"Celine" The Revamped Show

Can't say I didn't see this coming... the show had been running over a few minutes still so it makes sense they had to remove something...3 hologram songs in a row is a bit much so it's probably the easiest section to cut.

I gotta say. I will miss the song. It sounded just as good as it did when first recorded. She sounds fantastic on it now, and it was always well perceived by the audience I felt.

Holograms are nice and a very awesome effect, but I saw two shows in vegas with holograms one being Celine..and they just dont look life size..they always look smaller than how they should look. Still its a cool effect, but I agree that 3 holograms in the Celine show is a bit much

I don't lnow if you have notice guys, she sings because you loved me so differently now. It's so much better, the arrangement and the background music is just like the one you hear on record. Did you guys notice the difference. I love it so much... especially the "my voi--wwowice part" on the last part.

At least it was a cover that was cut and not "Immortality"!

They should let us know when they plan to record a dvd.
That way they can have ans in the audience and create the best vibe for a dvd.
Reserve The first 10 rows only for the fans :-)

THIS IS THE GREATEST EVER MISTAKE OUT THERE. hehe it would be disaster to put them there. We might get what would make history in the making of Celine's worst concert ever. LOL

This is purely conjecture on my part, but the three possibilities I've come up with for "All The Way" having been removed are as follows:
It's too hard for Celine to sing what with the connection she and Rene have to it.

Rene's progress has declined which has made that song too hard to sing at the moment.

Technical difficulties.
Of course, there is always the possibility of something else being the reason it was removed. Only time will tell.

Does anyone know who this woman is beside Rene?

It doesn't look like any of Celine's sisters. I thought that maybe it could be Pauline or Manon, but it doesn't really look like either of them. I don't recognize who this is. Maybe she's one of Celine's friends?

The more that I look at this, I think it's Manon. She has sunglasses on and the hair looks totally different then usual, so I think that threw me off. I think it's Manon?

If it is, she really changed her hair. Never seen her look like that before.

This is true, but then the question becomes, "Why that song?" There are many others they could have chosen from, but they picked Celine & Rene's song. I have a feeling there's more of a reason for its removal than just an overage of time.

I figure if that's true they chose All The Way out of all the covers perhaps because it was already featured as a cover in AND idk it's just my guess. It made the most sense in my head but I could be totally wrong..

Well of course they are going to keep Immortality and If I Can Dream with Elvis..so if they were going to cut on I would think it would be the Frank Sinatra one due to the other ones being more popular and she sang All The Way in A New Day but never If I Can Dream so if they are cutting it due to time and not other reasons then the Sinatra duet would be the one to go....but yeah it could also be due to personal reasons behind the scenes

I'm just guessing, but I think they removed All The Way not because it is Celine and Rene's song, but because they already have two other hologram duets and they wanted to keep the Elvis duet and Immortality because they are more fresh. Celine hasn't performed them as much.

I think the choice of removing All The Way was more of a smart business move for the show and not because of Rene's health changing or anything like that. Aldo seems to be a smart man and wants to please the audience. The choice to remove All The Way was probably made because Celine has already performed that song many times in the past, whereas the Elvis duet was only performed once on American Idol and was very well received by not only Celine fans, but the public.

Immortality is also a song that has been received well by the fans and the public, but hasn't been performed much on stage, so I think it's all about keeping things fresh and pleasing the fans that they made this choice. 1 song had to be eliminated for time and I think this was the most logical choice, given the fact that they already have other holograms in the show that are fresher and could please a wider variety of people overall.

there are some Celine germs that should be used in her repertory

the first English years were neglect by her team after 96/97, i have hope that Aldo will do something for that and bring some classics back

I am so over the moon with this show! I really don't care if she changes a thing. I think she enjoys the French jazz, Quand ca Balance. What a change and breathe of fresh air and energy from NMQP! I LOVE it!

I hope she is careful with her "guitar solo" in Purple Rain, I can see it damaging her voice. (I hate to say it..... it is a bit grating to me )

I dont think that "guitar solo" kind of thing could damage her voice because it is one of her exercise during vocal warmup.

All the way was dedicated to Rene for openingnight. It might be a very emotional song for her to sing, so it was then that it worked and for that moment she sang it for him. I think that is the reason for cutting that song.

During AND quite often IIC was dropped cos she was late on stage etc. I remember the show was meant to start at 8.30 and it didn't start until 8.50. So IIC was dropped.

They are always certain songs that can be dropped purely for this reason. They'll know a third of the way through the show if it needs to be cut.

Personally I think it's either the screen etc wasn't working for the Sinatra imaging or celine was late on stage etc - which I think was more likely lol.

We'll have to see if the song reappears!

It's funny because they kept the 'I've never done a duet with myself....' line in the show. I guess they thought no one saw the first run of Celine! :laugh:

Well we shouldn't jump to conclusions THAT fast. We can say that's it's been cut if she doesn't do it during the next show. I think it's far too important for Celine to cut and I think it was just some technical issue. We'll see.
