Popular Post scielle Posted January 13, 2018 at 10:39 PM Popular Post Posted January 13, 2018 at 10:39 PM Lainey has weighed in on Barb, too - http://www.laineygossip.com/celine-dion-handles-drunk-fan-who-jumps-on-stage-with-kindness-and-professionalism/48890?celebrityId=20285 "[...]Not only did Celine not seem to mind, she handled the woman so gently and so compassionately that the audience took her lead but, just to be sure, she asks them afterwards to understand what the woman might have been going through. And then thanks the crowd for allowing her to give the woman that moment. It’s thoughtfulness from every angle – which is particularly remarkable because, as we’ve seen, celebrities are often not that thoughtful. They’ve been conditioned to not have to think about others because they think about themselves so much. How many other entertainers at Celine’s level would have reacted the way Celine did? And, look, I wouldn’t blame them if they’d run for cover because, f-ck, I would have too. Besides, celebrities are even more accustomed to looking after themselves first (see Justin Timberlake). Not Celine. Celine looked after the woman, she looked after the audience, and she looked after the security. Like she even remembers at the end to acknowledge that the bodyguards did their jobs. This is full service consideration from a full service superstar." 12 Quote

scielle Posted January 13, 2018 at 11:33 PM Posted January 13, 2018 at 11:33 PM Adele wrote Queen Celine. She simply is the Queen Celine! How long as this been around... i think not too long after René died, we, the media, and celebrities have started to call her Queen Celine. Yep! Certainly hasn't gone unnoticed. What I think is significant about this is not so much that Adele was there, but that she was public about it. She's generally quite a private person, and while I really quite like her, I always felt she was very much "in the closet" about her Celine fandom, probably worried it would taint her "cool" status. For such a long time, Celine was thought of as a "guilty pleasure". Well, no more! Add another to the long list of people recently coming out of the woodwork as Celine fans. 7 Quote

Nmj Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:01 AM Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:01 AM I wonder if the only reason she performed last night was because Adele was there? Yeah that's what I think, that she pushed through because she knew Adele was going to be there. Not only did she go on yesterday but she killed it! I also think it was trying to impress Adele. Even the songs that are usually play around songs during the pit LCMM/RDMH Celine was singing them very focused she was sticking to the lyrics and hitting the notes, I noticed. She sounded amazing last night, no sign of a cold or anything based on her voice. 3 Quote

Peppercorn1991 Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:06 AM Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:06 AM Kinda weird because she sounded great last night.... This last week has been very odd tbh with the press conferences, announcing tour dates, Brenda and cancelling shows... Kev x 1 Quote
Popular Post Peppercorn1991 Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:26 AM Popular Post Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:26 AM I think Celine just posted the most personal message I have ever read on her FB account: I don’t know what to say, other than I’m truly sorry for having to cancel tonight’s show and the two shows from last week. Cancelling a show is the hardest thing I have to do, especially when I know that so many people have travelled far to see me in Las Vegas. This decision is not made lightly. When I’m not well, I always try to push through and I do everything I can to do my show. I really struggled to finish last night’s show and it took everything out of me. My doctor advised that I absolutely cannot perform tonight. I know that I’m disappointing you, the people who support me the most and it hurts me beyond words. I hope that you can forgive me. Céline xx… Kev x 10 Quote
angelil78 Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:29 AM Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:29 AM I just saw and omg, she must be feeling so bad right now I feel so sorry for her (and the ticket holders) 2 Quote
celine4evauk Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:32 AM Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:32 AM Just wondering if she only did the show because of the press conference. People could have thought it odd she did these interviews etc but then cancelled again. Wish she’d have just cancelled a couple of weeks and concentrated on getting better. But obviously with the press conference it would have meant letting more people down and even more to try and reorganise etc 4 Quote
Kristinaz Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:34 AM Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:34 AM (edited) Wow you can see how much she truly loves us. I have never ever doubted Celine's love for her fans no matter what the situation. I know that sometimes it is out of her control. Another thought came to my head tomorrow is 2 years since Rene's death. I wonder if that has also taken a toll on her this week. Hahahah I know we all want that dvd, including me. I've recorded a lot of songs during her tours and everytime I saw them in full quality on my tv I thought damn I should have recorded the whole show, or the screens. But when you are at the show, it's really the last thing you want to do haha.We should hire someone who doesn't care about her so he is fine with recording screens all night I get that because I've been in that situation before with filming and it is hard. I remember years back there were some users who went to various shows and usually taped the screens for the whole show. I have both Britney and Janet's shows from the screens cause of them and they filmed the Spice Girls reunion tour too but not via the screens Edited January 14, 2018 at 12:36 AM by Kristinaz 5 Quote

Xpresso Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:53 AM Posted January 14, 2018 at 12:53 AM When we are sick we can still do some things like talking (press conference) but singing is an entire different game...I also think she went on because Adele was there but now she's paying for it. 1 Quote
brendanm999 Posted January 14, 2018 at 01:16 AM Posted January 14, 2018 at 01:16 AM (edited) Guys she was probably feeling better, and then the singing unexpectedly made it worse, so she had to cancel again. That's probably all it is. I doubt it had anything to do with Adele. Edited January 14, 2018 at 01:16 AM by brendanm999 4 Quote

Nmj Posted January 14, 2018 at 01:26 AM Posted January 14, 2018 at 01:26 AM I've been sick with a viral infection for like 10 days it's going around. About 6 days in I felt better and tried to get back to my routine and get back to the gym and it took everything out of me and the next morning my symptoms were worse than the first day, so by doing so I took myself backwards. Celine probably did the same. She probably felt well enough to go on and realized during the show or after it wasn't a good idea. I honestly think before issuing the apology like she just did which was extremely heartfelt she should've cancelled the entire upcoming week of shows to be safe and then Apoogize and get better. By canceling the shows one at a time, it does look worse to the people going, it would be better to play it safe at this point and fully recover. That's probably the best thing to do for both Celine and the fans who are now going to be waiting day by day to see if the show is or isn't happening. But knowing the trooper that she is , she won't do that because of their is the slightest possibility to go on she will so she won't have to cancel another show. 5 Quote

mirage Posted January 14, 2018 at 01:45 AM Posted January 14, 2018 at 01:45 AM It's been a long time since she "personally" wrote a message for FB about cancellation. It's a sweet message. And guess we shouldn't look too much into why she performed again, and cancelled again.Like she said, "I always try to push through and I do everything I can to do my show" She wasn't enough recovered from the illness. Long press day, and singing ur lungs out of your body.Hope she stays in bed and get well soon. 4 Quote
scielle Posted January 14, 2018 at 01:46 AM Posted January 14, 2018 at 01:46 AM I really don't know how she handles all the stress she's under on a regular basis. So much expectation. So much on her shoulders, all the times. I really wish I had her resilience and stamina. (And her off-the-charts EQ!) 5 Quote
