Can't believe that in all the times she did 'Ashes' in Vegas... no one has told her where to stand during the first part of the song.

Watching Scorsese's "Rolling Thunder Revue" about Dylan on Netflix and man, how I wish we'd get a proper doc like this about Celine's Vegas era.

 

The releases to date - A New Day or Through the Eyes of the World were fine, but they came off too much like they were made by Celine's PR team (which, of course, they were).

 

I'd love some proper director to take a critical look at all that footage, and edit it into a real doc. Concert DVDs are fine - but I have comparatively little interest in that, especially now that so much of her recent Vegas performances are on YouTube. But I'd love someone to splice together a documentary of all the behind-the-scenes material and excerpts of performances from various stages of this Vegas journey.

Far more interesting than just releasing a straight recording of a single concert, especially if they were going to go with this last set list.

I really miss her movements when performing. It’s so good in camera. Those graceful/classy movements and her posture :)

Even her speaking voice sounds different back then. It's a little lighter and slightly less accent.

Finally got to see the entire final show. Like many of you, I expected the final bow to be sadder, but it was clear that Celine's ready for a break from Las Vegas, and it was a celebration to mark a new chapter in her life. I will say, I got chills at the final picture of Celine & Rene while she sang the ending of "Over the Rainbow". As she walked off stage with everyone, and the picture faded to black, it's clear that their legacy will remain in the Colosseum forever. It was a perfect ending. If/When Celine returns to Vegas, it'll be strange seeing her at a different hotel, with LiveNation handling shows at the Colosseum, when Celine is with AEG. I will always see the Colosseum as Celine's Theatre.

I can't imagine Celine going to another theatre in Vegas. She has become synonymous with the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Who knows how things will change over the next couple of years in Vegas as she embarks on her Courage World Tour. We shall see what her future holds!

Yeah...if she keeps her deal with AEG and Caesars with Livenation, there's no way she'll return to the Colosseum.

But if either change their contract, she can :)
