The only English album to discover for me is the 1992 album.

So far I only know the biggest French hits, I have the Une Seule Fois / Live 2013 CD/DVD but I might buy the soon to be released French vinyl records

Yeah idk about that one. I like the song Je lui dirai and In some small way is also kinda nice but about the rest I'm not sure. Didn't hit me that much but sometimes it takes some time to get used to a certain album

Dion revealed the recording process of this song in her authorized biography Celine Dion : For Keeps: “ I was not satisfied with the first recording we made with "Falling into You." This is a song with many nuances, with half-tones. I found the arrangements were too violent, my voice didn't flow enough. Everybody, however, the technicians, the authors, even David and René, seemed satisfied. I said nothing. But René felt that I wasn't happy... He asked me what was wrong. I explained it to him. He seemed surprised. Then I hummed him "Falling into You" describing after every time the arrangements which I was imagining. He quickly agreed with me. He seemed amazed, as if he just discovered something... I called the director and the engineer to explain how I was feeling my song, what kind of changes. They all agreed and were happy, they said it to me... This song marked a step of my emancipation as an artist... I was becoming a mature, grown-up, autonomous artist... So we came back in studio and we recorded "Falling into You" again. It never became a big song for the stage; it is too sweet, too subtle to move a crowd. But it is, in my opinion, one of the thrillest songs on the album Falling into You. And I love the lyrics.[4]

 

 

Beautiful, nuanced vocal. The final moments of this song are thrilling.

We all know Celine enjoys a spectacular and enduring career. I start this particular thread acknowledging this well-known FACT! :yes:

 

However, many members have expressed criticisms in relation to the way her career was handled in some specific occasions. This is a thread to express your opinions without going off topic, without having other members complaining about your complaints!

 

The rules I came up with are as below:

 

1.Name ONE occasion in her career which could/would/should have been dealt with better. ONE Crime per post.

2.LIKE posts which include a crime you agree with.

3.AVOID lengthy discussions and arguments, the point is to document missteps and see which ones are perceived to be the most serious.

4.Do NOT act smart and do NOT insult professionals who have worked with Celine.

 

Here it goes:

 

Crime: I consider it a Crime that no live CD/DVD was ever released from the anglophone leg of the LTAL tour. The peak of Celine's popularity and international career has not been properly documented IMO.

I just received Encore Un Soir on vinyl

The only weird thing is that the sound is perfect except for disc 1 side A. But I don't think bad sound on four songs is enough to return it

Did she say that? I didn't actually watch it. lol it's so silly how people can go off you just because of what singers you like. Sad but true sometimes 😦

As I experienced Céline's concert alreay twice, I wondered how her fanchant 'seven nation army' started that at most of EVERY live,her fans on fire keep on singing it?

I broke out the Céline fan thing on my first date with my girlfriend and turns out she was a huge fan as well! 3 years later we are heading to Vegas to see Céline together for the 3rd and 4th time. :)

Done watching Pearl Harbor on Cinemax and the end credits song "There You'll Be" if céline didn't turned down this song OMG imagining céline hit the notes so powerful.. :)
