts this summer in France.

On Croke Park's website it says it was more than 80,000! For Beyonce that is.

How about Céline's Stade de France back in 1999? It's a stadium, right? and it's big!

It was 90.000 per night. So, 180.000 in two sold out shows 😉

I think it was about 87 thousand people at Wembley stadium in 1999, and she had 2 concerts sold out.

But Stade de France is the record holder for Céline

Guys, I was always wondering:

Gloria made reference to that SNL skit where Anna Gesteyer as Celine outsings Chris Kattan (as Gloria)

Did you ever come across a video of that sketch? I've never seen it and would love to have a look at it.

The partner of the police officer who died in Paris last week gave a powerful eulogy where he spoke amongst other things about the love his partner had for Celine Dion, his favourite singer, whom he would follow on tour, just as many of us do.

RIP Xavier.

Vole, vole petite flamme

Vole mon ange, mon ame

Quitte ta peau de misere

Va retrouver la lumiere

Thanks Ryba for showing this again, I haven't watched it in a while. It sounds so odd when she does "Here We Are" and Gloria does BYLM because, to me, I am so used to hearing their voices to their song. :)

I've always wanted to hear a full version of Here We Are with Céline! It so worked!
