Unison was performed already in Vegas during A New Day (but in a better version than the horrible solo violin arrangement of this tour)

 

At Seventeen comes from Vegas. Well, to be more precise, the song dates as back as from a performance she did for Grammy nominations in 2008 (since then, to me, the song lost its magic, but that's a personal opinion)

 

To Love You More has been performed to death in Vegas during A New Day and then during the TCWT.

 

The Reason was performed in Vegas during the first version of the Celine show in 2011.

 

The only song that doesn't come from Vegas shows is Think Twice

 

 

Think Twice is a this year's Vegas song. Only To Love You More and Falling Into You seems so new.

They never needed to rehearse a new song so they had more time for social media. Unless you're Celine no time for new songs or social media lol

I know, I mean the song was first recovered for the 2017 tour, and then she included the song in Vegas later. For a change, it was the opposite and she broke the rule lol (normaly she includes the songs in Vegas and then recycles them for the tours).

most Celine's fan are not exactly looking for reinvention , but it would not kill anyone to sing Call the man immortality and some happy songs like someboby loves somebody, right in front of you, things like that. but i think she did not have the time to do all she wanted to do with her ear. RDMH and LCMM are killing me. I undersant the Prince medley , she is doing some Gymnastic with it that can please the Olympian voice watcher. But something gotta give. Change is needed, Call the man

At seventeen: from 2014 it's been 4 years, and like I said before I've seen people that like it

 

The reason was playback in Vegas in the first Celine show. We only had it live last year and this year and if you're already bored of it because it was on last year's tour then idk what to say

 

And think twice again we've only had it since last year..

 

You watch every single performance every day and you get bored so quickly of everything...

She needs a manager to take care of all these things like Rene does to be perfect. Maybe that manager will ask fans what songs should be put in the setlist. her concerts are very expensive and to be honest, if this show came back this year in Holland. I don't know if I would go again. Even though I liked last year a lot, I think it is too much and less than last year to justify paying that much for her concert.

I will wait until 2021 if she decides to fresh up the setlist and comes up with a completely intesting setlist - with of course 3 fan favorites, but the rest should be interesting.

Look at Beyonce. She comes up with a tour, sings a few of her old songs but also a lot new material. Celine can do that as well. Money is not an issue anyway.

Why didn't the recycling happen in the 2017 Europe as it was only one year after the French tour in 2016?

 

Both summer tours were held in the same continent in 2 years in a row!!!!!

 

Why WERE They ABLE TO Crate Something New in the same continent for 2 years in a row?

 

And why reusing so many Vegas and 2017-based songs in Asia!!

Some singers do that when belting. It helps also to be consistent when belting.. Adds resonance too with reverb

okay but what i tried to say , by mentioning Beyonce - she is a world artist just like Celine Dion. I think it is also because of Vegas that setlists can't be reinvented anymore. She is so stuck with those so called fanfavorites that she feels she has to do each of them in every show and tour. But I think if she would change for once and do just 3 or 4 of them and for the rest new songs or even new covers of other songs. people will love it either way.

BUT I do agree and this isn't complaining, it's just my feedback based on watching the show, it was a BORE. Falling Into You is a nice surprise but the song is subtle and soft and short. It's not like a surprise song for a tour where fans go nuts for. At 17 is not how she should start the strings medley, and the idea is great to do a strings quartet(?) medley but the execution isn't fun and exciting enough for a pop concert after a series of ballads. We all know the second half of Celine's shows are a series of repeated medley's and it obviously gets stale for us true fans. There's nothing wrong with voicing that, especially after an epic 2017 surprise setlist for the European tour.

 

This tour seems to be like a let down. The stage is basically the same, the screen effects are repeated, and there are no special effects, not that she needs it, but it's 2018 and she charges more than any other artist today. The one wow factor was To Love You More and it was lipped and she didn't give the crowd enough time to applause and be excited as she ran right off the stage to let the screen effect and interlude immediately start. Everything seems to timed and rushed. Last year seemed to be a proper setlist and tour from beginning to the end.

 

I won't talk about her voice, but the only thing I easily fear is that it's going to be shot as soon as the Australian leg starts. I would get rid of The Reason and Think Twice and replace it with some up-tempo easier songs for her to sing perhaps. The second half of The Reason, I worry how she's struggling for those notes as she's not properly supporting her vocals as it's all throaty and sharp.

 

Anywhoo, this is all constructive feedback in my opinion of course. I'm just glad I attended and paid for last year's show.

I agree one hundred percent... the only "fan favorites" I feel like she HAS to do is MHWGO and BYLM.

 

Tho, IACTMN, TPOL, BATB and ABM were hits Celine could easily get away without performing those.

I for one love Celine but i feel like now is the time for a hiatus for a bit. It did her well in 2002, she came back with freshness. We are in dire need of freshness.

not cheap but easy is the word what comes up in my mind..

I can only hope she does changes the shows in Australia and New Zealand by adding some interesting songs.

I did like last year's Visuals but a new year, new show you would think, but it is basically dusting off the previous setdesign and setlist.

And one of the best things i liked last year, - the angelic humming before TPOL started, is gone too. So we will not have that on bluray.. that is sad..

And then you have those energetic crowds in Germany and England, yet is has been decided to film in Asia, even though Asia audiences are culturally not that loud or enthusiastic in concerts - that s not bad - that is how it is - but why deciding to tape that show and broadcast it on tv and not that show in England?

 

My guess is a TV Channel came to Celine’s team and offered them money for a taping to broadcast.

All I can say is this tour is Vegas on wheels! But at the same time I’m kinda happy I got to see this tour in Vegas you know!! I do feel for those who traveled all the way to Asia!

We don't know that she won't. I don't know when she is on again next, or where, but we don't know what will change/be replaced/be tweaked from country to country. And yes, let's keep in mind that there very well might be people attending who do not go see her in LV or follow her like we do so they very well might not be as disappointed and upset as all of you are. I am sad that it sounds like it did not get the attention/time it deserves, though surprised TCOL was done. I had thought for sure after last year it would still be too sad for her to do that but I guess not. I am hoping some videos will surface of the entire show, but who knows what will change. Last year's did, so hold up, folks, this ain't over yet. I would have loved if, like, she had invited some Japanese singer or band to duet with her like she did with Ito Huna during the TC tour, that is one thing I would have liked. And Call the Man, Hell yes! I would have loved that.
