I am going on November 10th, ended up going with Front Orch 5 row HH. I wanted to be a little closer but this is on the aisle so hopefully I can get up close for the mosh pit??? Fingers crossed. Will anyone else be there that weekend?

I live in South Florida. I’m a beach and country girl. There is nothing Vegas can offer me except Celine. And if she cancels then I’m out an expensive flight because it’s 2500 miles and hotels. So, I’m going to just plan one day in Vegas and make a big west coast week long vacation out of it. So I’m not disappointed in the small chance she cancels. I know she doesn’t cancel that many shows but she’s only human.

The voice itself is tired and weak, she really needs to train it as she did in the 90´s, it does not sound healthy as it was last summer where it was flexible. I don’t criticize her, it’s not against her, it’s just if you compare the record and the live, there is a huge gap in my opinion. And musically it does not sound good. It’s not against her... please, I mean she earns each night in Vegas 500 000 $ !!!!!! Audience deserves a singer who take care a little bit more of her voice as she did in the past, like she said in 1998 on French Television, if you love to sing, if singing is your life, so you have to do it good ! And sorry but after a break of 4 months, she does not sound good at all ! And people pay for this. So when you are singer, and when people pay more than 200$ to see you and hear you live...and when the show is more than 30% of playback, it’s a lack of respect for people who pay 200$

 

I have no problem admitting that Céline can go off key, be flat, and experience some vocal cord problem and so on. And this is the case right now. But the argument about money and laziness is pure stupidity and aberration.

Whatever you may think of Vegas, too much cover, lack of artistic investment… this woman is not lazy, and especially not VOCALLY lazy. This is just unbearable to read such comments.

 

Whatever you may think about her sounding off key, having vocal cord issues…she is just doing her best right now, and this has nothing to do with laziness or lack of training. She never stopped training indeed, or exercise every day, and she never stopped having a vocal coach all her life except for some period or sabbatical. She has surrounded herself till now with the best ENT specialist and last technology to improve her environment and not affect her vocal cords. She is not Mariah Carrey, she is not smoking pot on a couch or I don’t know what. And she did not stop all her discipline after her pregnancies. Her speech changed, yes, she enjoys saying everywhere that her voice is not the priority, she now has something more…. This is what she likes to say, and this is true, but she comes from such an ecstatic hard vocal work that believe me she is still working on her instrument quite a lot and she never stopped training when in activity.

 

So, you may not like what you hear, just like me, but this is actually the best she can do and she is THE FIRST ONE suffering from those troubles she’s going through. Nothing to do with laziness or disrespect.

She already talked a lot about her instrument, her feeling toward it and how much she is never happy. Not so long ago when performing Show must go on on Fallon, she wasn’t happy with her voice and was feeling bad. Trust me that right now, the girl is not happy with what she can deliver,

 

Finally, everyone is speaking about vocal cords here. But I would say that the ear, to make a good vocalist is maybe even more important or at least 50/50. And Dion has a serious ear problem actually that can enable her to sing and somehow to have a totally normal life. Not wanting to be dramatic but this is what patulous Eustachian is. Fact. It means that potentially she is not able anymore to carry out her business, and just simply sing. Don’t know if people are realizing that, and the pressure she has on her shoulders right now. So just stop speaking about f****** laziness and disrespect.

 

I don’t know what to think really. We know that this surgery doesn’t always work. She came back. Till the last minute or so, no promotion, no words about her coming back or not, while, and this is normal, still lots of seats to be sold. Still, no official press release about her health and the surgery. It never happened. And on top of that: the actual problem is not so much her vocal cords which are weak it’s true and this is more or less normal. The problem is that she is still always touching her ear monitors and she is flat, off key. This is 2 different things. It never happened before except very few times the past 1.5 year when this Eustachian problem begun. The main problem seems to come from the ear again. So forget the vocal cord for once, without this ear problem 100% settled, Dion won’t be able to come back or to sing properly.

Sorry but the situation is really worrying about her ear. I want to be wrong but it looks evident that she is taking all the pressure and shouldn’t be here as nothing is 100% solved. This is what I feel when I hear and see her since she came back. Really hope I’m wrong.

My point is about the ear, not the vocal chords, I never been worried that much about them. Céline has a lot of up and down now vocally but I still feel that she is in charge and is also able to adjust herself thanks to her amazing technic versatility. I even honestly think that her last tour is her most vocally impressive vocal tour she ever did in term of live interpretation. And it came right after a vocally difficult period.

It was a bit hit and miss last night....she wasn’t quite “there” during this song... she flubbed the lyrics in the beginning but nailed the chorusus vocally. But still, she’s doind the best she can atm!

When Celine returned it was hear that she was not in top shape for example Think Twice and those high notes on RIVER DEEP. When Celine in good shape, she doesn't sing like that !!! Remember Phoenix 2008 when she lost her voice before the concert! There was a video from that show with such high notes on this song as none on the Taking Chances tour.

I don't know, I'm just factually considering their silent (from Celine to AEG and Caesar after all the cancellation) as well as Céline's condition right know indicating that the problem still seem to come from the ear. But once again, I absolutly don't know.
