Little to do with her team. Everything to do with what she's allowed to do under the terms of her Sony contract.

A contract is a contract, and hers likely executed some years ago. And yes, absolutely, many major label contracts limit their artists from doing stuff like this.

It looks more intimate, not smaller. Celine wanted the audience to get as close as possible to her and that's what Caesars did, removing the first rows near the stage and creating a mosh pit for the fans that want to come close to her and dance. A contract is a contract, and hers likely executed some years ago. And yes, absolutely, many major label contracts limit their artists from doing stuff like this.

Technically it's not that she can't from what we've seen she clearly films almost everything as we've seen on her Instagram and on Access ilimite during the 2016 tour. The problem is it seems her team feels there is no interest from what I remember them saying. Kinda funny considering they taped the 2017 tour with signs all over the place to do what with it? Shelve it...i hope despite it not being a popular choice I hope her team ATLEAST brings out the Vegas dvd. Otherwise why bother recording for 4 nights! Celine was never limited in doing documentaries from what I recall but it seems after Rene's death and after Aldo left all that changed. Again I am basing this from what I know only I may have missed some things so I apologize in advance.

Are there any traces of Celine left there? Did they turn her dressing room into an office? Did they wipe out any traces of her and Rene?

I mean, nobody else will come anywhere close to her tenure there - these new "residencies" aren't really residencies at all, just extended concert stays... She deserves to be commemorated by Caesars, somehow.

Can anyone who stayed at Caesars in the last year let me know if they charge a deposit to your stay per night or per stay for damages as well as a resort fee?

We prepaid our room and it was kind of reasonable. I do not recall what the deposit amount was, but the standard amount is 100.00 which is just a credit card hold

 

The do charge a very high resort fee at checkout. It’s like 50.00 per night

Posted a little blurb about the impact of the current tour in the tour thread, but worth also noting that Billboard now also has an entire section devoted to the Vegas music market, with features like Pro Tips for Negotiating a Las Vegas Residency and the like.

 

This was most definitely not a thing pre-Celine. Her impact is undeniable. (And Rene's, because let's be honest, it was his vision when everyone thought it's bonkers, and I don't think he gets enough recognition for that.)

 

Celine might not go down in history for her MOR repertoire, but she will most definitely be remembered as one of the greatest live performers of her generation.

I only hope this current massive tour doesn't burn her out and she continues to perform for many years to come.

What do you mean by MOR?

 

Thinking about burning out, I really don’t think she will. Yes, she will be exhausted I’m sure once this tour is over, and I hope she takes a few years to herself to think and regroup, and to get a little REST! She’s been going going going for years! I don’t really count the 2015 hiatus a break, because in her own right, she was working, even if it wasn’t on stage. She needs time to, as she says pick her own tomatoes. Having recently seen her, I 100% agree with the sentiment that performing is her therapy, her way of grievances. She was sad during some songs, but I like to think this may be her way of going through the process, admitting things she doesn’t want to, but just onstage, surrounded by loving and adoring fans. She really is such a trooper, and I don’t know anyone else who’s been hit with as much as she has lately, and would, and is, still powering though. She’s a class of her own, and that’s another huge reason to love her! (And there’s a plethora more where that came from too!)
