First, I don't understand all those who were giggling when she did the last 2 shows in Vegas and are judging now.

 

I didn't think the changes were spectactular or that exciting back then but never ever would I have expected such a show. I mean...shorter than Vegas? Really? I was right when I wrote that by the time the tour started, the setlist will have been shortened! lol

 

On all levels, 2018 has been such a down fall so far ( beside "Ashes"). And don't come up with the surgery thing ... it's been 6 months !

 

To be totally honest, I already thought the last 2 Vegas shows were disrespectful , she used the Vegas shows to rehearse this tour so that she doesn't have to when she was off.

 

And she even said the setlist will be adapted according the country ! haha. She can be very funny sometimes.

 

Within 6 months , (right after the New Year), Céline('s team) lost all ambition and all creativity.

 

What was added? 2 new playback and 1 min of a "rare" song!

 

Céline used to be an open book... I know that library are not trendy anymore but they haven't burnt ! She doesn't do any interview anymore, her social network activity is still nonexistent...oh wait, yes her team posts the dress fitting sessions! She has time to try new outfits but not to rehearse 1 new song!

 

I can"t believe the laziness she has been surrounder with this year!

The major bad points for me- the same visuals! This show must have been by far the cheapest to put on and with the cost of tickets for these Asian countries, the promoters must be rubbing their hands together with happiness. She really pushed the boat out in TCWT and while I know that was a mega tour, the visulas here (as they are for Vegas) do not cut it in this day and age. People want a visual as well, people talk about the set, the lights etc.

 

And also, the terrible repeat of the Vegas ending MINUS I Drove All Night!!!

 

With the first show in London last year, I remember sat there freaking out as she rattled through TPOL, IDAN, TTWII, TC, and LMBTL in a two decade spanning marvel! Like an intro to the show and then she got all serious and emotional...I don't know. We are oversaturated- I said it in a previous post where I told someone off for saying 'same old boring songs...'- I don't find it boring, but they sure did this on the cheap.

Yes she had an ear surgery. She's fine. Others have a back injury and have to be operated and be back on their seats 8 hours 5 days a week, and only have 15 days to recover and are still in pain with a bunch of pills and medicines on them. And they keep on.

 

How do you know she is fine? Her condition might not present physical pain but it is much more serious for a singer than a bad knee or a back problem. She had surgery and she is probably fine, or it might be that the surgery didn't work 100% and she is still having problems listening to herself or to the instruments. The fact that she is back singing doesn't mean she is well, and even if she is now I think this whole situation affected the tour rehearsals and the album recording.

 

About the setlist, this is not a new tour, this is just an extension of the last one so apart from one or two songs I wasn't expecting any changes. Just think of Celine's mini tours as big tours split in several years. Some artists go on tours for one or two years doing the same show, Celine do the same but in parts so I don't see the problem. Next year if she is back to Europe and with a new album we will see...

It was not until the press conference (January 2018), but rather the concept of a summer tour.

The fact that the team did not work with the tourbook is a clear ignorance of the all fans.

 

That was Celine after ear surgery and Celine has recovered successfully and we all like it.

But what's strange so They do not even talk about a new album and there are still no new promotions or new single albums or new photos, and we were covered with photos from the recording studio (November - December 2017) (and the album was recorded and songs were selected already in 2016 and before Christmas) .

 

The concert was nice songs are still in. And I love it .

But it really wants new air, better graphic processing and a little bit more dancers.

And really few more songs that did not appear and stayed on the CD only because they did not have a chance)

 

And especially there is a lack of interaction between fans through her main scholars (instagram, twitter facebook and its official site it is clear)

 

There was no live stream through the main accounts.

 

 

And especially Celine celebrated 50 years and nothing extra from the team (Sony) did not come

I knew 95% of the setlist would be the same. But the Prince medley really? I honestly thought we’d get something new there, but I gave her team too much credit, back to the same old crap. TLYM is her biggest hit in Japan, she could have at least sung that second to last before MHWGO. Wasn’t the surgery only about 3 months ago, in March?! Lol.

 

She had to cancel shows, then come back and perform with a voice that wasn’t well rested/trained etc as we all discovered. Also rehearse etc the tour, whilst getting her vocals better. With the world watching, being critical, especially on here. And having the pressure of the tour looming. They enjoyed a little holiday after LV before being away for the next few months, and still people are moaning. Yes a few more changes would be nice etc, but come on! It’s the first show,maybe they’ll be a change or two for Australia or something. The tour has only just started. Bloody hope Celine doesn’t read anything on here cos if I were her I’d know how I’d be feeling 🤨

not cheap but easy is the word what comes up in my mind..

I can only hope she does changes the shows in Australia and New Zealand by adding some interesting songs.

I did like last year's Visuals but a new year, new show you would think, but it is basically dusting off the previous setdesign and setlist.

And one of the best things i liked last year, - the angelic humming before TPOL started, is gone too. So we will not have that on bluray.. that is sad..

And then you have those energetic crowds in Germany and England, yet is has been decided to film in Asia, even though Asia audiences are culturally not that loud or enthusiastic in concerts - that s not bad - that is how it is - but why deciding to tape that show and broadcast it on tv and not that show in England?

Well she rehearsed FIY. If she did that + some dance moves she can recover one or two old songs like she did last year with Think Twice and Refuse To Dance. It's not that hard. We're not asking her to learn a script to play her part in a movie or the next full season of American Horror Story as a guest star. We're talking about songs of 3 minutes, most of which she knows by heart. And where she doesn't even move in most of them by the way

These Asian fans are the same fans who got a tour cancelled in 2013, with understanding of course, but still when you canceled a show and don’t return until 5 years later and since 10in total , I think you give the fans a show that they would never forget,

I'm expecting them to be consistent because they have done that in her previous tours. They can make it better like 2016-2017 summer tour. That really surprised us. They just need to be consistent.

 

But I still want to believe that the setlist will change (just add/change some songs) per country

As much as I defended the songs, I do agree it was lazy production wise... I just had a look at my past three tour programmes and there are some epic visuals there!

 

So how long was Céline on stage? I did feel a bit short changed in Glasgow when she was on for just over 80 minutes... that's less than most movies or even a football match. I paid £150 for my ticket and it took months and months of drama to get them! I feel that for the first time I may decide not to go to her next show as I can't justify the ticket price!!

I'm really surprised at all these complaints, we all knew it was the same show she sang in Las Vegas, the same setlist, which I see that Asian fans are also complaining, I do not shoot the reason of them, I still have faith that she will change everything on the next tour.

What bothers me the most is the style of the stage, lights, everything seems so cheap to Céline's superstar level, I still wait for a big show.
