BST did say more acts are to be announced for Celine’s show.

 

I hope that Barry Gibb will join her for immortality as he’s usually living in London in the summer months.

 

That sounds like a better plan!

Ok...they seem annoying AF. Really hoping they’re on one of the smaller stages but they’re probably on the main stage to “get people going.”

 

Edited to say: I’ve watched a few more videos and they don’t seem as annoying as they did in the first one I watched. Also, I saw videos of them at BST - they do appear to be on a smaller stage in the General Admissions area.

I’d love to see her on the one show... everyone watches that before the soaps, so more exposure.

 

Some big names have been on there over the last year.

They would have a hard time shutting her up though for the different segments to be shown on the show lmao!!!

 

Fingers crossed she does this in November.

 

Lorraine isn’t a fan of Celine btw!

Exactly! I found some YouTube videos of them at BST over the years - they’re on a smaller stage in the general admission area.

However, that could be the “acts to be announced across all 5 dates” that the email was talking about. Claire and Josh might really be the only other acts on the main stage on Celine date.

Honestly whilst it would be great see more support acts announced I’m there for Celine and only Celine. If there’s 2 or 20 support acts it won’t make any difference to me.

 

I just have to think of Arno Carstens at the o2 in London in 2008 and it puts me sleep!

 

The only support act I’ve actually ever genuinely enjoyed before a Celine show was The Corrs at Murrayfield in 1999. (Edited to add I did enjoy Véronic too)

I also don’t really care about the support Acts - am definitely just there for Celine. (Although I feel fortunate that the two announced I know I will enjoy.) I’m just curious because people keep saying there are going to be more announced and we keep getting none. Am also interested in planning the day. If no music Acts will really start until 5pm, I might arrive a bit later - like the GA time maybe. They’ll have the schedule posted by the 20th so not long to wait either way. She can still sing every song.

It's more because of the quantity of shows (and perhaps lack of wanting to sing them live) she does, which would make singing them live all the time harder.

She can sing them just fine and she has proven that more than once. Ditching one of her most succesful and wanted songs because of 2 lipped notes doesn't make sense, and she can't just ditch the songs that the average audience wants to listen to. We've had this discussion hundreds of times. Almost none of us here wants to listen to these 5 big hits but we and she can't do nothing about it.

The amount of shows she does and the difficulty of her song considered, her lipping is tiny. She only lips (based on her summer tours) around 10% of her shows. 2016 tour example, TPOL,IACBTMN, BYLM and the end note of TSMGO, out of 26 songs, thats 12%. Vegas 2016-2018 had her biggest amount of lipping since TCWT; IS,TPOL,WDMHBN,IACBTMN,BYLM,MHWGO climax, TSMGO final verse and chorus and ABM notes. Which is still only 30% of her show, nowhere near the lipping quanity of TCWT or AND where she was lipping 55% of her show

hey guys, does anyone know if BST are offering their ticket upgrade programme again this year? I could only afford gold when tickets first came out, but would be keen to upgrade now that i'm a couple of pay checks in!!

Agreed, the Corrs supported her in Glasgow in 1996 and I was hooked, to be fair I'm quite excited to see Josh Groban this time
