If the text there writes "celine makes jokes of the paparazzi", you may have a different interpretation of that pic. Or "celine got caught having an affair with a black man".

I may get some flack for this , but these people are paying top dollar they deserve a selfie with Celine or to touch her hand, in my opinion. Yes I agree they should stay calm and act like humans for gods sake have their moments and then leave her alone lol but I think it's refreshing to see Celine do this , something Mariah or another star of Celine's caliber would be be reluctant or scared to do.

I agree. IMO as long as people are polite about it, they should get a picture with her or be able to shake her hand if she has time.

For me, that'd be the highlight of any concert, short of actually meeting her, of course.

Okay. Good, I'm not the only one. LOL. It looks completely different. Looking at your picture from 2011, I can see that even the face looks a little different and the body. The body seems boxy now. It was more hourglass and slim before.

 

I guess it just has to get a makeover from time to time, but in my opinion the body looks nothing like Celine's actual figure. I don't know why they made her look so boxy. The statue doesn't even have a waist now.

P.S. The idiot scream "Yaaaas!" when she starts singing "Mr. Paganini" is me lol... I think I'm one of the few on this forum who was praying it wouldn't get cut!

I was so happy to hear her sing Mr. Paganini. One of my favorites from the show and I am so happy they kept it.

I'm intrigued to see if these changes will stay the same for Wednesday's show or change even further. I kinda hope they put it back to how it was...it was perfect!

If there are to be more changes, they will be the kind we probably won't like. Meaning, they will probably cut another song or two. I'm not sure how long the show runs as of now without "All The Way" and the "Unison" interlude, but my gut tells me at least one more song will bite the dust in the coming week. Which one? I'm not sure. Possibly "Over The Rainbow" or one of the Prince songs. Personally, I'd love to see Barnev's solo go away and just make an instrumental interlude with some awesome visuals onstage.

I hope not but I feel, "Somewhere Over The Rainbow " will eventually be cut as was "What a Wonderful World" was, because the shows only get shorter as the run goes on. I really had hoped that "The Colour of my Love" would have closed the show.

This song is not a bunch of words made to sound good, these words are truly an art and for me this is one of the best written songs in history, not because I'm of fan of Celine but it's he truth one of the most finely put together lyrics that I have heard in my life, and it's a shame the song has been showcased more because the words are SO beautiful.

I'm watching every single video and i have to say the show is better now and Celine is so genuine doing her performances

 

Opening number, i'd change the curtin drop

I Surrender doesn't fit the opening, they can keep both but the way they are presenting both together it is not the best, maybe the curtain should fall dawn and Celine comes from behind and start singing

 

New acoustic medley is an hilight on the show, love the way she does with I'm alive and thats the way it is

 

Prince covers are fabulous on the show, she could sing a mashup of with this tears and purple rain

 

Show must go on is so strong, love the arrangements

I am absolutely dead that she does MHWGO live again after all these years! Has she ever done this before? Lipped a song for over a decade and then starts singing it live again? It's amazing. It breathes new life into the song for me. I love it again after all these years. I love the new way she's singing it too, not exactly like she used to sing it. I love that she's doing new embellishments to a lot of her songs now!

Thank you so much Tyler for splitting your full audio into songs!! I agree with you that whether in your car, in my MP3, at home while showering or cooking or anything, it's such a thrill to have new material from Celine.

 

The more I listen to this show, the more I appreciate the balance between songs that she's loved and sung a few times (If I can Dream, The show must go on), her own (I surrender, ANDHC...) and new stuff in line with what she does really well... I mean, her imitating the guitar at end of Prince medley reminds me of the Falling Into You tour, and Immortality and Over the rainbow are just so incredible!!!

 

I would just add Taking Chances as part of the acoustic medley. She could sing it higher than the original, in the same tone as TTWII/I'm alive (and right before I'm alive, I think!).

 

Also I would get rid of the green dress as she did on Sept 3rd, I mean 5 dresses in a show is already a lot, why 6! That way, she has enough time to keep All the Way in the show, and if that's too much, she can lip one of the other songs, she's already singing live 90% which is like in Paris and Québec in 2013

 

In the press conference she said she didn't understand how when everything goes well she puts a lot of pressure and stress on herself, and when she could be broken apart she finds inner strength. I hope this is what will happen with the next two albums: while she was happiest with her new babies, she released Sans Attendre which is to me one of her best 3 albums but lacks up-tempo songs. I hope she gets to record more up-tempo and jazz songs like Quand ça balance

I, too, would never have guessed that MHWGO would be one of the highlights, but it really is. Such a beautiful, passionate rendition each night.

 

I doubt it's James Horner she's thinking of when she sings it, though . . . I think it's Rene. "You're here/There's nothing I fear/And I know that my heart will go on. We'll stay forever this way/You are safe in my heart and/My heart will go on and on . ." Rene is with her forever; he is safe in her heart no matter what else happens.

I wonder if Rene has been able to see the show live by this point. I suspect part of the reason he wasn't there on opening night was to avoid the stress of a media frenzy, but perhaps he's been able to attend since? Even if to watch from backstage? I truly hope so.

As I said... She didnt do the high notes in I Surrender just because she didnt want to do it. Not because that part is actually Playback that didnt kick in. Celine knew that her voice is not that ready tonight to belt that high note at the opening of the show, so she didnt want to take the risk to do the high note in that circumstances that may hurt her vocal chord. That's why, I Surrender should be sang maybe in the middle of the show because her vocal chord has been warmed up from the beginning of the show and ready to belt the high note. When I Surrender is the first to sing, her vocal chord is kind of shock eventhough she had done her rehearsal and warm up before the show.

I was there that night and could clearly see her face, to me she looked and sounded as if she was overtaken with emotion. I met up with a few fans after who felt the same. I am no expert on vocals though so it's just my own opinion.
