Yes, it's everywhere. And not just entertainment press like ET or Access, either. Actual newscasts, too.

And it's always so lovely to see people who don't necessarily follow Celine / aren't fans, giving her love. Like this, or this, or this, and lots more like it elsewhere. (And as someone aptly pointed out, "Celine started singing in bars at age 5. She knows how to handle a drunk!" :giggle: )

It says a lot about modern culture, though, that a simple humane reaction from her is somehow surprising. We've become so jaded as a society.

Weird...it definitely wasn’t cut short at all. 100% full show that ran start to finish normal timing.

I guess people are playing the blame game either on Celine or Caesars. They are complaining about how it was last minute cancelation and they should do better on announcing it sooner. And for Celine for canceling all the time and being sick. FYI its not anyone on this forum it's just the people that had their concerts cancelled.

Amazing how much praise Celine got for her amazing class and grace on Friday night...yet all of these people are pointing fingers and making up stories and can’t even show an ounce of grace themselves.

For the record, the time stamp on my phone shows she was taking her final bow on Friday night at 9:33pm which is pretty typical of when the show ends. Crazy how rumors get started. Not sure why anyone would have stated she cut Friday short.

Oh the drama! Lol I just want our Queen happy and healthy. Here’s hoping she’s in tip top shape again soon. ❤️

Totally expected. Nothing out of the ordinary following a cancellation.

Hope she's well enough by Friday. And too bad she got sick this week of them all - with CES in town, Vegas is overflowing of influential movers & shakers; too bad they miss out on a chance to see her do her thing.

I think she cancelled more often during the "A new day" days... of course, that was also a time when she was doing more shows, and releasing more albums.

It also helps you to frame your reasoning around the other person's priorities, increasing both trust and the probability they will cooperate with you moving forward.

She demonstrated empathy.

Empathy is the ability to understand and share the thoughts or feelings of another, to put yourself in another person's shoes. It doesn't require you to share the same experiences or circumstances as others; rather, it's an attempt to imagine what the person is going through. It means resisting the urge to judge, and instead, trying to connect with the other person's feelings, to share them somehow.

Likely, Dion didn't know the specifics of this fan's personal circumstances. But she could likely relate to being in a situation where she was embarrassing herself, and where she's facing unknown problems below the surface. By using that feeling to relate, she was able to form a connection with the woman. This helped Dion then influence her to get off the stage calmly, quietly, and quickly.

This is just one example of how empathy works, but every day will bring new opportunities to develop this trait. In fact, every interaction you share with another person is a chance to see things from a different perspective, to share one's feelings, and to act.

Wow, even when she performed something like 200 shows a year she didn't cancel that much.

Yeah, ALSO the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is being held in Vegas this week. I was initially looking into seeing Céline this week (glad I didn't, after these cancelations), but Caesars had no rooms available online today or tomorrow, and when I called, they only had rooms at $700-800 per night. Staff is probably working in overdrive, and some can't handle the pressure. haha
