I don't know much about this but last year they did the same. I don't think it's the real Canadiens but just people that like playing hockey (former hockey players?) and just borrowing the Canadiens outfit. Just a friendly game between her two towns (Montréal-Las Vegas)

I kinda THINK it's Céline that has something to do with this since last year some of her family members were playing as well.

Also says that Alain Sylvestre was the head Coach for "Canadiens" but we all know he's married to Linda and is living in Las Vegas

And then Clement is photographed with The Golden Knights, and he's living in Montréal. So mix of all kind of people.

 

 

But I'd love to hear the real story behind this game

 

Thanks for the info. I'd like to hear the story behind this game as well. I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but Therese Dion was in the audience! :-D

Yeah I think it's some former NHLers and a bunch of Celine's family (those 2 above are her nephews).

Rufus Wainwright (��) performed a cancer research fundraiser concert in Montreal last night. Apparently he sang Une Colombe and Ziggy!

Do you know where or when she praised the show?

 

It was an interview with her and Clive Davis after her WMA performance 2004, where Celine also attended.

On FB there's a clip of Claudette talking about how Celine asked her to help her at the beginning of the TC tour. Anyone remember this? I don't remember Claudette being with her. Rene was ill and Claudette cancelled everything she had planned to spend 6 months with Celine. Anyone shed any light?? 🙂

I haven't heard that before. But I don't think Claudette and Céline are very close.

I remember an interview with Claudette in the summer of 2011 and Céline announced her pregnancy that spring. About 2-3 months later, Claudette said she was very happy that Céline was pregnant but had not spoken to her yet.

Can you share the link to the clip? I don't remember this either. I thought it was Celine who was sick at the beginning of the TC tour - right before her 40th birthday.

Never mind - I see the clip (below). But I wonder if the translation/caption are 100% correct. Because Claudette didn't say anything I could hear about the TC tour. She said something about it being the first time she leaves the house without Rene . . . maybe when he had the heart attack in '92 (I think her mother joined her then, though?) or when he was sick in '99? Once RC was born, wasn't Linda usually with her to help with RC? The TC tour timing just doesn't make sense here.

Well, no Celine, but what an amazing concert that was. In every way. So wish I could have been there. But was good to be able to listen on the radio.

That's what confused me - the TC bit! Yeah it must be the translation was wrong.

So sad. RIP Jerry Lewis. I thought of Celine right away when I saw the news. I know she will for sure make some kind of statement, because they were good friends and she appeared on his telethon many times over the years. Jerry even saw Celine's show a year or so ago, so I'm sure Celine will say something about this soon.

 

My prayers go out to Jerry's family and loved ones. :down:

Wish Céline had sent some kind of statement or a few words about Barcelona attacks. She did with Manchester, London and Nice. I guess she's like "on vacation" mode now, but still...

I can't even read the news about Barcelona and I start to cry. What a horrible thing :(

 

I guess Céline only spoke about London, Manchester and Nice because she was performing there. I'm 100% sure if she was performing on stage right now, she would mention Barcelona

I'm pretty disappointed TeamCeline didn't do anything with "Shadow Of Love" for today's Eclipse Day. Then again, I'm not really surprised.

Maybe because Team Céline is in Montréal and the Eclipse wasn't there. It was really irrelevant for the rest of the world that didn't see it

What's the connection to the eclipse other than the word shadow? It refers to moon eclipse...this was a solar eclipse lol

I wasn't expecting Celine to fly to Portland or Nashville to perform the song. However, her damn team could have created a cool graphic with the line to celebrate the eclipse. Hell, Bonnie Tyler performed her hit, "Total Eclipse Of The Heart," during the event. Her song soared to #1 on iTunes on Monday, knocking out Bieber, Imagine Dragons and so many others.
