It's really great seeing how happy Celine is on this tour. She seems to be enjoying herself so much and in a really good place emotionally right now. I don't think we've seen her this happy since before René got sick. I'm so proud of her!

No I don't understand it either. If I like something I'll buy it on DVD or cd. I don't watch YouTube etc much, don't have Netflix and co- of course people buy dvds! I work in Sainsbury's I know what it's like when a blockbuster is released lol. Even if they only produced a certain amount and sold them through TC - surely they wouldn't lose too much, the tour must be in profit otherwise they wouldn't be doing it lol

There weren't any plans.

 

Who buys dvds he said :/

But he will pass it forward to the people who make those decisions.

W H A T ???? Is Denis Savage crazy?!? How can he assume that? What would I give for a DVD of Celine's new concert! Her concert DVDs are important and relevant!!!! Her fans WANT something that they can look at and listen to when they need inspiration, want to escape their everyday life routine or simply enjoy Celine and her talent and her songs. Come on, how can he say "who buys DVDs?" This is insane!!! Not the way to go at all!!!!

 

Hope Celine's management reads this and takes it into consideration.

Love it! Love love love the opening violin player and the whole arrangement in general. Scott's amazing! Great seats! She's kind of calmed down a bit with the 'piano dance' she gives Scott.

I agree!!! I was sooooo shocked they didn't do Prince medley but I am SO glad they didn't. I was kind of over them to be honest lol

Actually the seat was not great. You see the stage was so wide and the block B in the middle in front of the stage, had Celine in front of them the whole time.

What my view was, was the big screen in front of me. I was on row 4 and had people in front of me that put that smartphones high up in the air, even though they are quite tall, wave around with them etcetera and blocked my view many times. Celine could not come to our part of the stage, so we had to watch the video and look at Celine from a big distance. Glad I had my photocamera with me - with 30 x zoom, which I completely needed, otherwise I could not film it like this!

Glad I can still entertain people here with the videos. All in all, not a great seat but it got my great photos and videos, that's for sure!

btw I have to say - these are great hits and people loved them, and I am sure the general audiences in Vegas will do too! The current Vegas setlist is boring, this is what she should bring! I think this tour is the ultimate setlist! Okay, I could add Ain't gonna look the other way and Then you look at me to it, but it is fun, many uptempos, Think Twice.. was amazing!

Oh my nerves... It might take me a moment to digest the no plans comment.

 

Even if they weren't going to release it on DVD/Blu Ray due to cost then do a digital HQ of the show and people can buy it iTunes or Google play etc like many suggested. Seems it's going to be an uphill battle to get something released.

 

Edit: Or film the concert in HD and release it in a deluxe version of the upcoming English album and market is as including her Summer 2017 European tour. This way you don't need a completely different packaging design for a DVD/Blu Ray.

IMO the popularity of YouTube as a video-sharing platform has definitely decreased the demand for concert CD/DVDs. Back in the 90s one would purchase a CD/DVD to see what a show is all about. Nowadays, the only thing a DVD can offer is a much better quality of a concert that we already know from YouTube. Therefore, if we assume that the target audience for such a release would be the few hard-core fans/collectors, then it makes sense why a DVD release is not part of their plans.

 

Besides, I think Celine has had way too many DVD releases anyway.

the concert in Holland was so great, would have been perfect for a concertdvd! You should have seen the orange balloons the dutch fanclub provided, which me throw in the air /waved with during the power of love. And Celine was happy to see that, there were moments of joy, some emotional ones but all in all, a memorable concert!
