Celine performs at Barclaycard presents BST Hyde Park concerts 2019

I’ve created a Dropbox folder for some vids and photos from Friday night. The files were just too big to upload here.

I apologise for the quality of some, and others are a bit shaky because I was using a tiny digital camera and once I’d zoomed in, it became hard to keep the image steady. That said, I’m happy with how some of them turned out, especially TR.

The costumes were amazing!! I don't think she ever dressed this good for an entire concert! And the colours, wow. What a relief to get id of the Vegas gold suit.

See for me the costumes were the one downside. Although i have to say I too was glad to see the back of that awful gold suit.

I loved the green dress which luckily she did most of the show in, the bun wasn't too bad with the dress either. But the two jump suits combined with the bun really didn't work. I was indifferent to the yellow dress. Hopefully they will get rid of the sequined jumpsuits before the tour. There was something very Eurovision about them.

I had the same thought as others that maybe the clothes had been chosen for pride. For me that is a good way of giving a nod to it without having gone overboard and turned it into a pride event. After all it was a show for everybody, and that is what Celine does so well, her shows are very inclusive.

Glad you enjoyed, bet you're glad you went now!!

She was on fire and the crowd were singing along so loud, at times she was almost drowned out by them but it all added to the atmosphere. I managed to get second row in Gold Circle and was more than happy with my view. I stood in that same spot from just after 1pm, only moving once for a toilet break and a beer and quick bite. My feet have never been in so much pain by the end but she was so worth it. Honestly, I wouldn't do that for anyone but her.

Vegas setlist blah blah blah. Yes we wanted to witness something totally new and unexpected but in the end this show had just enough of everything and the crowd lapped it up. Imagine at the end had me in tears and was the surprise of the night for me.

It was funny when earlier in the day Claire Richards (who was also fab) said at this point in the setlist I usually do a cover and it's RDMH but no way was she gonna step on Celine's toes and then Josh came out and sang SOTR and I thought f***, this is gonna be a damp squib of an ending to Celine's show but she pulled out all the stops to make sure that didn't happen and I'm glad I got to witness what I hope will be a one time thing.

My only small gripe was she could easily have added in the string quartet section cos she finished a good 20 mins earlier than her time, perhaps because she kept her talking to a minimum compared to the last few shows I've seen.

The pride coloured outfits were fitting, I only realised that this morning and thought it was very tasteful.

More Celine memories made and ready now for the next chapter. Bring on the Courage World Tour!!

She did keep talking to a minimum by her standards. I was glad that the Ryan Reynolds speech was kept short though!

I’m so old and ache all over like I’ve been beaten with an iron bar (never one for exaggeration) but I am still on such a comedown/withdrawal. I had the best day and night. Need to find good footage of Imagine where we appeared on the big screen behind her 💙💚💙

Come back, Céline

My feet are still aching, still in London, catching the train home to Glasgow tomorrow, unable to do as much sightseeing as I would’ve liked, purely because my feet still hurt. Just glad I have visited London on a few occasions before and pretty much covered all the main landmarks lol

We were extremely lucky with the weather as it turns out, as rain came on last night for Stevie Wonder and already been raining again this morning. Fingers crossed it clears for those going to Barbra show tonight.

Incidentally, I’ve seen mixed reviews for Stevie’s set, mainly about poor sound but nothing but glowing reviews for Celine, as always.

Celine's plane currently on approach into Montréal Saint-Hubert Longueuil Airport.

Time for her to have a couple of months of rest and prepare something amazing for the tour in September.

She has a massive gap in her tour schedule in November too. Hopefully she'll be back in Europe for some album promo. :hmm:

Well, she also has to take a break. Every 12-14 shows she takes 2-4 weeks off to recuperate. So she might take a week off, do a week of promo then another week off

There were loads of celebrities at Celine’s show, to name a few that I’ve heard about:

Adele

Margot Robbie

Perrie Edwards (Little Mix)

Mylene Klass

Sam Smith

Richard Arnold (Morning TV)

Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald/Coronation St)

Caroline Flack

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie

Unfortunately, I only managed to meet Gary Lamont, an actor from Glasgow Soap Opera River City, after he bumped into my nephew on the way out and kept apologising. The irony is I could’ve met him at home in Glasgow lmao

Totally mixed reviews of Stevie around the sound loads of ppl reported leaving early. Where as you said Super star our queen has absolutely knocked it out the park. I am loving how she seems to have reinvented herself and seems to be flying now.

Didn’t expect much from this concert but she definitely delivered and there seemed to be great magic in the air, good crowd. Wish I could’ve been there.

Personal favorites Think Twice, Imagine and the absolutely fabulous The Reason

Yeah also it was beginning to rain 40 minutes before the end so I can imagine people left earlier.

Also he was very hard to see from GA, where celine is in bright colors and walking around you could still spot her.

He is just sitting behind his piano.

Agree. I really don't like how she's doing it. It'll be interesting to see how she does it for a French audience.

I do wish she would sing it in English at least once. I love it in French but I can't remember a time when she has done it in English!!

I wish she’ll do a song that is half french half english live on stage like PQTME, EJTE, JSP, TLS, Ziggy, etc.

PQTME-ITWIT

JSP-IDK

I think they just look good together. And i think he’s nice. I ship them :)

"Speaking on his radio show, [Alan] Carr said: “Can I name drop? Well, Adele invited me and Paul, my partner, to see Celine Dion at Hyde Park yesterday.

“And she was amazing. It was just great. All killer, no filler. Do you know what I am saying?"

Through the years I've been thinking "is this a normal behavior of a fan? Am I less of a fan for not obsessing about this? And why should we follow her every step?"

People who stalk her plane are creepy AF.

Peace and love to all.

I must be a bad vocal fan but many of the examples of "INSANE vocals" in the beginning of the clip sounds to me quite strained and as she is running out of beath.

No strain, just heavily compressed vocals. She never sounds good singing Im Alive or TTWII anymore. Her darker, froggier tone combined with lowered keys makes them unappealing and bad sounding to me. Imo TTWII would sound better in a higher key, as the higher the notes are the less she sounds dark and froggy. But from the IACBTMN rehersal clip onward it all sounds great to me

That outfit is so neat! I especially love the arms and all the glitter  Wish she'd sing some gay disco anthem in it like I Will Survive or I Am What I Am...

The disco dance is cute. Callback to the '99 tour, especially with this jumpsuit
