I agree, cut the funk interlude. Bring back unison, and let her sing the last chorus.

Also, it doesn't really make sense to just show the AI video for IICD, especially if they're just using it as an interlude. Like I keep saying, why not just an instrumental of one of her songs?

As for the holograms, I agree with someone who said that Immortality is kind of a weird song to have a hologram to. I actually prefer all the way, it's a special song for Celine and Rene.

As for them all being cut, like someone said maybe it's equipment issues. Either that, or since they've done holograms since 2011 they figure they've had their time and wanted to remove them.

I also liked how she was just a bit behind in the ending of MHWGO, it added something unique to the performance.

I hope they change her ending speech, where she talks about a new beginning. I was hoping this show wouldn't be as scripted, but.

This is so disappointing. I'll say it again: "They are chopping the show to bits." Opening night and Saturday night were magical. The show could've remained as is for the entire run and it would've been fantastic.

 

It's just such a shame. After opening night, people were saying it was her best show ever. Now, they're removing so many things that WORKED and that the fans loved. They're not even replacing songs... Just cutting.

 

I'm glad I made the decision to be there for opening night so I was able to see the show in its full perfection.

why do i get the feeling that the shows team has been on this forum or listened to fans opinion on this show!!

cause they made adjustment pretty much according to what we said on here!!

 

I disagree. The forum loved Unison, and I don't recall many suggestions that the holograms be taken out. I loved ATW being in there, as its Celine and Rene's special song.

Yes opening night and Saturday were absolutely,, fteakin fantastic!!! Why mess with a good thing? :(

Please bring Unison back! Do you know how excited I was to hear it! I still don't get the Prince thing......

While some choices are awkward (and we really have no 100% official info why they were made), it's all very exciting as it shows they're actively engaged and committed to make it a great show (as opposed to the previous version which turned into "auto mode" very quickly). B)

but I don't get why we have If I can dream VIDEO from another performance, it doesn't fit the show at all, I hope you know what I mean. Why bring a random song for the interlude and show an oooooold video? weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeird

 

I accept the fact that they are changing things, it's a good thing, but they are cutting good things instead of worse parts and as someone said they don't replace anything they just cut :(

I just had an idea... What if they did BATB, and she changed into the green dress and did the last chorus of Unison and LCMM/RDMH then changed for Immortality? Just an idea I had. I know it will probably never happen but thinking of creative ways to ways to use timing. :)

If they wanna save time, let's cut the IDAN fans montage. It is nice and fun to see fans from around the world showing their support, but I don't see that adds much to the show from a random audience perspective, and it doesn't flow well to I Surrender anyway.

 

From Caesar's perspective, while celine sings "the show must go on", caesars execs may be sining "the show must move on" in their mind, and get these audience out and gamble quick.

Agreed.

I don't know if I'd call my thoughts complaining, well maybe.

Anyway, you're right, she could still be on break right now.

As for the idan opening, I think that was nice for the premier night, but I dunno what I think of keeping it for the whole run. I do know someone whose in it and, though I'm thrilled for her, I do kind of wish they'd use a different opener. Maybe have a celine/rene video, showing them over the years or something.

Just my thoughts, I'm trying not to complain too much because, overall, the show is fine.

I've kind of been skipping reading some comments lately. I figured after the show premiered, people would start over-thinking the show.

 

At the end of the day...

 

Celine's in Vegas performing a fabulous show. Celine and her team can never please all of us hardcore fans as well as the general public. But I think they've done a lovely job so far. There are tons of factors that go into their decisions that we are oblivious to, anyways.

I hope we all get the chance to go see Celine in Las Vegas! Just relax, everybody. :-D

It was just so lovely when the show premiered and there were TONS of positive comments. I could hardly keep up. And I loved reading those.

 

Then, when Celine's team started changing the show a bit, the positivity pretty much ceased. So after a couple pages of those comments... It was getting monotonous and I stopped reading.

 

I'm an obsessed Celine Dion fan because it's a nice escape. And I was starting to miss the "nice" part. :giggle:
