Never thought I'd say this, but bring back the TTEOTW video!

It actually brought some excitement to the curtain dropping.

 

I agree, I thought to be nice, to refrain from even saying anything about it, but since I'm not the only one!

 

It's terrible, I don't like at all, I think If they really wanted a video, they should've shown a video of Celine and Rene's love story throughout the years, and big career moments for Celine like her winning awards with Rene by her side through it all, with " The Color of My Love" playing would have worked so well for this show.

The opening video is fun and it is nice to see many fans from around the world, but the first video had a little bit more depth and spark. The current video is a heavily edited version of IDAN down to two minutes and then it just stops and the curtain opens. The first video had a story and a bit more meaning than the current one. I get that they wanted to show loyal fans excited to see her return, but I would have thought they would have added a bit more to the opening. The red balloon bit was cute..but it amounted to nothing..nothing in relation to the show or by the request for every fan to do it. Just something fun to add to the song I guess. I guess I expected more from the opening video compared to the last one with Celine ending her tour, talking about taking time off, showing the world tour end and then showing her return to Las Vegas..it really built the beginning of the show up compared to the current video. Kinda falls flat compared to the way it was started before. With that said I LOVE seeing all the fans and it was very entertaining to see the creative ways everyone added to the song..just expected something more than a 2 minute video to pair with Celines big reveal

While I agree with you... I think her team/Celine has realized they don't have to "prove" themselves with a video before she comes out. when the curtain opens, the crowd goes nuts! It's amazing! She's famous!

The yellow reminded me of old glamour, very graceful and flowing. It was very pretty. The green was a bit much for me, maybe it was the black anklet boots that threw me off. Also I didn't care for that much fringe, the belt was a bit much, maybe because it was so wide? Maybe it was that particular color green that I didn't care for? I can't seem to nail it down. Lol.

Well, green is my favorite color, and I love her in Balmain, so it's just a win all around for me lol

Just to chime in...I was hesitant when I heard about the fan videos for IDAN, but after actually seeing it in person, I thought it was absolutely awesome! I loved it way better than the previous video they used. You could hear the audience chuckle at certain people during the video, it was cute.

 

And thanks again Tyler for recording 3 shows for us! That is absolutely awesome and I really appreciate it!

I think she used the hand signals in the past when he would say something in her ear piece to respond. I think the reality is Rene is too ill and wasn't communicating to Celine through the earpiece which is why she didn't respond.

Much more relaxed. The ushers say no videos, and just no flash photography--, but flashes off and it's okay. You cannot bring in an actual camera. But, if you turn the flash off your phone, you can use that. People all over were taking photos, and no one was stopped (they talked to a few people and had them put phones down, but maybe they suspected them of recording the show).

 

There is an announcement before the show starts that says no video and no photography. Period. But, that isn't what the ushers are telling people now. So, that announcement was ignored and the ushers didn't stop people from taking occasional photographs as long as the flash was off.

Loved watching this again. I noticed a difference in Sunday's performance. Here in the vid she turns towards the back of the theater and sings for a few moments before descending towards stage. Sunday she descended right away. This is a damn shame! Considering I was about 8 or 10 feet away from the standing position.

It's probably because of security reasons. She was getting mobbed during the first two performances. When I was there opening night, some lady ran right up to her and kissed her. Luckily, the lady didn't try anything crazy and Celine was okay with it...

At least Celine seems human around her fans in the audience, Mariah Carey barely goes in the audience and when she does, Don't dare interrupt the Her Highness or one of her 8 body guards will throat kick you. Just saying lol, I've heard stories of Ms. Carey lets just say she lives up to the word "Diva".

I don't know how on earth she can stand straight up looking into everyone's faces, singing, trying to walk down dragging a long dress in heels all at the same time, and watch where she is stepping. No way! If she tripped along that railing, which is narrow and the hard backed seats next to it and broke something, or smacked her head or landed wrong and broke ribs or bones it would be a nightmare. And the show would not go on, just saying. It's too risky, nice idea, but too risky.

After listening to the show several times I agree the Prince medley isn't my thing, River Deep needs to go, I love Tina to death but that cover has been run into the ground. I'd still love to have a rendition of Simply The Best put in the show, almost like a thank you to Rene for being the best. I wouldn't mind having the covers set up like an acoustic set, let her chose a few of her favorites and have her talk about a reason as to why she finds these songs so special. All in all though, this is definitely a show I would see live.
