Celine performs at Barclaycard presents BST Hyde Park concerts 2019

Hey hey Manu you're welcome ! I was really happy to be with you at this wonderful concert. And as you promised, we were front raw... and not only front raw but right in the middle !!! We were sooooooo lucky, I can't believe it.

 

I am also happy to see that finally Shamrock was there too (he also wanted my ticket ahah).

 

This journey was awesome, even though I was a little bit sad because I did not manage to have a picture with Céline or tell her how I love her. I stayed a long long time waiting for her after rehearsals (that I missed... my plane was late.... I ran but it wasn't enough) and I didn't know where her hotel was, first. And I was also sad on Saturday when I had to take my plane, even tough I was waiting at her hotel between 9am to 1.30pm. I was front raw at her hotel, and when I had to leave to take my plane, I cried but the other fans were soooo cute cuddling me.

BUT I saw her on Thursday night after the show, at her hotel, with all these crazy Céline's fans and it was amazing.

 

The show itself of course was GREAT, as you already know. It was such a beautiful evening. For the first time staying first raw, with all these fans, knowing the lyrics by heart, so overwhelming !!! Céline was also overwhelmed, she cried... Touching.

 

I was happy for the setlist because I didn't go to Las Vegas, so for me it was just magical. I cried a lot during "To love you more" (yeahhhh maybe I'm a bit depressed, I easily cry ahahah). FOMO was gorgeous because the fans know the lyrics.. And "Imagine".. oh God <3. I also was very happy to hear "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" in a special way. I really love when she changes things in her songs !

 

But as Manu said, as we were right in the middle, the cameraman was always in front of us, and really it was hard to see her sometimes. I hope it was for a good reason and the show will be on a DVD..

The other disappointment was the lack of a duet with Josh Groban. I didn't understand why. But it was ok for me.

 

Really, this journey was amazing, also because I met a lot of great fans from different countries (Switzerland, France, Belgium, England, Germany, USA, Croatia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Spain/Sweden (manu ) and so on !!). Céline's fans are soooo kind and nice. I love you all <3 .

 

I hope there will be more concerts like this, to gather fans from all around the world...

I was also outside Celine’s hotel and saw when you had to leave, I felt so sad for you (I was at the opposite side of the door) but if it makes you feel better Celine didn’t actually come to the fans - she stood on the steps and gave a little speech before leaving out the back, she signed maybe 1 or 2 things and then got in her car. I have a video of her speech if you would like it, she came out at 3pm and if I remember right your flight was at 3:10?

It looks like Babs got an even bigger audience I read somewhere about 70 000 people. 70000 people came to see her sipping some tea in her dusty living room.

The fans with who I waited there already told me that she didn't sign when she came out of the hotel, so I was a little less sad even though I would have been happy to see her speech and to be next to her ^^

Well I was at both concerts this weekend and had general tickets for both concerts. Their was far more space to move around at Barbara then at Celine's concert. And from what I read in the UK press Celine's show got great reviews.

Probably mostly for the benefit of the musicians rehearsing the actual music. Possibly also to remind her of the pacing of the song etc.. that and what would be the point of lip synching at rehersals

Just been watching some videos on YouTube, strangely enough some of the changes and nuances I didn’t notice when there, I really like the way she sang TTWII, it seemed to have a little more punch to it than usual and I liked the couple of changes she made. Not sure if this is how she’s been singing it in Vegas or if it was just the adrenaline getting her going.

 

Also, really do wish she would sing the lipped songs live as no reason that I can see for the likes of BYLM or IACBTMN to be lipped, as she sings harder songs live, ie TR, TT, in my opinion. It’s a worry when you think that so many singers go to see her perform, they must be able to spot the lipping a mile off. I’ve noticed that now not only does she over exaggerate with the lip quivers, she’s now holding the mic way too close to her mouth to cover any mistiming and it’s so noticeable that when she’s live, she moves the mic back and forth towards and from her mouth depending on type of notes etc. This forthcoming tour is called Courage and I just wish she would find the courage to go all out and sing the full show live. 2017 tour was an improvement on the ratio of live to lipped so let’s hope we can get back to that! I really think that in this setting the climax of MHWGO needed to be live so she could’ve asked us to sing and I cannot understand why it wasn’t. I think this from the 2017 tour added to the whole moment and no reason why she couldn’t carry on doing so, especially on nights where she feels she can’t do it herself.

 

Also, noticed she fluffed a line again in FOMO, hope she perfects this and the other new songs for the tour as I’ve always hated how if she rehearses a song lyric incorrectly, it seems to stay this way forever ie FA ‘just let the clouds JUST (should be THAT) bring you down, just fade away’. Ruined the whole song for me during TCWT as singing this one wrong word made the line not make sense.

 

Just a few comments to note but she did put on an awesome performance and I loved it!! Still keep thinking though, if only we’d got the prayer with Josh and the String Quartet medley, this would’ve been the icing on the cake. There was still plenty time for this as she finished well before her time-slot.

To be honest, knowing she is not healthy, I'm afraid she can't make a whole show without lipping.

I do support her for going out there though and forming a new world Tour that must be so hard for her.

The concert was amazing. Vocally she was in top shape. I was hoping she would debut a new song but it doesn't matter. It was still magical.

 

Then, I was also at her hotel and saw her by chance!! Managed to take a photo with her. I was so excited but truly unforgettable moment.

Imo celine doesnt even have to rehearse the playback with them. Considering the level of engineers she has, they will have all the volumes, ratios, outputs etc. All pre done, so all they have to do is slide her mic down low and the track up high.... and yes, Mariahs engineers are..... less than adequate.

 

Im still hoping one day, TPOL or IACBTMN playback will break or not be working correctly, and so they tell her and she sings it live.... a dream lol
