"Celine" The Revamped Show

So odd question but I'm just on instagram right now checking out pics and just wondering I thought Celine doesn't do meet and greets for this show so how do all these people get to meet her backstage? Can anyone enlighten me???

 

 

Celine does do meet and greets for this new show, as far as I know anyways. Celine did do meet and greets for the previous Celine show before her break, so I'm pretty sure she still does them for this new show.

 

I have even seen what looks to be meet and greet pics on instagram that are recent pictures, so as far as I know she still does them. If you notice, the instagram pics have the same background with the date the pictures were taken as previous m&g pics have. You can tell the pictures are taken professionally, so that leads me to believe that they must be from a meet and greet.

 

I don't know how they get the pictures. I think it's just pure luck. Being at the right place at the right time. I think if you run into Patrick, Scott Price, Barnev or someone from Celine's team of people, I think that is how you would get your foot in the door to get those pictures. You have to know when to be there and you probably have to be standing in a certain spot, waiting for that certain someone from her team to walk by.

Well if they still want more uptempo I wonder why they didn't want Celine to sing Unison :hmm: That would be so cool!

 

 

Scott wants to change the show every run (they're still even tweaking it now, as they only had so little time to rehearse and Céline was on fire the whole time..so some stuff were last minute additions). So anything'ss really possible atm ;)

 

That sounds GREAT! :w00t: I just hope they will replace covers rathen than original Celine songs (if they cut Immortality or anything from the acoustic medley I'll be furious!). I wonder which songs were last minute additions... :hmm:

 

Yeah I agree extend the medley and they could add misled for her to end on " your seriously misled " :P

 

 

Haha everybody is talking about extending the medley :D Darren, you should let Aldo know that we would love to hear longer versions of ANDHC/TTWII/IA :innocent:

 

Well Misled would be nice but don't know if it fits the show's message.

Very late to the party, but... Did someone record a full bootleg of the opening night show? I can only find video clips and there's 72 pages in this thread to browse... ;)

I think if we are going to talk about changes to the setlist, it would be beneficial to keep each song's theme in mind, as well as the theme of "Celine." Seeing as how the new theme of the show is obviously a dedication to and celebration of Rene, songs such as "Think Twice" and "Misled" just won't fit. (Though, personally, I would LOVE for them to be added.)

 

Some songs that could work with the theme are:

I'm truly amazed that she sings LIVE so much, and big songs like I Surrender and MHWGO and all... I honestly didn't think we'd see something like that before the end of her carreer.

 

BUT.

 

For the first time in her carreer, Celine is using Auto-Tune live. And I mean, LIVE, not in post prod like in DVDs or things like that. The big notes in I Surrender, the 100% live ABM note from the first night, and many other long and sustained notes are heavily auto-tuned. That's why it sounds so polished and perfect (tho very unnatural), even if she is singing them truly live.

 

For me, this is still a lot better than playbacking everything, it leaves a lot more room to be creative than lipping on a pre-recorded track.

 

If she's using auto tune it was DEFINITELY left behind by Shania Twain's team 😁

never heard before about live auto tune,that's a disaster if it's true,that means that anyone would be able to be a proffecional singer

They're good. They're really good. And once again... Scott Price is amazing. "Show Must Go On" is amazing...better than the TC tour version. And you can also hear some slight changes in her older hits. This was needed...

On a side topic related to celine/autotune/shania twain...I dont believe Celine uses any autotune in her live performances..but shania twain most certainly did...look at her bootleg clips from vegas and her world tour..she sounds not great, but then on her official las vegas dvd release every single song is autotuned and sounds great. Shanias live dvd from vegas is highly autotuned to make it sound like she did 10 years ago without any pitch problems but if you watch clips on youtube she cannot sing like she used to. Celine might use some playback such as in WDMHBN, IACBTMN, POL and TSMGO ending but never autotune...atleast not when you are watching her live

I thought a seen a picture with the chandelier from last week somewhere in the show?!?

 

I have watched and listened loads to "is" from this revamped show and it's a great song but it's not a great arrangement and she's not performing it to its full potential... It's probably the worst opening song she's ever used in a show in my opinion.

 

I hope aldo plans to replace it!

I agree with you completely, and really meant my comment about Shania to be more humorous than anything. Her auto tune is like an elephant in the room.

 

I watched some of her LA tour stop videos on YouTube and it sounds like she's really struggling. I love Shania a lot, one of my top favorites, but her voice has really changed. Celine has really managed to preserve her voice against time, to an impressive degree.

They still have the chandelier, they just use it later in the show. It came down for Purple Rain and looked AMAZING with the purple lighting and raindrops in the background.

Yeah sorry that's what I meant in the sense that you can't purchase the meet and greets anymore like with other artists. Sorry should have specified that but your right! :)

Sadly, Shania's voice is not due to lack of preservation or misuse or abuse of technique. She went through a personal struggle that stressed out her entire body and left her without the ability to sing. It's very sad because Shania truly is an amazing talent.

Talked to Aldo today!

 

He asked what i thought of Purple Rain with a big smile on his face.

 

 

Well... he can surely say that with 32 teeth :-D cause Purple Rain is one of my very favourite moments of the show!!! :wub:

I think that the song fits perfectly with Céline voice!!!! And then the purple scenography, with THE CHANDELIER (yes guys!!! It is still there!!!! :wub: ), Céline dress is amazing (is my favourite after MHWGO's dress!!!), the guitarist, and when the audience turn the lights on.... it's magical and I love it... very elegant and classy (as always!!!).

 

Really really good job!!! By the way!!!! For me the Aldo passed the test!!!! New management approved!!!! :thumbsup2:

My favourite part of the press conference is when she remembers the first time she went to Las Vegas, when she and her parents said "where are we going, we are lost, it's dark!" and Rene answered " No no no no wait... you'll see, you'll see the diamonds!!!" "Here it is!!!!" And you could see that little shiny little diamond on the right inside of the oblo of the airplane!! "This is Las Vegas!!!!"

WDMHBN, BYLM, IACBTMN, TPOL, TFTEISYF, BATB, ANDHC, TTWII, IA, LCMM, and RDMH are all incomplete.

Actually after listing to purple rain I discovered that a song can play a very big role on how the voice apear in the end,what I mean is that celine rock and roll voice that I actually love and adore apear clearly in songs like purple rain and kiss as well,also if u remember your light and women in me as well ,I like that kind of songs and attitude more than songs like AND and TTWI,in purple rain I feel like I'm listing to a song that she's singing in 1992 ,her voice is the same ,she should sing more of these songs really
