You're assuming that once she's out of the Vegas contract she'll be back on year-long global tours. That, I believe, is highly unlikely. Don't think she has any interest in spending her life on planes and in hotels like she use to before she was a single mom.

Totally agree.

I can't imagine what it will be like being a Celine fan when she's out of Vegas.

She's been doing Vegas for the majority of the time I've been a fan (since 2002) - so I've only ever really known Vegas + everything else.

Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?

That fall on the stairs is a bit crazy... Can't they just stop the flashing lights on those steps when she's about to go up?

When you are singing you don't want to start that stupid step game!! :-D

I think she needs another hiatus to take time to properly grieve. I think part of what is causing her illness is her being stresse She needs to take time to be Celine Angelil the mother etc not Celine Dion the artist That message broke my heart and all my love is with her
"When you want it the most there's no easy way out, when you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt, don't give up on your faith, love comes to those who believe it, and thats the way it is." Celine Dion

Wasn't it said after the Taking Chances World tour that they wouldn't embark on any more mega world tours but instead concentrate on smaller tours specific to an area. I personally think the mini tours are the way to go.

Hahahah I know we all want that dvd, including me.

I've recorded a lot of songs during her tours and everytime I saw them in full quality on my tv I thought damn I should have recorded the whole show, or the screens.

But when you are at the show, it's really the last thing you want to do haha.

We should hire someone who doesn't care about her so he is fine with recording screens all night :P

Sorry for quoting you again but I've been thinking about what you said for a while. Had I not just gone to the show I would have prob gone sometime this year and done it myself for the board. I do know for sure I am going to go for the final year. But what I was thinking if there's anyone here who is good with keeping the camera steady and is going to a couple of shows back to back maybe they could choose one show and for that one show record the whole thing from the screens like Tyler did for us in the summer.

Yes, that was said, but I really think it was because of Rene. I'm not saying Celine can't decide for herself, but she was highgly influenced on what Rene said or thought it was better to do. And being Rene almost 70 when TCWT ended, must've been the reason at that time for saying that. He wasn't ill at that time, but he was not 20 anymore, and maybe Celine wanted to slow down things in her career for that reason too (not only the touring part). But now that he's gone, maybe she doesn't think that way anymore.

It's just a thought, but I've been thinking about it quite a lot, and I think Rene's age was the reason for slowing things down a little. It's just an opinion, not trying to offend anybody.

Did the media always give this much coverage to her cancellations, or is this new? Surprised to see a lot of ink about it (these are just a few)

I think the media usually does report her cancellations in Canada - mainly if it's more than one or two shows...

I think it’s more because of her statement than just that then shows were canceled.

I really don't think not doing a world tour again was just to do with Rene. Just think what it must physically take out of her. Mini tours are the way to go and she's doing them very well.

I think that working over the last couple of years it what has kept her going though, well that and the kids. I think if she had stopped and not had something to do and that distraction she could have just gone under completely. I would also imagine that her career is something that still makes her feel close to him in some way and she has certainly been using singing as a way of expressing herself.

You also need to be in a good seat where you can capture the full screens. If you are in the front orchestra, it's nearly impossible based on where the screens are... I'm going to the show this Friday and Saturday and know for a fact that the screens will basically be behind me for both shows.

I totally get what you mean. When I went in 2016 I could barely see the side screens but last year the screen on the left was right next to me all I did was tilt my body a bit and I had the perfect view. Sadly then they didn't have the show going on the screens except during the medley. Hopefully our members keep what I said in the back of their minds and eventually a good opportunity will arise where we can get good footage.

Completely agree. If Celine was to ever do a world tour again not only will it be quite a while after Vegas but it will also be at an age where Celine feels comfortable with the twins beginning to outgrow their childhood years. In my complete honesty I cant see her doing anything like a world tour until at least after 2021, and that would probably be a vegas style tour, do concerts in an area over 2 months then take a month off. I mean her FIY tour 1996-1997 was during her prime and she was still exhausted by the end of it, like February 1997 yes she was vocally good but she looked completely exhausted and wasnt even enjoyable anymore. I think for Celine we need to take into consideration shes a single mother, soon to be 50, a music veteran with nothing to prove and most importantly, HUMAN. People think post vegas she will go on a massive 500 date tour to make up for “lost time” as to some fans belief *cough*V_a;:-J-1””t(0). *Cough*

calm down, leaving vegas doesn't mean 300 concerts per year, i never meant that

leaving vegas means new projects

like writing an album

do a tv show

a movie

May I ask where you will be sitting?

I have 3 shows in March and I think I'll for sure not be able to see the screen. Then again I won't be far from the stage, but still nice to be able to look at the screen from time to time.

I know this isn't directed at me but for anyone curious I was at Section FRONT ORCHESTRA 6, Row PP, Seat 601-603 and was able to see the left screen perfectly

I'll still be too close I think. But not close enough to the stage. I'm in FORCH 6 row EE (next to the stage), then FORCH 3 row EE and CC so I'm in a bad angle from the screen I think.

Did you like being in FORCH 6? A friend told me I'll be sitting directly when Céline sings POL. But I have no clue

in 2016 I was closer to her but still in FORCH 6 and it was amazing. The first time I went though in 2011 I was in FROCH 5. I was shocked at how much closer I was in FROCH 6 then 5. When I looked at the map when I bought the tickets I didn't think that would be the case but I was! Yes I think you will be really near Celine especially during BYLM from what I remember. This time because I was in sec PP I was further away but last time I was in GG and was much much closer to her.

Worldtours are not needed when she spreads them.into mini tours. I think 2019 southern america is the next to go to

OH right lol BYLM not POL hahaha. Yeah I'm sitting directly by the stage. Hoping I have the courage to stand up to shake her hands but I doubt I will haha (too shy)

Thank you for the information !! I can't wait :w00t:

Oh you will LOVE FORCH 6, EE! One of my favorite spots. You can pretty much touch the stage from your seat. Lol

I’m the exact same way though...far too shy to stand up during BYLM for a handshake, selfie, etc. I waved once and she waved right back, but I can’t bring myself to doing more. Can’t stand that about myself sometimes. One of these days I need to go to the show with someone really outgoing who might bring out another side of me. Haha
