I remember back in 2007, she ate a leftover stew with vegetables ... then after eating she sang.. "i don't care what people say about the two of us from different world.."

Celine actually takes a vitamin before showtime. I don't think she usually eats much of anything before a show, just a few bites of something at most. That's probably why she takes a vitamin, to make sure she's getting her proper amount of nutreince throughout the day.

 

I remember reading that Celine use to pack herself a lunch box though, with veggies and V8 juice. I don't know if she still does this. Perhaps she brings hummus and banana to work now, because she recently said that it's one of her go to snacks. :)

 

Celine has a personal chef at home for the kids, so I'm sure they are very well taken care of in that department. I don't know what they eat, but I'm sure it probably tastes very delicious.

I've always gotten the vibe they put on a show and it was a Rene thing... now that they haven't been together in quite a while I honestly wonder.

Well, Julie started following Céline on Twitter recently. I'm not sure if it means anything, but in the celebrity world it seems to matter. :)

 

Or maybe she first unfollowed Céline and started following her again recently (I noticed Julie wasn't following her a couple of weeks ago).

 

Anyway, I've always thought Céline and Julie were kind of alike, but Julie seems like the meaner, more sarcastic version.

i think Celine is a better comedian but Julie is a bit more intellectual in her jokes. She really had a bad time also with her husband(now ex) . Both of them are funny.
Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....

no they marry just one time it was in 2015, but it did not las long. And they have difficulty with custody of the childs, and add the fact that Julie ex was the owner of the tv station where she worked, and he cut her and about the all the programs she was producing for the station. So she is going to others tv chanels with her production ans i would not be surprised that she would go back to Radio=Canada as a host of something , because she was very good. It begins to be clearer for her, but she was in a tumults in many aspects of her life. Edited by québecflower

I've not followed the drama between those two, but just the programming changes and her being pushed out at TVA tells me it's nasty.

I never got the vibe that it was just a show. They had such great chemistry and it seemed really genuine. And Celine shared things with Julie that she never shared with any other interviewer (her miscarriage of the third baby she carried with the twins; her reaction when Rene was accused of rape, etc). I do think Rene was closer to Julie than Celine was, but I think Celine's and Julie's friendship was genuine (a work friendship, not like her friendship with someone like Robin, but a genuine friendship nonetheless). I think of the time that Celine and Rene went on Le Banquier for Julie's birthday -- not to promote anything, but just to have fun. And they all seemed to be having such a great time. Or when Celine and Julie went nuts giggling about the ginormous carrot (I think it was backstage at L'Ete Indien), feeding off each other and making all these wacky jokes. I don't think you can manufacture that kind of connection.

 

Aldo cut off a LOT of Celine's long-time collaborators, mostly for cost reasons. I think that's much more likely to be the reason she hasn't done an interview with Julie in a long time. If Dave Platel is back, I wonder if that will change.

Yeah! He did cut off a lot...... pffft! and now he's gone! The story for me is was it really family matters or has the iron fist of Celine started to reign! (sorry a bit dramatic there :giggle: )

Julie was still like under TVA control, i think it is more her ex-husband who cut Julie from the interview. Maybe Julie could have been a little upset that Celine did not put her feet on the ground. But Celine was having other things on her mind. Time heals . :)

Yup, Céline's been following Julie almost ever since the account was created I think. Which is why I think Julie *may* have unfollowed her at some point, only to start following her again recently. Though I doubt Céline ever noticed :P

Imagine it was conflict of interest. Productions J was getting government funding (as does every Canadian production company, which is effectively why so much stuff gets produced in Canada), and suddenly her husband was head of one of the major political parties.
