Celine (Las Vegas show) [ends: June 8th, 2019] - Official topic

Hi all! A friend of mine pointed me here. :) I'm the one who wrote For Keeps.

 

I can't say what meet and greets are like now because it's been several years, but back when I was working with her, they were normally fast. It did depend on the night and on the reason for the M&G, though... when they had a Make a Wish person or similar organization, she would of course spend extra time.

 

I was actually not expecting her to meet my family... I brought them to the show, but was surprised when they were invited to come say hello before it started. They were so thrilled, and she was very gracious and apologized for running late... even though we were the ones who were "intruding." ;)

 

All of my interviews with her were after the shows, when she and I could just hang out and relax until the middle of the night. I miss those days so much! We were the last people out of the place a couple of times.

Ok first off I need to ask something to those of you who have met Celine.... and please before I ask this do not jump to conclusions and say I am ungrateful because I am not one bit. Is her meet and greet always that fast?! I mean I had read online stories of other Celine meet and greets and they were able to squeeze in a little word with us I didn't even have time to breathe to tell her thank you for what she's done for me with her strength and music. Honestly even her brother was shocked because before she came in he told me to take my time and try and chat with her but it was no joke hi how are you, picture, bye, bam done. Even if I wanted to say one word I couldn't. I still wanna believe she was just super late. When I checked my phone it was 7:25 and still no Celine and the show started at 7:51 and yet even with all that it still finished on time. I knew it would be fast but that fast it was just weird to me especially after everything her brother had told me beforehand. I had only ever been to one other meet and greet before this and that was Kelly Clarkson and for that one I was last and for this one i was first so I dunno if even that factored in. Again like I said I am NOT one bit ungrateful I was always cherish those 30 seconds but I was just curious.

 

I am now home in Vancouver and just waiting for my photo. The lady on the phone told me 24-48 hours while the one that was with us downstairs said a "few day" so I dunno. Praying it's soon cause I'm dying to see it. In my the meantime I need to go through my pics and vids and then I'll post them on here.

Mine was pretty similar to yours. Celine was running late.

She first off apologised several times for running late and I'm like thinking

I've waited all my life for this , a few minutes more didn't kill me lol

I didn't get to say much ...mostly because my brain turned to jello. But she listened to whatever I did manage to get out. Think she could sense my nerves and kept my hand held from the moment she walked in the room.

Then said let's take a photo.

I got to give her a gift I had got her and it was over.

I would say it was about 2 Minutes.

It felt like time went so fast but yet slow all at the same time though. I can't explain it.

But for something that was only a few minutes , they will be one of the most beautiful memories of my life :wub:

I truly hope it's something more of you on here get to experience at some point.

 

Oh and on the photo i got mine on Tuesday after the meet & greet on a Saturday so hopefully you will get yours by tomorrow.

Wow loved your story I definitely think you got more time then me. She actually didn't apologize to anyone for running late not that it bothered me. Before she arrived they got me up and told me to stand by the X she walked in she shook my hand and knew my name and then greeted my mom. Then we took our photos and that was it she said a quick bye and take care and it was over it was prob something like 30-40 secs. It was so quick that until I saw another persons photo online I couldn't even remember what she was wearing that and the girl right after us had reached the elevator at the same time we did! Again as I said earlier I'm not at all complaining or blaming Celine I totally understand I just wanted to know what other people's experiences were like. Btw thank you for telling me when you received your photo fingers crossed mine comes tomorrow too cause I can't wait to see it.

haha ok so good to know it wasn't just me! All I remembered was it was black that's funny we both only remembered the colour. I'm still afraid to see how I actually ended up posing in the photo cause I don't remember all I know is she held my hand

I want to thank you all of you that share these amazing moments with Celine. I love the respect you have for each other between Celine's fan. Thank you a lot. You are a big part of my passion for Celine. Thank you so much, those stories about M&G with Celine are so nice and so cool to read. I'm so glad for you guys. Thanks again...

In MHWGO, maybe they should add again the bass effect (remember a new day? cinematic bass booooooooooooooooom then the moon appears) after the medley while it's blackout? then instead of humming ala a new day era the violin part again?

I don't know why I'm about to say this because I now know from my own experience how hard it is but anyways....to anyone who is going to Vegas or ends up getting a meet and greet try and succeed where I failed miserably. Ask about a dvd whether it be Celine herself or her brother or if you see him even Aldo himself.

I think nobody can call you selfish or stupid here because you didn't have the time to ask Celine about a DVD. I forgive you as a french fan who do not have the time and the money to go to vegas to see Celine. I'm living a little part of the Celine's m&g's experience thanks to you.

Guys I just got my meet and greet photo!!! Oh forgot to mention when she was doing SMGO she looked at me right as she started to sing "I'm slowly turning" and I did this turning motion with my hand and she winked and started to do her little twirl I thought that was awesome
