"Celine" The Revamped Show

well now my review after listened to all 3 shows bootleg and watched many youtube videos

the come back premiere is really really special and emotional... like so many got goosebumps and tears listen to the songs

glad that i wasn't able to go in a way, as I don't think i would be able to hold back my tears at all... would be a mess...... lol

 

as some said it is one of her best show and probably the most important one (the come back premiere)

for the setlist i would probably give around 7.5 to 8 out of 10 , vocal 10 / 10 overall i would say 8.5 to 9 out of 10! (for premiere)

other nite i would probably give 8 to 8.5 / 10

The dresses well i would give probably just 7 to 7.5 out of 10 as you can compare them with the signature pic i made, the original one i prefer it alot better as they are more elegant, the new dresses i do like are the black one with stars on side and the green one, also the prince medley one is not bad too!

 

and yes i am like many that think the setlist can improve

opening the show with IS mmm a bit strange / weird, open arms suits alot better, for me maybe something mid to uptempo like SLS, LMBTL or The Power Of Love it would suit the show (I know they used it for FIY tour) and move IS to a later section of the show

IACBTMN / TPOL maybe change TPOL to TLYM if TPOL is the opening song otherwise it's fine

for the Jazz interlude not so sure what to think of it.... Mr Paganini and Quand ca balance goes well together

TFTEISYF very touching although not a big fan of the song but i do like the new way Celine sings it

like many i don't like Barnev's new solo song..... i actually prefer Spinning Wheel better, at least it's more catchy and fun, but i would prefer if they use Celine's song and maybe let Elise sing the song

Love the hologram section! Immortality a surprise and it's so good, ATW mmm not a big big fan as probably heard it too much from AND and so love IICD

unplugged section loving it!!! just wish each song is a bit longer

for Incredible well i prefer the older version.... this new one is like missing something would so replace it with something uptempo!

for Unison to RDMH, Love Unison and yes would love Celine to sing it too!!! but u know what i think they should do a mashup of Unison and LCMM or Unison and another Celine song

ABM amazing as always but the come back premiere it's really something!!

TSMGO love it it's even better than TC tour version!!!

Prince Medley really surprised! but in a way people would think why Prince.. lol

MHWGO love the new version so much!!! but but why delay like 1second for "you're here there's nothing i fear" the premiere is fine but it seems like now it's gonna be like this every night... not so sure about this... maybe just need to used to it...... still think it would be amazing to use the soundtrack version maybe not the long mmm ending

Over The Rainbow it's really something very emotional ! many suggest TCOML i would agree that would fit perfectly but i'm not totally sure if Celine can sing this song every night without getting really emotional.....

Greetings Celine Cool Cats! Checking in after having the pleasure of seeing the revamped show Saturday night... Here's a tale for you...

 

I was in Vegas for a friend's pre-wedding party and it was KILLING me that it was scheduled for celine's return weekend... meaning I knew I'd be in Vegas, but with other solid plans and no hope of seeing the show... AND THEN... it turns out that plans with my group changed and suddenly Saturday night was open.

 

What else to do but at least HANG at Casear's and soak up the vibe, vi$it the boutique(!) and enjoy the energy, even if from outside the venue (sigh...). meanwhile, earlier that day, i had reached out to patrick angelil, who -- like rene -- has always treated me with such kindness and respect from the billboard days... we spoke quickly in the afternoon, i explained that i was spontaneously in vegas and asked if there was a prayer of a chance that there might be a pair of tix.. he told me he was "on the phone" with a thousand things going on at once... i kinda sorta took that that meant i wasn't likely to hear back from patrick...

 

so i sat with my fellow wedding friend cara (a french canadian who adores celine) sighing and sighing... meanwhile, i ran into three CD forum members, which was awesome!!! had some lovely conversations!

 

and then my cell phone rang... AT 7:15!!!! patrick came through with two tix at will call... and we dashed into the theatre just before show time. i vamoosed to get those tickets with tears streaming down my eyes. seriously.

 

what a night!!! i was so thrilled to be part of the new memories i've been reading about here...

My friend and I were driving to vegas the day of opening night very excited and anxious contemplating on what new songs were added, changes etc. and she hoped she would open with The Show Must Go On, at first i was kinda eh about the whole thing BUT after imagining the dramatic music as the curtains open right in the middle to show Celine. Celine singing the first few lines and them as soon as "THE SHOW MUST GO ON" *queue back curtain drop and lights* just gavvvve me goosebumps! I also wished for her to sing I surrender which by the way as soon as i heard the first few nots i LITERALLY started CRYING MY EYES OUT! I've been wanting to hear that live for so long. I mean we both got our wishes! but now i do think TSMGO would've been an amazing opener. thoughts on this?

I wonder what time Robin Leach is gonna post his Q&A. I remember with Shania it was around 2pm. I'm REALLY hoping he asked her bout the dvd like I told him. That way we can get a more definite answer not that the Caesars employee isn't reliable but it would be nice to hear it from Celine's mouth

I wonder why they didn't release a bonus dvd with the recording sessions for LMBTL or Sans attendre. This is what fans really want to see, the behind the scenes! Aldo, take care of that please

Just got back home,

My favs: I Surrender is my favorite song, my #1! Love It! There were slight differences for the Saturday show, so for those who say it's not live well maybe she recorded two different tracks and switches them, Hmph!....... I don't care, sounds live to me!

The unplugged medley, OMG! Love it, she loves it!

Immortality, sooooo good! My concern is that people are literally mobbing her, that needs to stop before she pulls the plug on going into the audience. (just my thoughts of course)

Mr. Paganini, so glad it stayed! Love it!

Princes "Kiss" I never liked the song when Prince did it (I don't particularly care for Prince....) but she is having so much fun with it, soooo flirty! Love it! Love the wardrobe for it also, my fav I think! Although the green dress is growing on me!

Purple Rain, well this is honestly The only Prince song that I stop to listen to. Like it, but she doesn't use her normal voice.....

I still don't know why there is a Prince tribute though Maybe it's their thing though?

Show is over. Celine waa great. Must say the prince medley is a total highlight for me. Also must admit she's making me like rdmh again, she's playing with some parts and I'm liking it!! Over the rainbow was best tonight. Idk what else to say honestly in my head the last few days are all merging together lol. But bootleg coming soon!!

Thank you so much for everything that you've done to be able to get these shows for us. It's truly appreciated especially since so many of us were not able to make the show. Good Karma is certainly on it's way to you after this good deed!

Yes - basically all the song choices make sense to me as a celebration of her & Rene - the Prince part is the only part I don't get - but she has so much fun with it that I don't care!
