Hard to believe it's been 2 years.

 

Celine has been such a trooper and has worked so hard these past two years. Always putting on a brave face but obviously still missing him very much. Must be especially hard at times like this - she used to have Rene to hug her and tell her 'tout va être correct' when she had to cancel in the past. And now she doesn't have that & is carrying all that stress on her little shoulders. I'm sure Rene would be very proud of how well she's handled everything since his passing.

 

Get better soon, Celine, & stay strong! Love to you and the boys.

I totally agree. I am sure of two things: One is that he is so proud of the way she has handled her life since his passing. She has conducted herself with such strength, respect and dignity. Two I am sure that she misses him very much. Every time that she talks about him, you can see that nothing has changed, she still loves him very much.Well he is at peace and I know looking out for her and all his children. Bravo Celine, as he would say you are a champion!

It still somehow seems a bit unreal doesn't it. How can you have Celine without Rene. The answer is that you can't, he will always be a massive part of her life.

It's crazy how time flies. I still remember being with my mom when a fan told me on WhatsApp that René had just passed. I spent the night watching live TV news talking about him, tributes to him from all across Canada... What an emotional night that was. I think TVA became René Angélil TV for one night.

 

Not to mention the funeral. I'm 150% sure I'm not the only one here who cried his heart out while watching the live broadcast. Céline entering the church, RC's speech, the final goodbye outside the church... It was definitely something I'll never forget.

I can't believe it's already been 2 years since Rene's passing. I still think about Rene everyday, as I know Celine does as well. I am so proud of the way Celine has handled this challenging time in her life and the strength she has shown in these past 2 years. Celine never fails to amaze me.

 

It sucks that she is sick at the moment, especially on this day. I am hoping that Celine gets well soon and continues to stay strong an optimistic for what the future will bring in her home life and career. I know that whatever comes her way, Rene will be watching over her and guiding her from above.

True. I believe the secret to her success (of course her talent) was the partnership that they shared. They were a hell of a team. Both at work and at home. If you read her books and follow her story its clear that they became a unit, and that made them both strong and so powerful. well ,as she says so many times .....They are one!

He's missed! He was definitely a great manager with an unlimited vision. In fact if he was alive, that forthcoming new English album would surely have arrived by now! He was always pushing for new projects to happen and Céline was the naysayer about most of them.

Sorry ,I am on a Celine and Rene high today. I was watching the millennium concert in Montreal, by far my favorite Celine and Rene moment. When she asks him for a kiss, and he opens his arms like how, because she is on the stage and he is not. She just lies down on the stage in order to kiss him , that was the most romantic and amazing moment ever! They were cute together!

I can't believe it has already been 3 years since Rene's passing. I still think about him all the time and I know he will forever be in Celine's life and heart and the lives and hearts of her children. Rene's legacy will continue to live on through Celine and Rene's kids and through Rene's adult children as well. I send my thoughts and prayers out to the Dion/Angelil family today, as I'm sure it will be a heavy time for everyone.

For some odd reason I was convinced it was four years but not yet. Three. What amazes me is that she went out and did the Aretha tribute the night before it was the anniversary of Rene's passing. As has already been said many times over the years, he would be so proud of her, but also his kids. RC is turning the big all-important, crucially life-changing, liberating 18 in a few days, and how sad to be doing so without his father here in physical form.

I am always amazed by Celine! Yesterday I was watching her sing at Aritha's tribute and as soon as she sang 'I was born by the river in a little tent ....' with that incredible voice and such feeling. I just lost it. I had goosebumps all over! ( mind you ,we are all aware that the quality of the video is not perfect) At that moment I remembered Rene. I thought to myself he always said that he got goosebumps when he heard her sing. I believe he would sure love to see this. At that moment I realized, you know what ? He is here watching her sing. Every time she touches people through her voice, he is there. Every time she is fearless in all her projects, he is there. Every time she takes care of her 3 boys , he is there. I am sure that he is so proud of her as a singer , woman ,mom, and above all human being. So Celine, today I saw your post, yes he is with you and will always be. Rene two words: thank you!
