I don’t know about you, but to me this final show was done pretty quickly without any emotional and sad moments. Like „thank you, next“ :D usually Celine is emotional about pretty much everything. This time was different

Well there's certainly some bad blood between Caesar's and AEG, judging by the comments from John Megen.

There's an interview with Celine just as she steps offstage after the last performance -- and she talks about how it was very important for her to prove to herself that she wouldn't cry. But you can tell she's still emotional.

 

I can't find the interview but maybe someone else can?

 

But I do think she's more than ready for the next chapter!

Actually she said she tried hard not to get too emotional to show to herself that she has the strength to do this.

But no emotional moments? Didn't you see the images with Rene during SOTR and her kids joining her on stage. And she touched her nose just like she used to do with Rene. Do you need to Celine in tears to see the emotional side? :o

i don't know why there's people already speculate about new Vegas show at other venue / casino??? it's way too early, and if they do we will see later it's just too early

and i don't see why Celine wouldn't want to perform in the Colosseum as Feelings inc own part of it so yeah

I actually witnessed this first hand! I about fell over when I realized what it was. My cousin was staying at Caesar's and we saw, from her room, what we thought was a wedding reception (fancy dancers ball-room dancing around) and then I noticed in the pool a float of flowers with "Celine" written out in the middle. They were on the balcony of Mr. Chow watching!! Then the fireworks went off and we got an up close view. So amazing and completely unexpected!!

Me, too. And I didn’t film either. In the video you shared you can actually see my room. I was staying at Caesar’s and the room was directly across from the balcony at Mr Chow. Later, I went downstairs and saw Celine come out of Mr Chow, People were there waiting for her and security kept her surrounded, but she (and everyone else waiting) walked from there back to the entrance of the Colosseum. At one point the people burst out singing FOMO and she joined in briefly as we walked near the Numb bar.

AEG Presents/Concerts West Co-CEO John Meglen said he is “not happy” with Caesars Entertainment’s decision to close its exclusive booking contract with his company. Since the Colosseum opened in 2003, AEG has served as the venue’s exclusive promoter and booking partner, but Caesars has a new deal with Live Nation that takes effect just as the Colosseum closes for renovations in July.

“It wasn’t necessarily that we didn’t decide,” Meglen said. “One, there was some miscommunication between our organization being involved in the arena (T-Mobile), and that had something to do with us operating the Colosseum. Lol the article also states something about George Wallace opening for her, unbilled, a few times over the years when she's running late well in all the years I have been going I've never seen him, or anyone ever "open" for her...... and she runs late a lot! :sofunny: However just because I never saw him doesn't mean it didn't happen. :giggle:

It's interesting to me how Celine can still sound so crystal clear and stunning -- as she does on Over The Rainbow. Yet, she can sound a bit nasal on other songs like Vegas performances of Beauty and the Beast. I've heard before that she goes nasal sometimes as a choice in order to preserve her voice -- however, she sometimes even "chooses" to sound more nasal in the recording studio when we can clearly see that she's capable of sounding so beautiful... So I wonder if it's a stylistic choice she makes? I personally ALWAYS prefer her to sing in that stunning tone apparent here:

By the way, her rendition of OTR is so stunning that I would be perfectly happy if it's the album closer for Courage. Unlike pretty much anyone else on the planet, CELINE DION can get away with it. :)

Yes... I'm really in love with her mid-range. She sounds so pure and full during OTR. She can do an intimate show and sing these kind of beautiful songs with just a guitar/piano accompanying here and I would glady pay $$$$ for it.
