I'm reading mostly supportive comments under her Facebook post, but boy are there some nasty ones.

 

One lady saying it's her fault that " you let a crazy drunk lady molest you and now because of that thousands of fans are paying for it, next time think about your actions... couldn't believe that crap.

 

Also people complaining about traveling from Europe and this being the second trip they came only to be cancelled.

 

People need to understand that the lady is human.

Since she was mid song most singers probably would have just continued on with the song , no need to say anything if she wasn't "fine" ;)

For God's sake, when is her Vegas ending, it's gonna kill her? Early 2019 or end 2019?

She's been very hit or miss the last couple years. She continues to have brilliant moments, but it seems like Vegas needs to end. She's too complacent and it's very boring. The show needs to take a completely different direction or she needs to end it. She can perform anywhere she wants, anytime she wants, stability isn't necessary when you are in the position to pick when and where you work.

It breaks my heart that she feels like she has to apologise for being sick and that she has disappointed us. Never! Give yourself a break Celine! I hope she takes the time she needs to rest and get well.

Me, too. That message made me really sad .. . she has the right to a sick day like everyone else without feeling so guilty about it. Even asking forgiveness - there's nothing to be forgiven! She didn't do anything wrong!

So sad...I had rescheduled my tickets from the canceled show Tuesday to go tonight. Of course I don't blame her, just really disappointed. Going to try one last show for this Tuesday, and hope she's better.

No, but I do spend a lot of time here for both work and pleasure. Here on a work trip this week, but going to stay over two days in an attempt to see her Tuesday night. Crossed fingers!

Wow you can see how much she truly loves us. I have never ever doubted Celine's love for her fans no matter what the situation. I know that sometimes it is out of her control. Another thought came to my head tomorrow is 2 years since Rene's death. I wonder if that has also taken a toll on her this week.

 

I was thinking the same. I wonder if it also has to do with René s anniversaries this week(end). I think it would have been more wise not to plan anything around this time of year.

 

Even though you don't think it effects you and you can handle it.... unconsciously it gets to you and then it can manifest itself through illness.

 

Her Facebook post is beautiful. :cry: she really feels so bad because of the whole situation. I feel so sorry for her. :hug:

I wonder if the only reason she performed last night was because Adele was there?

 

More likely she forced herself to go back to work early because she knew she needed to do the press conference on Wednesday. Once she had done that, she couldn't exactly turn round and say she was too ill to perform. Anyway, hope she is better soon.

I get that because I've been in that situation before with filming and it is hard. I remember years back there were some users who went to various shows and usually taped the screens for the whole show. I have both Britney and Janet's shows from the screens cause of them and they filmed the Spice Girls reunion tour too but not via the screens

 

I think you are totally right, of course that must be in her mind and affecting her. I'm sure it has been throughout the past couple of years, but she has sometimes tried not to show it. You only needed to watch the press conference the other day to see how much she still wants to talk about Rene.

I do understand the people travelling from Europe or any other place for that matter are disappointed.

 

Imagine being a fan and saving up a lot of money to travel to Las Vegas only to see Céline. Maybe the very first time you are seeing her live. It's a LOT LOT LOT of money. And for the show to be cancelled. Of course people are going to be upset. It's very understandable.

 

I'm travelling to Las Vegas from Europe in March for Céline only. If she cancelled, I will be very disappointed. I will understand, she's human. I won't be angry at her or mad. But disappointed. But it's a risk we are taking.

I have a friend who traveled to UK from Canada to see Adele when she cancelled her show last summer. Luckily she was also seeing Céline so it wasn't a "wasted" trip.

 

But being angry, it's of no use. Like you say, Céline is only human, we all are (I hope :giggle: )

Why is it that every time something goes wrong, Vegas is to blame? She was sick multiple times during the TCWT, and during AND.

 

Stability IS necessary for her children so they can have as much of a normal life as possible... and it seems to have worked quite well for RC.

 

I doubt we’ll ever get another 2 year long tour like the TCWT until after the twins go to university... in 12 years. Notice that she’s touring Europe/Canada/Asia in the summer so as not to disrupt school schedules.

I've been sick with a viral infection for like 10 days it's going around. About 6 days in I felt better and tried to get back to my routine and get back to the gym and it took everything out of me and the next morning my symptoms were worse than the first day, so by doing so I took myself backwards.

 

Celine probably did the same. She probably felt well enough to go on and realized during the show or after it wasn't a good idea.

I honestly think before issuing the apology like she just did which was extremely heartfelt she should've cancelled the entire upcoming week of shows to be safe and then Apoogize and get better. By canceling the shows one at a time, it does look worse to the people going, it would be better to play it safe at this point and fully recover. That's probably the best thing to do for both Celine and the fans who are now going to be waiting day by day to see if the show is or isn't happening. But knowing the trooper that she is , she won't do that because of their is the slightest possibility to go on she will so she won't have to cancel another show.

 

I currently have a viral illness too that wont go away, I literally cannot do anything only stay in bed or it keeps getting worse, so I really feel for Celine!!

I still find it amazing she can just carry on after lol. If it were me I’d be swearing like a trooper!! 😂

Me too. I've been sick going on 8 weeks. Just when you feel better it comes back full force again. I've been to the doctor twice, 2 rounds of antibiotics and still cant kick the cough and throat issues. I feel for Celine, these viruses going around are nasty and hard to get rid of. There would be no way I could sing now if I had to.
