I feel like it's only a matter of time before Cirque does a Celine-themed show. Not necessarily a permanent resident show, like the MJ or Beatles ones in Vegas, but maybe a summer one in Quebec like they've been doing for the past few years. Last year it was a Luc Plamondon show, this year it's Les Colocs. I feel like a Celine one is just around the corner.

 

please not and add yet another chapter Las Vegas?? enough is enough imo.

A Celine-themed show by Cirque do Soleil. Not a show by Celine. Like they've been doing based on a number of other artists - The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley (resident shows in Vegas), Luc Plamondon, Les Colocs, Beau Dommage, Robert Charlebois (seasonal shows in Quebec). Frankly, I was surprised they went with Les Colocs this year, not Celine. It's bound to happen, and soon, I think (hope!)

 

I don't see how you could have a problem with that. I, for one, would love nothing more than for Cirque to create something around Celine's music. Ideally staged by Robert Lapage, please All my favourite Quebecois things in one!

I'm talking about a CDS show soundtracked / inspired by Celine's life & music. Different things.

I understand what you said, I just think Celine will always do Vegas in some shape or form, and I think if she does when she starts a totally new show, I bet it will be another cirque show similar to AND..

very high chance Celine will be seeing the greatest show production in Bangkok Siam Niramit Bangkok, which is a must see show ....which date she will be seeing the show so I can buy the same ticket lol

I'm more a setlist person, but man does that hair/wig not suit her imo, but as long as her shows are good I could careless if she went back to the very short blonde hair and suspenders lol.

I keep seeing “CAESARS ENTERTAINMENT “ as part of sponsorship for the tour, wasn’t AEG doing the last two tours? I know Caesars entertainment does her Vegas show but who know the tour now too?

that pop queen had a seat really far in the back of the venue! what a huge hall! Would have been too far for me to enjoy this show. You only can see the two screens from there...

I think the pop celebrity is in the corporate suites. That’s why she’s the only person in that area. Just like in MOA Arena

Maybe Celine will return to Cirque de Soleil type of a show in the future she has been to a lot of these shows lately.

What? More Vegas? No thank you, we don't need her to do more Vegas shows, with Franco Dragone, Cirque du soleil, or anybody. No more.

I would def return to Vegas if she did another Cirque themed show as the A new day DVD really didn’t do it justice...? You really had to be there to capture and soak up everything as every time I saw it I noticed something new every night whether it be a visual, dancer, prop or whatever and the energy was incredible... it was a real night out! Id love to do a cirque show but like... all her deep cuts like bonus tracks, never before performed songs and one or two of her fav songs. BUT, I dont want it in Vegas. I think she could do it anywhere, London,Paris,Montreal,Berlin.. any big city where she is still clockable. Id love to see a TRULY bombastic version of Shadow Of Love (a song Mego RUINED) with all the lights and dancers and pyrotechnics. Or even a heavy orchestral version of Breakaway with flying dancers and huge effects...... sigh what a dream

Her voice was about 80% there, but still needs some vocal rest. She seemed to only struggle with Ashes and the end of The Reason.

She was way better than those few LV shows, post-surgery.

 

There was a lot of playback, but I don't mind that anymore. But I think every 10 years they need to record new playback.

 

I wish that there was more production.

She is too big of a star to have such plain/ basic production.

At the very least, she needed a good opening video, before TPOL

The orchestra was on top form though.

 

The set list was not as good as last years tour, but it was not terrible. The medley should be longer.

 

My only BIG issue, are the outfits. They are all UGLY. They seem to be getting worse each year.

The stage outfits were best during Annie Horths era.

 

I still love her,but I feel sorry for the fans who attend Celine Dion Live 2018 this year.

As for the tour,you should know that the ticket price are double or even triple this time in compare with her Europe tour last year.

How come she was just phoning it and just wanted to get it over by mixing up her LV residency and Europe tour ?

Not only 6 songs using playback,she also struggle with high notes (STOP LVresidency,PLEASE)

Her songs and background videos are recycled,too.

The stage is cheap,but the tickets are expensive.

The AND Vegas DVD didn't do it justice simply because the show as it was in 2007 was far from what the show was when it premiered in 2003 and its original theatrical concept. The current DVD captured not even half the magic and all the elements the show had in 2003 (including the flying Céline).

 

Not to mention that many of the ideas of the original concept that Franco Dragone had (included in the first version of the program) were never used (the walking giraffes for example) or directly rejected

The new tour is produced by Caesar Entertainment. Could they be responsible for the laziness of the production? Like, "let's bring Vegas on tour" kind of decision? (less investment, more promotion for her residency) I mean, I would not be suprised if this was the case. I really don't know how this works and could be totally wrong but this was one of my thought after seeing the pictures they posted. It still doesn't change my opinion: she + we need a long break.... I don’t want to hear anything about her taking a break! I want her around! And let’s face it, the concert is still very good. They just haven’t changed the tracklist that much, but it’s for the Asian fans anyway. It’s not like she is doing her third consecutive european tour with the exact same show and songs. Be happy that she is still touring and stop talking about you wanting her to retire. That’s crazy. Of course I agree that some more effort and creativity wouldn’t hurt and certain things make me mad too sometimes, but all in all I am happy to see her out there snd I appreciate that she wants to go to her fans and sing.
