I love it when she does that. And I loved it on Wednesday when she said it and everyone I could see leading up to the stage did so in a split second.

Yeah, I loved being the first up for that's the way it is on Tuesday night and then see her get everyone else up infront of me in the expensive seats lol.

Not 'lady like'? We're not living in the 1950s anymore! She is imitating Michael Jackson while covering his song. Would you say that when MJ did it that it wasn't 'man like' so he shouldn't be doing it?

A quick review after tonight's concert.

 

The M&G was quick but she was very very nice, arms around my neck, like we knew eachother for years, really sweet. Hope I get the photos soon. So far the fangirling...

 

Recorded the whole show (audio) and made some videos too. Will upload tomorrow.

 

The setlist didn't have any surprises although I was in shock she might skip Think twice (again, after not performing it during TCWT in 2008) when she started The Reason. Thank God it was just a swop. Much better in my opinion.

 

Loved the two speeches where she said she went to the recording of a 90ies Dutch TV show called Countdown that probably nobody remembered. Made me feel old haha. And also where she pointed out a guy who was asking to the guys in front of him to sit down. She was hilarious there.

Quite right. C'mon guys, she's just having some fun. It's a show, a performance. It's not like she's walking the streets and grabbing her crotch at random people.

The crowd is SO different here. No initial clap for Rene :(

 

It kind of makes me sad that everything is so scripted; literally the same for every show.

 

About the crowd - I know right. That's what I was thinking.

 

About the scripted-ness - I knew this would be the case so I didn't want to watch any of the videos from the other nights to mine at first for this reason, as I thought it would ruin the magic. But I get why they do it this way, and she does do some unscripted things at least.

i'm not surprised loved me back to life is gone as she had said that she had trouble singing that song before live back in 2013. i was surprised it actually made the setlist.

My problem with her performance here is not the crotch-grabbing per se. It's the crotch-grabbing, the fan, the MJ moves as a package. I don't want an impersonation. That kind of thing belongs in Veronic's set. If she's going to do it, I want her to do her own interpretation. Not a wanna-be MJ imitation. I want her to do it as Celine.

The current approach just completely cheapens the performance. She doesn't need to resort to this kind of stuff.

Ohh haha, cool. I couldn't hear this bit very well and I could only think that she was talking about the millennium countdown show in Montreal hahaha, so I was very confused 😂

The new placement for TT and TR is working. She needs a well rested voice to belt TR before the need to belt TT. TR requires much energy than TT. And i am so glad they figured that out.... and now Celine can belt TR for better without being cracked like previously. They dismissed LMBTL and I am okay with it. The song didnt live for concert. And because she lower the key, the song sounded flat and boring.

 

But the fact that Celine still sounded so good and powerful for TR, i wonder how it would sound if she does TPOL and IACBTMN full live.

Alright...

The show was on!!!!!!

She was on fire :wub:

 

Security wanted us to sit down.

She told security it took her 20 minutes to get us all up and dance.

Then she sang very lazy a bit of IDAN, altering the text haha

 

 

Reaction of the crowd was awesome, didn't expected that.

 

IMO the "middle" part with the ballads is a bit to long.

 

I LOVED TCOML :wub: that was pure magic, first time ever that I really cried at her show. Soo sooo beautiful.

 

The people who think the reaction to RTD is boring should be there.

It's not a song to go wild at, her voice is golden just sit, watch, listen :wub:

 

And for the complainers that she should drop LCMM/RDMH.

She shouldn't. When you read the setlist you want them to replace them for new songs.

When your in the audience, the crowd goes crazy. The only 2 songs where everybody goes really crazy.

My friend just got home from the concert(5 hour train ride) she Loved it but the one thing she didn't like was the Security. It wasn't handled well

I'm hungry, too. lol No what's funny is, I didn't even notice/remember that LMBTL didn't happen for but a second tonight. I miss it as there are NO songs off that album represented. So we now have two abums with no songs being performed, in English at last. I do agree it was too low, and if it was too hard on her voice, then it should be cut. I would like to see a song off that album done, maybe Somebody loves Somebody or Save Your Soul would be up tempo fast songs that could stand alone. Or if she wanted to go for the sentimental, emotional moment, Thank You would be amazing tribute to the fans. :)

BIG mistake they're doing with RTD if only is that most people thinks this is an interlude. WRONG!!! See how they stand up from their seats, this happened in London too.

 

I went to the concert in Arnhem and I noticed that a lot of people stood up (to get a drink)

Just arrived from the concert in Arnhem and I have to say that I'm taking back every critical word I said before about this tour. The show was breathtaking! You have to see it live, best live show ever (the live effects and her songs, voice and energy were amazing). Nothing can replace the magic of a Celine live show! And Veronic was amazing and so funny! I became a big fan!
