Well, Celine finished her last shows for awhile. Now her and Rene are going to be going to Boston again to see Rene's progress. I hope and pray that everything will be okay and that Rene continues on this path to better health. Fingers crossed and prayers are being sent tonight and always!

This was a live performance that was perfect and gave me the shivers. usually the song does not touch me anymore but now it did again. Wow and how better the arrangement! The orchestra plays a way bigger role now. It used to be her band that overshadowed the orchestra. This is the real deal!

Honestly, I started to be bored every time MHWGO was performed and I hated that it closed the show because it was the same old playback version that we have heard for YEARS.

 

Now I can say and I think I speak for most here, it's a breath of fresh air, I love the song again, I love the Adlibs and how she finally has the guts and confidence to play around with the song the way a Diva should. I don't know why she was afraid to play around with it because whether people like Celine or not almost everyone who has an idea about music knows that Celine is one of the greatest live performers ( in terms of delivering a live performance) if NOT THE GREATEST Of our generation and she's doing now with so much more emotion, It could be just me but I think it sounds better in 2015 than it did in 1997 defiantly if nothing else more heart in the performances of MHWGO. I believe FINALLY for the non causal fans like us MHWGO is becoming a highlight of her live shows again and at least for me, there was a time for like the last 10 years I could honestly care less if she cut the song from her shows and now I LOVE IT again, now if she would just do the same for IACBTMN ( but that's a discussion for a different time lol).

 

Either way, even tho I miss Rene being her manager if feel like I'm not ashamed to admit I was WRONG, Aldo has handled her career very delicately and made some good changes so far for her live shows and the whole aspect of finally catching up her social media to the 21st century! I feel like he reads our comments here: think about it for the most part we can't complain, the majority of fans wanted,

 

1. More Celine songs performed in her LV show- since Aldo signed on the show was revamped.

2. Better social media effort- since Aldo came on it has drastically improved

3. New music- Aldo has confirmed 2 albums coming soon

4. New arrangement to songs- Aldo did the unpopular thing and fire Mego and I feel like Scott is doing a great job so far

5. More live, less playback- Since Aldo came " I surrender" that was playback in AND is now live, ABMS totally live and MHWGO live.

 

If you happen to read, thanks Aldo and sorry for calling you ALDI lol, ( still think that Annie horth can help you dress better tho dude)

 

With everything going on in Celine and Rene's life . I think 2015 is good time to be a Celine fan still and they have given us more than we could ever imagine given the circumstances, part of me feels guilty and just want Celine to stay at home and just be a wife and mom because I know how much she enjoys it, but on the other hand I feel like for the first time in about 12 years she seems VERY happy to be onstage again and robot Celine is gone!

Thinking twice, and if the show has ti fit into 1 hour 40 mins, I'd rather have fewer interludes and fewer dresses in this show, and more songs. I'd have just four dresses like in Paris Bercy 2013, and keep existing songs from 27 Aug (and maybe add Taking Chances at the beginning of the unplugged medley, so that there are four songs in this medley, like in the one from LTAL Tour). If she needs to lip a few more songs that would be okay for me. Like if she replaced Beauty and the Beast by LMBTL, I would be okay with it lipped for her voice to rest a bit Here's my proposal of settlist (also to avoid All By Myself right after the up-tempo LCMM/RDMH):

I desperately want to see lmbtl or any other song from the Era in place of incredible. I agree incredible should be cut, but it definitely needs replaced with another album song because otherwise the newest celine song in the show is the acoustic medley and that's not good lol

Hmmm about Immortality, I honestly don't know what to think. The hologram idea was nice, she had more time to interact with people and there was a surprise that there are Celines on the other hand, if there is no hologram, she sings the entire song live... I think no matter what she does with the song, I'm happy that it's there and not an interlude of a performance from the 90s

 

I think, regardless the covers, the show's construction for the opening night was better, now they're trying weird things. I don't know can't they decide during rehearsals what works or not?

This show might have been the best i have heard so far...and 100% live..believe me she was in top shape that night. Wow what a night that must have been! Thank you very much for sharing!!!!!!!!

listening to the Sep 2 bootleg.... the "honey i know i know" note in purple rain did not sound so pretty. I'm worried about the toll this show may be doing her voice already. More live singing and harder songs in any show than shes done.... the first couple shows that note sounded flawless (as difficult as it is) ...she was rested then... for a chest note it hits about the upper part of her range, the highest she has done in that for awhile without mixing so much.

The problem with incredible is not celine not even barnev..but the insteuments and the backgroundsingers. Esspecially they overpower the refrain. And the drums should not be normal drums but R@b drumsamples. The drums they use are too pop and not loud enough. Just listen to the original song and try to mimic that sound, beause it is really all in the music that this song sounds so cool on the studio recording and not so cool and tame in Vegas!

Aldo if you read this - You have made a great setlist! But things like this make it really better. Also, get rid of that French song which goes all over the place and nobody knows that song. It is not pretty and it is not nice to listen to either. If Celine wants to honour Eddy Marnay, then choose a hitsong he arranged for her instead.

I would not shed a tear if "Incredible" was cut, not one tear would be shed by me. If she added WAAF or SLS or LMBTL, I'd find some way to sneak back this year!!! DKL could easily take the place of ABM imo.

Loved me back to life - the lyrics. I don't think she is gonna sing that song any time soon again because of Rene's condition. I don't know but I feel that is the reason why it has been cut. And also - if they are gonna bring back that song eventually, the arrangement needs way more power than before. Better drums again, just like in Incredible. I think this is not something a drummer can do, or you need a very special drumset. They better use live samples for those drumsounds.
