smash Posted November 23, 2015 at 06:53 PM Posted November 23, 2015 at 06:53 PM Yes Americans say hateful things about her. Unfortunately people behind a computer feel free to spit vulgar comments without regard to that person's feelings. I guess it's just an American problem and it must not happen any where else in the world. No wonder she doesn't want to get on social media. Sorry Sherri. Sharon. Quote

justinecoria Posted November 23, 2015 at 06:54 PM Posted November 23, 2015 at 06:54 PM (edited) I really don't understand why people here say there are tons of negative comments about her performance on the internet . It's like they've never been on Twitter/Youtube/Google before and don't know haters are everywhere. It's all extremely positive in the end. Coming back to the performance, I can't help but think of the out-of-tune notes, the slip in the lyrics, the hot potato in her mouth at some points, the mimicking of Edith Piaf's voice. Yet, it was just wonderful. Her pure magical tone is back. Some of the high notes are just woow. And such an emotional performance. This is how I always pictures the older Celine singing. egyptstrawb Posted November 23, 2015 at 06:56 PM Posted November 23, 2015 at 06:56 PM I quite liked that her voice wasn't perfect. It showed (though she always does) how much she was feeling emotionally. It really was a spectacular performance and all the reviews I've read have been very positive about how it touched peoples emotions. I loved particularly the instrumental at the end before the last part where she turned away then swished her skirt , turned back and sang the last section. Very powerful. As a side note, am I right in thinking she was voted 2nd or 3rd best female francophone artist in a French poll?? I have a funny feeling she was second to Edith Piaf. In which case she was perfect for this role. 😊 3 Quote

Popular Post SuperLove4Celine Posted November 23, 2015 at 09:03 PM Popular Post Posted November 23, 2015 at 09:03 PM To me, the performance was perfect in that it wasn't "perfect". This is the same way I have felt about the recent performances of "My Heart Will Go On." Live performances are MEANT to be "off" and not 100% "perfect" (whatever that word truly means). If I wanted to hear a song where all the notes were being hit all the time, the performer got all the lyrics right, etc., I'd pop in the CD or turn on my iPod. 13 Quote
smw Posted November 23, 2015 at 09:05 PM Posted November 23, 2015 at 09:05 PM There has been so much positivity and respect for Celine's performance. People seem to really understand that it was more about power and emotion rather than perfection -- considering this was a tribute to Paris. She is still trending all over the internet! So wonderful for her. She deserves this sort of respect. 3 Quote

ONLY very positive reviews. I personaly loved everything and I´m so proud. I´ve got only good things to say. Same thing here in Italy. All networks talked about her rendition and how she's given a voice to Paris. It was great to see her on tv again. It would have been better if it was for a different occasion but let me say that this moment is way way way better than I Surrender or All By Myself, just to say that it was real, it was felt, it was simple. The atmosphere, the lights, the look, the dress and the end when she rises her arm along with the musicians its such a perfect work of art. 2 Quote
