I don't think so ,it is live ,it's just that she likes singing it in that way

 

I compared it to Kye's recording of the opening night, my recording of the opening night, and Tyler's recording of the first three nights, it's all the same. So no, it is not live.

 

I can't listen now, so where are we guessing the track starts and ends? Ends with that nice low note before she asks audience to sing and maybe starts at bridge?? That would be my guess lol but I think ive skipped this song on the bootleg every time so I honestly don't know lol

 

From what I can tell, the whole thing is lipped except for the last line that she sings with the audience.

Maybe it's just hard for her because of Rene? She's never lipped this before except for that one or two offhand television performances...

I've always felt like in comparison to all the songs she has sang live for that many years, it's harder than them. There are a few hard parts of the song. Making sure she sounds soft rather than nasal in the beginning and ends, the "because of you" note, not because of the falsetto but the because note before the transition to head voice... the long note and adlib that follow... it's definitely not an extremely difficult song to sing live but it's definitely harder than MHWGO

Yep, quite weird for first five songs to be lipped like that. But abm and the end of show must go on are also partial playbacks.

Maybe she can't sing more than a certain number of songs a night?to protect her voice....i know she has to sing those songs, but if it was just for me, i would cut them and sing easier songs, it would be better. But it is not just for me. Edited by québecflower

if they have to use playback they should do it more carefully, I mean not as many song in the row, and how is she supposed to warm up then? I know there is a soundcheck but she should go smoothly and gently through the show, and lipping for so long does no good. Also, that is why I don't think IS should be at the beginning of the show.

 

Celine still sings beneath the playback with her mic turned down. Obviously not as powerfully and avoiding the tough notes, but there is still something coming out of her mouth during these songs. This was evident during IDAN in Vienna in 2008 when she had no idea the playback wasn't working. Also the playback failed to kick in straight away during Man In The Mirror on opening night in 2011, yet you still hear Celine singing quietly during that first line before the playback comes in.

That's so true. I've always thought she's sung the low harmony part of the song! Right?

Yes I know, so why not sing them normally? I mean I could live without TPOL or even BYLM for a change if every song was sung live.

 

The thing with IS is that it's too big to start the concert with. Too difficult, too stretched out. I LOVE that it's back but it should be performed later in the show. Firstly, because it'd be better for Celine's voice but secondly also because it's too heavy (lyrically, musically, etc) to begin with.

However, what she saw was not simple, and she admits that sometimes it cracks. Yes she cries and no, it is not as strong as everyone seems to think. Celine Dion is a woman like any other, who is afraid of losing the man she loves so long. Still, she tries to look good, and to be strong. Here is what she said:

 

"I try to be strong, because my husband needs me and because I want to show my children that illness is part of life."

 

Very conscious of having a gold circle to guard Rene Angelil she wished to explain that her husband was guarded 24 hours on 24 and 7 days on 7, at home. And what helps the most? The love of their family who is present with them and help them in these difficult times:

 

"When faced with such events, it must be able to rely on his entourage. Our way, so I could make this show is to make sure my children and my husband are well. And I assure you that my children are happy and René is well surrounded."

 

Celine Dion has therefore not dream of life we could have imagined. She made her concerts, takes care of her children and supports her husband in his fight against cancer, as do so many people worldwide. Poignant confidences that show once again how the star down to earth. Hats artist!

Do you guys know any figures for the show? How is it selling? When I look at below number , I tend to think Vegas is not THE place to perform no matter what they say ...

Listening to Just A Little Bit Of Love,

 

I feel like she would have sooo much fun singing that song. It may not play on radio, but its part of one of her best selling album. I know the song is old, but anyone who likes celine just a little and/or are ready to pay to see her in Vegas will obviously know that song.

Is it just me or is Immortality the totally wrong song for Celine to be in the audience for?

 

It's such a sentimental song with meaningful lyrics yet the experience for me is being cheapened by fans mobbing Celine for selfies and videos with her.

 

I really feel that Celine should be on stage for this number, and go into the audience for LCMM/RDMH instead.

 

When I look at Shania's Vegas show, she went into the audience during fun songs where the audience could participate and it was much more enjoyable.

I agree with you but beggars can't be choosers, they did it this way orginally because of the hologram.

I've thought this too. They could change it up a bit so during LCMM/RDMH (one or both songs) celine goes into the audience and goes the back way out. Then the band etc can finish the song while Celine gets changed and appears on stage for next section. Or does a whole lap of the theatre,down one aisle,through the middle,and back down the other side and end the song(s) on stage. It would just freshen it up a bit more. And if they're worried about security etc let the back up singers walk with her! Like the dancers did on TCWT.

Wonder if there'll be anything new when it starts again at the end of the month!
