Such a positive outlook as always.

A New Day was amazing and extremely creative in case some people forget. Céline surprised the music industry and this has contributed to the current legend status that she has more than earned. Sure she could have sung more of her own songs as we have talked over the years but it's now coming to an end.

Time to rejoice after such an incredible success!! Not many artists could have filled that theatre for so long.

Bravo Céline. Some people do recognize the hard work and now it's time for something new! Another New Day Has Come! :-D

I have to agree to an extent. She could have kept the classics always in the show but they could have changed up the setlist a bit at the start of each year.

She's got so many great songs.

 

But saying she's stupid or anything of the like is an exaggeration and uncalled for.

Actually the last couple of years the Vegas audience is more fan oriented and awake.During "a new day" it was boring as hell.

Her funny speeches must have played. She was literally a robot during the first show.

And how do you build a hit, other than presenting the song to the audience and singing a song for the first time to the public???

 

There’s always a first time for a song, a first performance, and then the ball gets rolling. What’s sure is that a good song won’t have a chance to never become a “hit” if the artist herself denies it the chance to be performed at least once to ser the reaction of the public ;)

She will surely won't add more hits to her career if she keeps denying a place to her new songs when she has a new album out and keeps performing to boredom MHWGO, BYLM and a myriad of random covers pulled out of her her sleeve that nobody asked her to perform not she's known to perform them.

 

And that's exactly and precisely what's happened in the last 15 years: one album after the other systematically ignored in Vegas since 2003, and ANDHC being her last international hit :innocent:

Now she should record a song on Las Vegas.

I have been very spoiled following her since Unison and this end of Vegas has hit me like a ton of bricks. I don’t want it to end but.......

Definitely strange and scary for her to end Vegas. It’s been a sort of security blanket for a lot of us fans just as it’s been for Celine.

 

But it will be great for her career and her personally and it’ll be great for US ALL to turn the page and start a new chapter. :)

 

She will have so much more time to do amazing things with that amazing voice.

I just realized that before they were very strict on recording the show using phones... but now, we’re free! Haha too bad we can’t see the visuals back in 2011-2014 there are beautiful visuals for a song like The Reason, James Bond Medley, ect. Because they were very strict before Edited by jpatdeleon09

I've got another theory: She didn't want to put too much effort into the show out of personal reasons, as she emphasizes in every interview that being a mom is her no. 1 priority. Every new attachment to the show would have meant additional rehearsals with a whole orchestra, background singers, lightening ... It's surely not that easy changing setlists. And imagine she would have changed the setlist very often, putting rare songs to it out of her repertoire ... a pure pain to all the fans flying over, seeing her show, and three weeks later she would perform a personal rare fave song ... wow, I would freak out, if it would have happened to me.

She should do it like Kelly Claskson, leave a spot in the setlist for one song and then let the fans decide online which song they want to hear and reherse a simple version of it on the day of the concert. Yes, it requires some work and input, but people are flying from all over the world and pay crazy money just to see her show, so I think that one extra song is really not much of a deal. She cannot give the fans the same setlist for 4 years straight, sorry, but that’s lazy. Or at least spice the show up a bit in a different way. Edited by ryba

If the setlist isn’t different when she returns, it will be pretty clear she’ll never perform “Breakaway,” “Didn’t Know Love,” “Misled,” and “If You Asked Me To” as part of “Celine” as was rumored in the past.

For Breakaway and Didn't Know Love I think it was Scott who told us in Antwerpen that she rehearsed it.

Not sure anymore :)

if i remember it right only the orchestra / musician rehearsed it not Celine though...

Vegas tickets usually only sell out at the last minute. Many people only decide in the spur of the moment, I don't think that's ever been different?

When Cher was in the DMV area this year I wanted to go but was unsure so I checked tickets 2 days before the show and there was a lot of seats, almost half of them, then I checked the day of and all seats were sold.

 

I figure the same happens with Celine. I remember doing the same during her June shows and the day before a show there were still plenty of tickets but on the day they all went quickly.

one more thing, I have a feeling they must be rehearsing , now, cause you don't hear a peep for any of her band on social media, I know a lot of us fans follow them,
