"Celine" The Revamped Show

I was there that night and could clearly see her face, to me she looked and sounded as if she was overtaken with emotion. I met up with a few fans after who felt the same. I am no expert on vocals though so it's just my own opinion.

I surrender on the 27th and 30th was identical 100% post curtain drop. Including "right here, right now". The note at the end though was live, as was the beginning before the curtain drop. The 29th sounded different all over the place, so clearly the playback just didn't kick in.

Finally settled into reality. Trying to get through all these pages. I just had to reply though because kiss must stay! Trust me guys, having céline literally flirting with you, which happened to me on two seperate nights, that's just something you don't get out of your head lol. It's a sexy number that she completely slays. Just make sure she doesn't catch you with your tounge hanging out of your mouth

Songs will be cut, songs will be added.. All very exciting, compared to the previous show (2011-2014) with very little changes.

Disappointing that "Unison" has been cut and that "Purple Rain" doesn't close the show because I think it was a great and unexpected ending - although "The Show Must Go On" is strong as well and I'm glad there are at least 2 songs after LCMM/RDMH!

 

The show is still over 90 min (clocking in at 99 min based on this recording)... something else will be cut, although I don't know what else could realistically be axed and still keep the artistic integrity of what this show is now...

Everything Barnev

I honestly don't think they're doing these things because of timing, but because of how it faired in the show as a whole. Personally, I felt All the way was lacking in that hologram segment, and Unison, IDK.

I think it's so sad that some people are focused on if Celine is singing Live or not. It's really sad. Celine is back, she is putting on an amazing show and this is what we are focusing on? Seriously.

 

It doesn't sound lipped, it doesn't look lipped. Why are people focusing on this. Just enjoy the show. I feel sad for all the people who are focusing so much time on whether Celine is singing Live or not, instead of enjoying the show and focusing all there energy on that.

 

 

I agree, geez!!! Some people are arguing about such trivial details. The woman is almost 50, has a husband dying of cancer and 3 kids. Give her a break! We've been hoping to hear her sing for more than a year and now people are complaining. A major production like this is RARELY 100% live. Just enjoy what we have now while it lasts, guys.

I've never been a huge Barnev supporter, but I think he was a lot stronger in this show than in the past. "Spinning Wheel" was always a disaster, but his version of "Will It Go Round In Circles" is actually quite good and he has a lot more "life" during "Incredible" than he did in the past... I love hearing Celine sing B&TB and I thought that "Incredible" was a good moment in the show. I hate that they cut Elise and Dawn's moment in "Unison" tho...

OMG yes. I absolutely hate Uptown Funk and “HATE” is an understatement. I hate the verses, the chorus, the words, the composition, the video, and it's existence.... I have no clue what it's about or why it was written. Barnev singing it made me hate it even more, and the addition to Celine's setlist is downright blasphemous

I think since they decided to make changes and freshen things up ,the should've thought of making it younger,I mean about the band members and dancers,but with barnev(lool) and the rest apart from the new guitarist ,it's like a granny show,they should think about it with the release of the new albums,I think it will a play a big role and pay more attention to celine music ,especially younger generation ,and can help her look younger on stag

To get the show to 90 minutes, this is what I'd do:

• Remove "River Deep, Mountain High" altogether. Have "Love Can Move Mountains" performed on its own. Even if performed in full, this should save a decent chunk of time. (Let's face it, "Love Can Move Mountains" isn't going anywhere. It's one of Celine's favorites. She won't get rid of it.)
  
• Remove one of the Prince songs. Keep one of them (probably "Purple Rain") since it seems to please the crowd. (Exception to keep both noted below.)
  
• Remove "Incredible" and move "All By Myself" to its position.
  
• Remove "Mr. Paganini" if both Prince songs are to stay. (Face it, folks, it's gotta be both Prince songs or Ella Fitzgerald. We can't have both Prince covers and the Ella Fitzgerald song.)
  
• If "Mr. Paganini" is removed, replace "Quand ca balance" with "La diva" and an appropriate interlude to accompany it.
  
• Remove the "Uptown Funk" medley. Make Celine's outfit from "Immortality" to "All By Myself" that which can be changed quickly onstage to one which compliments uptempo numbers. This would save time and could allow her to go from "All By Myself" to "Kiss"/"Purple Rain" without even having to leave the stage.
