BST have updated the app to say “Our app will be updated for 2019 by June 25th 2019. Stay tuned!”

 

I mean is it REALLY that hard to put a few times down?

 

Maybe they’re close to getting another act for one of the dates to sign on so they’re waiting to finalize the schedule until then? That’s the only thing I can think of. Otherwise, if all of the artists are booked - they must know a schedule 2 weeks before the event and I agree with you - how hard is it to add those times to the app?!

The song could have worked great had she taken its subject matter more seriously and given it respect. Grabbing one’s crotch and gyrating one’s hips while singing about a woman being murdered while in an abusive relationship is tasteless beyond words. No wonder the audience felt disconnected to the song and performance.

 

Her accent and the frog voice she used through it probably meant they had no idea what she was saying anyway...

Yep. we were just discussing that shambles earlier... is it that hard to put down some estimates like jesus. Theres only a 9 hour window, not as if the estimates matter

Did the songs Only One Road, Misled, and Water From The Moon chart high in the UK?

 

It seems like TCOML album was even more successful there than it was in the US.

 

TPOL was a huge hit in the US but it seems Think Twice was an even bigger hit in the UK?

 

I hope we get to see these songs performed again! What a gift that would be.

I know - so frustrating. That’s only 10 days before the event! I don’t see how they could wait any longer for a schedule - the artists themselves are going to need to know what time to plan to be there. Fingers crossed that in 5 more days all will be revealed.

Think Twice was (i believe) #1 for 7 weeks in the UK.

 

Only One Road peaked at #9 and stayed in the Top #20 for a few weeks. It was airplay only i *think*, maybe im wrong.

 

Water From The Moon only charted in Canada and the US, however that could mean its being considered for the tour, rather than BST, however that’s speculation

 

Misled peaked at #15 and was, according to its article, big in the nightclub scene.

For the longest time you were right Steve. Rihanna has since matched the achievement. Celine will always have achieved it first though. ;)

One of her songs that was actually a HIT that I'd love to see again is IF YOU ASKED ME TO. She needs to reclaim that song.

 

And then there are lots of other Celine songs that weren't necessarily radio hits but are well known even among casual fans:

 

Tell Him, To Love You More, Seduces Me, Declaration of Love, etc. etc.

 

But it'd MOST be fun for her to dust off some songs that she's either never performed or hasn't performed in YEARS.

Misled was the first uptempo from Celine in the UK, correct me if I’m wrong.... and it was then re-released for Xmas with Xmas bells added too lol. Edited by Shamrock_1982

she is the only female with two PHYSICAL singles with over a million sales. Rihanna has 11 ones over a million but digital and/or streaming comibined

Actually If You Asked Me To could have been part of the Bond medley due to the original version :-D

If I remember correctly, that's what Diane Warren (the writer of the song) thought when she saw the show once. :giggle:

Oh Good Lord, the app has been updated again to say that it will be updated by June 26th now! At this point, I’m expecting to get on the plane on July 4th with no idea of what time anything is going to happen other than that the doors open at 1pm. I’ll try to just think of it as one grand adventure.

I cycle past Hyde Park every day on my way to work, now that the stages are going up its getting very hard to cycle in a straight line and not stare in!
