Now if only she cant get rid of that dress for IS , its getting Boring now, but other then that , I love her outfits ,

 

I think I’m the only one who still loves that dress!

 

Not a huge fan of the new beige one tho...

Trying to upload "Ashes" now but YouTube is being difficult. Before the song, she talked for around 10 min telling the story of MHWGO and how she didn't want to record it and how they used the demo vocal for the final version and she never re-recorded it.

 

She also talked a bit about how she loves her corded mic! She used the corded mic from the beginning of the show but then switched for Paganini and Quand ça balance. They brought her the corded one back and she was like "I love my cord. I can hold onto it! I started my career with the cord."

Last year during an interview for the 20th anniversary of the movie, Walter Afanasieff reminded Celine that this story was all wrong, despite it's repeated over and over, and that the demo story is true only for the movie version. He told her she recorded the song in New York for the album version and Celine went "Oh yeah I remember now".

Obviously she has forgotten again !

The vocals of MHWGO for the movie version and the album version are the same. Walter only edits (vocals) this part “... and oooooooooooooooooon” that’s it. And the change of instrumentals Edited by jpatdeleon09

I agree that opening dress, comes alive when you see it sparkle live. That beige on the other hand is not very nice, preferred the yellow and green one she used in the past during that segment. Wish she'd bring back the James Bond black tho... Also not a fan of the MHWGO dress, preferred the blue one more.

I don't think I ever bothered to look at the screens at either of my shows last week. I have no idea if they were on or not. :unsure:

 

I know they are still on. I've been keeping track lately and they are on for everything except Recovering and Ashes and maybe IS I'm still unsure about that one. Hoping maybe Tim noticed during his two shows otherwise I'm putting it out there for anyone going next week to have a look cause I'm dying to know.

When I was at the show last time, i had seats up close, so i never really noticed the side screens because i would literally have to look away from the stage and turn my head backwards to look at it.

Just hoping she adds TT back post tour. Or something else. If a new acoustic medley is done on tour, i hope she adds that to Vegas

Yeah definitely. Would be a bit disappointing if she did an acoustic set but it’s the one she’s already doing lol

I wish she’d add some colour in the show with her dresses. It’s all so beige. I love the opening dress but that’s it. All the others should go imo. The MHWGO dress looks too stiff and the cape is bizarre.

I think the opening dress would look amazing in another color, like a pinkish purple or an emerald green or something.

 

I think Celine looks amazing in Emerald green, eggplant purple, orange and also in white! :wub: Celine looks good in every color, but I would love to see her in eggplant purple again though. It looks amazing on her and she hardly ever wears that color. I thought it looked great on her during the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade when she sung Don't Save It All For Christmas Day.

Honestly, I personally hate the screens. The Colosseum is such a small venue - it’s a 4K capacity, not 20k Madison Square Garden - and they really serve no purpose and look very out of place. Any time

I would look over and see them on, they just seemed way too big.

They should do close ups on the main screen more throughout the show tho. Like they did with PQTME during A New Day.

Something tells me it would take Céline more than 1 min 30 seconds to get into that iceberg dress lol, the show would need an intermission! Lol

For sure, it would take time to get into that dress. But since she talks for over 10 min at one point she can cut that speech down to 5 min and that would give her an extra 5 minutes :giggle: Edited by Xpresso

I have to slightly disagree. When you are in the balconies they are fantastic for seeing her expressions. :)

Thanks! I do get what you mean because I've sat in the front orchestras every single time I've gone and I've barely ever looked at the screens except last time cause we were right beside it but it didn't work except during the medley. But I remember the time I had to cancel (due my still somewhat unexplained infection) I had tickets for the upper levels and at the time I was unhappy about it wishing that the screens worked. So for those higher up I think the screens are beneficial. Plus I may be a bit biased I've always been a huge sucker for the screens even when I was young lol always felt like I was watching it on dvd. Maybe I'm just bizarre. :laugh:

Ok this is my case in point about the side screens. I filmed that all from the side screens. I was seated in RORCH, decent seats but there is no way I could have gotten her expressions without them. OMG she was so funny Saturday! :laugh:

And by the way, i really love how she sings ANDHC now! Beautiful! Wish it would be perform in full, not being a part of a medley, and not done acoustically!

I have a feeling someone told her to pay more attention to her pronounciation and articulation, because in the last show you can hear sing/speak each word properly, opposed to before. Haven't listened to every song, but I noticed it in Ashes, and the acoustic and Prince medley's..
