What? More Vegas? No thank you, we don't need her to do more Vegas shows, with Franco Dragone, Cirque du soleil, or anybody. No more.

What for? To sing the same songs over and over again and see wearing herself out as she's doing? NO THANK YOU. Enough is enough already :pinch:

Not saying I want more Vegas, I'm saying I think it'll happen regardless..

I think she's gonna always be in Vegas in some shape or form.

Only Falling Into You and To Love You More justify Live 2018's ticket prices, which cost far more expensive than any other tour and residency.

Asia possess extreme high power of purchase but receives reused production from other continents. I'm so proud of the organizer's team.

Some people were in fine form in the last hours. A little resume:

Celine doesn't know how to dress.

Doesn't know how to sing.

I have gone to my occulist yesterday, will take an appointment with an audiologist today. This way , i will be able to hear and see what people are talking about. Not funny getting old like me. 51 years , think about it.

Just great :giggle:

I have no issue with a good majority of the setlist. My issue is with there being nothing truly unique to it that we hadn’t had in the past. If only one or two more unique songs had been added, I would have been happy. I was never expecting every single song from something like “Complete Best” be performed. However, performing “Be The Man” FOR THE FIRST TIME in the country it was a single would have shown not only great artistry, but a true connection to the territory she was performing. Similar thoughts could have been said for “A World To Believe In,” “When I Fall In Love,” or “The Power Of The Dream.” The only way to recover, in my opinion, is for songs like “Next Plane Out,” “Tell Him,” “I Love You,” and “I Love You, Goodbye” be added later in their respective countries. Otherwise, to me, it’s clear this is a tour in which Celine is only doing a job with barely any attachment to it whatsoever.

She looks lovely in these pics from the Dragone show today. Hope she brings more of that natural look to her photo shoots and appearances.

So, you're accusing Céline of not caring? Nice.

The jealousy against Pepe for still working with her or even having more tasks in this tour is funny. I feel amused :giggle:

I think I'm a sort of unclassifiable kind of fan... I'm going to say something... I have not listened/watched the Japan show but for the FIY performance and very few parts of the live feedback some fan was sharing on Facebook (I gave up for the constant interruptions on the Internet connection)

So surprise! I have not watched listened 90% of the show, so I'm not criticising her voice at all, because I have not enough basis to judge. And why I haven't cared to watch the video bootlegs? Because the moment I see she's singing the same setlist of songs all over again, I immediately lose all interest. I can't help it. I can't swallow again a full show of BYLM, IACBTMN, Recovering, Prince songs and the unbearable (to me now) closing myriad of boredom LCMM, RDMH and MHWGO. I just can't.

I'm not going to apologise for saying she needs to do something different with her concerts (like 98% of fans are saying here). But hey, I'm not that bad: at least I'm not attacking her voice or tearing her apart with the playback/non playback thing because simply I pass watching songs I have seen her perform hundreds of times :innocent: :)

That said, I must admit I totally admire all those of you who have the patience and the enthusiasm (still) to watch all the Vegas/tours video bootlegs to see the same songs for the 1.457 time, even if you secretly admit and are sick to death (like me) of having the same program before your eyes (and ears). That's laudable!! :giggle: :flowers:

So, you're accusing Céline of not caring? Nice.

In some ways, yes. When a tour that was said to be unique to the territory she’s touring in (her own words) has a setlist practically mirroring Europe’s and contains segments from Vegas that are getting “long in the tooth”, and has no regionally unique songs to it, that comes across as apathy and not caring to me. (“To Love You More” and “Falling Into You” are not unique only to Japan/Asia. Both had success outside of there.) For someone who claims to not give two sh!ts about chart positions, etc., her setlists sure do speak the opposite. (At least in the Anglo sense.) Sometimes, true artistry goes against doing what the entire world expects or demands. She has spoken positively about many songs she was given (because she doesn’t bother to write her own material). Yet, she then never does anything with them. Why? Because doing the status quo is easier and brings in the most money with the least amount of effort. (She wants to be more family oriented. That’s great, but it comes at a cost elsewhere in her life.)

Celine will always be my favorite vocalist. She has a major talent with what she can do with her instrument. That is undeniable. I just wish she’d put her money where her mouth is more often and say, “Screw the hits, I’m doing the songs I want to do.” The 2016 French tour was pretty damn close to this. Her career wasn’t destroyed by it. After all, she’s Celine Dion, not little miss Mary Smith trying out on “The Voice.” The people will come and still enjoy themselves. That is the darn truth, and everyone on this forum knows it.

it is a position he defends with the same ardor you deploy in your anti-vegas war. I have decided that you are both right. :-D

I learnt that we have each of us our different wars here, some are the playback/voice experts, some are the fashion victims concerned more about how she dresses than what she sings, and then some are counting the days until she finishes her Vegas imprisonment to see her doing more projects that let her voice and its versatility shine again... I'm happy to see I'm ONLY in one of those wars, and one to deffend is enough, believe me... :giggle:

And eventually there are some who are youpie-doupie about everything she does, like living in constant awe all the time :w00t:  :w00t:  :w00t:  I'd love to experiment that condition too, actually I had, the past year in London with the last tour... I was more than happy with that concert, Vegas-free show :-D

Anyway, now she's on probation mode you know :giggle: , so it's not that bad, not bad at all. We're now on Vegas-free period and only for that she seems to perform the songs in a different mood. I'm excited to see her alive and excited when she's on tour. That makes me smile, even if I roll my eyes when LCMM and BYLM start to play again :whee:

Not to mention that when someone records a new album in the studio, with all the work that's behind the process, it's because you think the artist is going to do something with it (e.g. perform the songs live?) :giggle: The natural consequence and the natural next step after recording an album is to show what's in it to the audience, and the more songs, the better. But if something has shown Céline Dion to her fans about this is that she clearly likes to swim against the tide :-D Expect the unexpected. "The best is yet to come" :giggle:

There are still several albums who had only seen a minimal part of its tracklist brought to the stage: One Heart, ANDHC, Celine Dion, TCOML, LMBTL... even LTAL, her biggest selling album to date was overshadowed with MHWGO and it still has 8 songs that had never been performed anywhere. That's more than half of the album.

It's kind of odd that having your own hall to perform as many songs and nights you want, still after 20 years she hasn't found the time to perform some of those songs at least once, among thousands of performances of the same songs that she admits she's bored to sing. It comes hard to understand, and I think that's where most of the critics and the disappointment here comes from.

I don’t understand the level of complaint here sometimes. She doesn’t have to tour. She doesn’t have to do Vegas. She doesn’t have to record music. She doesn’t have to do anything at all, but she chooses to do it because she loves it and has fans that love her.

I’m not quite sure how this is “Vegas on wheels” either... don’t see I Surrender, Quand Ça Balance, Mr. Paganini, Acoustic Medley, etc... sheesh. I for one am appreciative for all she does. After having 11 ear surgeries myself, I’d like to say after ear surgery, little high pitched noises like what she would hear in the monitor would send me to the moon. I have very sensitive ears. Can we not cut her some slack and let her do what she wants for once?

Yes, I have to say that I'm pretty disgusted by some of the comments on this forum over the past week. Thinking about joining the Red Heads, since at least their extremes are positive, vs. the vitriol spewed on this board.

Despite the fact that she's doing full versions of "I'm Alive" and "That's The Way It Is" (both not in Vegas), "Falling Into You" (not in Vegas), "To Love You More" (not in Vegas), "Think Twice" (cut from Vegas), "The Reason" (not performed in Vegas since 2013), "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" (not in Vegas), "The Power of Love" & "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" (new arrangements for the tour), and the violin acoustic medley (not in Vegas), so many of you are b*tching and moaning calling it "Vegas on Wheels." Far from it. And then when she DOES change it up, it's "Why is she doing a violin cover of 'Unison'?"

If all you're going to do is come on the board and cry "VEGAS IS RUINING HER CAREER" and "I HATE LOVE CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS," I think some of you need to just sit in a dark room and listen to "Then You Look at Me" on repeat on your Sony Walkman and mourn the career that you WANT her to have vs. the career that SHE seems pretty happy with. It's exhausting to come on some of these threads, hoping to find updated news, videos, and pictures from the tour and have to wade through posts of "Her voice is terrible," "I hate what Pepe styles her in," "I hate the Falling Into You dance," etc. etc. etc.

THIS! Alllllllll of this! Nearly choked on my coffee when I read the Sony Walkman line btw. :sofunny:

I think I have mentioned this before but I'm glad she's in Vegas and if she stays longer then I'm more than happy. Do I want her to change things up and play around a little with things? Yes I do but I also know how to just go with the flow and except the show for what it is, a chance for me to still see her.

The thing is, though, is she really doing what she wants to do? I get the feeling she is doing things due to obligation, remorse, guilt, and “requirements” based on chart positions. The 2016 tour was the closest we came to seeing the real Celine because she was given freedoms to do what she wanted to help her through the grieving process. However, that extension is lessening, and the aforementioned things are starting to get in the way again. That’s the way I see it.

What some people on here don't understand is that we're not happy and in agreement with everything Celine does either. There's things we don't like and things we criticise but there's some people on here that keep repeating their criticism over and over and over like we got it the third time, no need for repeating it again.

I'm in Celine's fan base on Twitter and instagram as well and we criticise Celine too, we don't like everything but there's so much negativity on here for no reason. Constantly repeating yourself, won't change anything. Celine is not reading and at the end of the day she'll end up doing what she feels like unless one of you meets her and tells her directly everything you write on here I guess

If the team was smart she would do her English album interviews now in Asia ready for when the album comes out. Similar to what she did in Europe for LMBTL

I don't understand posts like this... especially from people who haven't seen Céline perform live in years.

What are you basing your assumptions on? Are they based on the happy Céline that we see on stage laughing and talking to the audience for 15 minutes telling stories? Are they based on the excited and energetic Céline performing LCMM/RDMH and dancing with the crowd in the pit, giving high fives? Are they based on the resilient Céline who even when she's having back spasms, she goes on stage basically in a girdle to perform?

OR, are they based on the fact that you don't like what she's doing, so if you don't like it, then SHE must hate it too?

YAAAAASSSSS!!!
