Yes, bring back Unison! Classic Celine song, fits the theme of the show perfectly! Cut Uptown Funk. Why is that in there anyway??? So random. (Ugh, can't stand Uptown Funk. No idea what it's about b/c I've never been able to bring myself to listen to the whole thing).

Exactly! Why IS Uptown Funk in there!??? We will never know. I think I'll tweet them and ask. (like I'll get a response but worth a shot..... :mellow:

I'm not against a Cd but I am not so crazy about it somehow. I think they should get used to the new show first. And I want Unison on this release not this awful "town sth" it's just awful :wacko:

Forgive the fangirl moment after her first speech, céline pointed at us and gave a wink and we kinda lost it for a minute. Really happy the phone didn't pick up our reaction to the flirtation of kiss, that would have been mortifying. Also at the end I'm consoling my friend who is sobbing (it was her last night) lol. And then some dude talks at the end but all in all I think the quality is great. This was recorded from 9th row. Enjoy!

To get the show to 90 minutes, this is what I'd do:
Remove "River Deep, Mountain High" altogether. Have "Love Can Move Mountains" performed on its own. Even if performed in full, this should save a decent chunk of time. (Let's face it, "Love Can Move Mountains" isn't going anywhere. It's one of Celine's favorites. She won't get rid of it.)
Remove one of the Prince songs. Keep one of them (probably "Purple Rain") since it seems to please the crowd. (Exception to keep both noted below.)
Remove "Incredible" and move "All By Myself" to its position.
Remove "Mr. Paganini" if both Prince songs are to stay. (Face it, folks, it's gotta be both Prince songs or Ella Fitzgerald. We can't have both Prince covers and the Ella Fitzgerald song.)
If "Mr. Paganini" is removed, replace "Quand ca balance" with "La diva" and an appropriate interlude to accompany it.
Remove the "Uptown Funk" medley. Make Celine's outfit from "Immortality" to "All By Myself" that which can be changed quickly onstage to one which compliments uptempo numbers. This would save time and could allow her to go from "All By Myself" to "Kiss"/"Purple Rain" without even having to leave the stage.

The "Love Can Move Mountains"/"River Deep" medley has become a new signature for her... Even making its way into the European tour which was mostly French songs. I don't see it going anywhere - especially since they have the orchestra up and dancing on it now.

Prince medley should STAY and the silver dress should come back. It was stunning. They should also move the medley back to where it was on opening night.

She clearly loves "Mr Paganini" and with the addition of "Quand ça balance," she must want a "jazz" section.

"La diva" will never happen... And it would probably end up as the "bathroom break" song (along with Barnev's solos).

They COULD cut WDMHBN... Have her open with "I Surrender" then go right into BYLM, then do her opening speech... Maybe move "Incredible" to where the IACBTMN/POL medley is now and move the medley to after the acoustic set?

If they want to cut things, please either cut the Barnev interludes, or change them to instrumental versions of Celine's songs.

I also think she should come back and sing at least the last chorus of Unison, that would be awesome.

As for Incredible, I love the studio version, but don't really care for it live, at leasst with Barnev singing it as her partner. Couldn't she find someone else to sing with? Failing that, as much as I love it, it may have to be cut.

I'm not really a fan of the prince section or Mr. Paganini, so they can be cut IMO. If they wanted a different french song, I think ONCP would be great, it could get the crowd interacting by clapping or singing along.

As for Barnev's solos yes, they could be cut. I honestly fast-forwarded through them, he just doesn't do much for me.

Well, I think those are all my thoughts, but I'm sure I'll have more.

We need to keep that jazz section! No way in hell do i want to see it removed!! It cannot be removed! Jazz is a rare talent and gift for celine! I would get rid of one of the prince songs..and maybe change incredible (or add a ne yo hologram), even possibly add Im your angel

I would like to see a change with the quand ce balance were sometimes she does that song, and another jazz song, quand on saime"

I don't mind Barnev doing vocals on intervals (although i think the girls should get their fair share), but i do think they should be doing Celine's songs during each interval.

Celine has recorded songs primarily not because that's her favourite genre .... Because that's what her career made her do.... It's what sells for her...

Celine has recorded MANY songs in MANY styles. The problem with her team is that they are afraid to let (some of) her "golden" songs go. They could easily make a divers show on her own discography alone.

I truly hope that when a new your comes, Scott can delete these "must haves".

The "Love Can Move Mountains"/"River Deep, Mountain High" medley is only a semi-signature of Celine's, at best. When people think of Celine, they don't tend to think of that routine. They imagine her thumping her chest to "My Heart Will Go On." They imagine her performing "The Power Of Love," "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" and even "All By Myself." I highly doubt the general public and hardcore fans would become disheartened and puzzled why she didn't perform "River Deep, Mountain High" for a while.

As for "La diva," I think it is incredibly rude with loads of underestimation to claim this would be a "bathroom break" song. This really could be a highlight of the show if handled with great care and respect. People know Celine has a great voice, but a song like "La diva" could show people she has even greater versatility than ever thought before. She may be having fun with her interpretation of jazz, but quite honestly, in my opinion, I've never really "felt" her soul come through with that genre. She's a damn great vocalist and entertainer. So, she could get away with doing practically anything while sounding great at it. It doesn't mean it works as well as other numbers could.

We talk about wanting more Celine originals on here, and a solution is presented to cut "Where Does My Heart Beat Now," her very first English single in the U.S. and the song that really helped propel her into the English market before "Beauty And The Beast." To recommend cutting that song in a show titled "Celine" instead of some random jazz covers or Prince covers is mind-boggling to me.

Right...because "Nothing Broken But My Heart," "Misled," "Somebody Loves Somebody," "A cause," "Can't Fight The Feelin'," "Why Oh Why" and "La diva" are all the same types of songs.

I wonder if the band and orchestra have been rehearsing a new song or two in the last few days...

For me I love that her own team are already tweaking and are open already to changes and to making this show epic even though it's impossible to please everyone!

The fact that Aldo has been to every show and is taking notes and that he and her social media team are not only on Facebook and Twitter but on other sites... because they genuinely care what fans think and want fresh ideas and a slightly new take on this chapter of her career. That has to be applauded and welcomed and like her shows in the past, they will evolve and I don't think we will get a DVD until next year when they are completely happy with the whole package.

Fans can also be critics and she said herself that she does not want to be surrounded by "yes" people.

The best is def yet to come!
