So its not live??? I thought we had all said it was live for opening night based on the audio/videos lol did I miss something during the 48 hour power outage we had over the weekend in Vancouver?? Lol

I think it's live. Some people say the way she moved its not live cause she "lips like that". But I think it's live. You can hear her shift to a higher note to hold the note. She bends back to get more of her chest diaphragm breathing to sustain it I think!

OFFICIALLY, bringing camera's into the theatre is still not allowed. Mobile phones on the other hand are and it's much much harder to be strict on that. They still warn you when you take pictures or record video's, BUT it also depends a bit on your section. I've noticed they're stricter in Rear Orc and on the sides of Front Orch, but much less in centre Front Orch. But there are some moments in the show where they just have to let it go.... like during Immortality, Purple Rain, My Heart Will Go On and Over The Rainbow.

Well, I was there the first 3 nights and based on MY experience.... the note on the first night was different (pre-recorded IMO) than the other 2 nights. The 1st night I could clearly hear the pre-recording kicking in halfway through the note....and I also paid attention to this the other 2 nights, but didn't hear the "switch".

Yeah! That's when they went back to tit. I thought opening night was a test run or whatever to see if she could sustain it, sometimes multiple times a week. I guess she said no to live every night? Who knows lol

Sooo bored with the same live-prerecorded discussion, who cares? I don´t think a single soul attending opening (including press) might have thought any part of the concert wasn't live, all of them went home and told their families and friends how great Celine is, that's all that matters to me. Read comments and reviews.

Don't know about the first night but the second night was definitely lipped because she went flat during the a cappella section and the "big note" was suddenly back in the correct key. That's so embarrassing for a singer! Most people won't realize it but other singers will pick it up in a second and go "Oh....Wah Wah" :hmm:

Come on, it's not live guys. Celine's moves just don't add up with the sound. And it sounds auto-tuned from the beginning of the note. Raspy does not mean live, and that's how they're clever. Everything else is live and you can see the difference. The very last note is live and you see how she moves differently (for a less harder though difficult note).

They probably were filming it for a future DVD, so they used a new pre-recorded version.

live, not live, it is not the interesting thing with Celine. Those kind of notes are more for the peolple who loves the athlete in Celine. She is so much more. And i'm sure you know. You don't see that kind of gymnastic with the french songs.

Thank you, couldn't agree more.

We know she can't sing everything live, much as we wish she could, it's just not practical.

If she sang 100% live every night, especially hard notes like those in ABM, she could do some serious dammage to her voice.

I love it when I can hear that she does something different with a note that makes it sound live, but IMO it's not the end of the world.

Also, I'm not listening to a bootleg to see if she sings live or not, I'm listening to it because I enjoy her voice.

To the person who suggested creating a topic where the live/playback subject can be discussed to death, I agree. If there are people who want to analyze every single note to see if it's live or not, they should have a place where that can be done.

Yes, I wonder about it sometimes, but like I said above, it's not why I listen to the bootlegs.

I know it looks pre recorded... But it kinda sounds live to me... I won't say more cause some folks could start the argument about lipping up again. But anyways, I love how Scott was like you got this! (After the note)

That little interaction between Celine and Scott after the note is what makes me solidly believe it was live.

Honestly, from your list, the only two songs I'm disappointed weren't included in the show are "Then You Look At Me" and "Somebody Loves Somebody." Although, I'm not quite sure "disappointed" is the correct word to use. Either way, I hope both of these make an eventual appearance in the show at some point.

I hope she is careful with her "guitar solo" in Purple Rain, I can see it damaging her voice. (I hate to say it..... it is a bit grating to me )

btw did anyone notice about the water fall for MHWGO it's a little different on the opening nite, if u see the videos from youtube the opening nite one the ending part it's different to the other nite. the opening nite ending waterfall was like a wall at Celine's back but after that nite they added 2 string of waterfalls circling around Celine!! which i think i looks better!

I noticed there was a difference with the waterfall on opening night. I prefer it going around her at the end instead of just in the back

I can absolutely say with credibility that the first show was live...no question at all about it. No matter how she moved or anything else she added it was live...now the other nights were not live with that note...if I am sure of any celine performance ever being live then that one is the one I am 100 percent certain of the note being live.

No it's not live. It's a different pre-recorded track. It's not about being out-of-sync. And Celine interacted with Scott the same way in the other shows.

1: Celine's moves: We all know her playback moves. She's exaggerating so much like she got spasms. She cannot move the mic like that without her voice changing at all. We all know her live moves anyways.

2. Compare it to the difficult last note, which is live. Her posture and her head position are different. The opening of her mouth is different, because she's not hitting the big note.

3. The belt itself is two belts taken at different time and pasted to each other. You can hear it. And she just cannot sound raspy and then all the raspiness is gone in the same sustained note, without taking her breath again. That's what some people were saying here, and now that we have the video, there is just no doubt.

The only question that remains is why they only used this pre-recorded track once so far. I have my ideas but those are just speculations.

Anyways, it's something new and that's really great.

I am not a fan of the lip sync, pre-recorded note debate...everyone will have a different opinion or stance on this matter..I will say this in debate of if the ABM note was lipped or not...even if it was and I believe it was live 100 percent, atleast it was something new and fresh! It was amazing.

I think it's so sad that some people are focused on if Celine is singing Live or not. It's really sad. Celine is back, she is putting on an amazing show and this is what we are focusing on? Seriously. :rolleyes1:

It doesn't sound lipped, it doesn't look lipped. Why are people focusing on this. Just enjoy the show. I feel sad for all the people who are focusing so much time on whether Celine is singing Live or not, instead of enjoying the show and focusing all there energy on that.

I know but the most people arent even going back to the casino after the show, they have dinner haha

And 90 minutes for 500 dollar is just crazy. They could go a little easier on this

Sinatra duet in my opinion is better than the Elvis duet. I think they are still making adjustments because Caesars Palace is VERY STRICT about their 90 min time limit on shows, they don't even want the show to last 91 minutes. It's all about money for them and and they want people back out there playing BlackJack.

Exactly. We're all here because we enjoy Celine, not to analyze every single note she sings.

At least, I know that's why I'm here.

To get back to the show itself, I haven't listened to much (Yes, I know, I'm a terrible fan), but if MHWGO is any indication, opening night was spectacular.

A million thanks to Tyler, kye, and CelineForeverNY (I'm sorry but I don't know your name), for giving those of us who couldn't physically be there the chance to experience Celine's comeback with you all.

I'm sure they do. Her team is finally starting to get a clue that social media is what's hot right now. (Thanks to Aldo, I'm sure.) I doubt they watch every single video out there, but I wouldn't be surprised if they watch the ones featured here on CDF, a handful from media outlets, and those on various platforms such as Twitter/Vine/YouTube/Instagram/etc.
