Ok, I may get backlash from this, but I just don't like the opening dress. I don't think it fits her well. Don't roast me please

 

I'm not a fan of it either. I don't particularly care for how there looks to be a seam around her mid section creating this illusion that the dress was made in 2 pieces and sewn together. It also kind of bunches up at that section I'm talking about. The color and embellishments are gorgeous. The silhouette is not so great.

I don't like the idea of her walking through people ,cause it's a very touching song And that takes from the emotion by people trying to take a selfie and so on

Now that I think about it, I'm kind of glad in a way that Rene didn't come to the premiere. His immune system is low right now and I don't think it would be good for him to go out in a huge crowed like that. God forbid he catches a cold. Something like that would not be good for him right now. Something as simple as a cold could possibly kill him. I hate to say that, but it's true.

 

I don't think he needs to be risking his health further by going to a concert right now. Maybe that is the main reason he decided not to come to the concert. I know he isn't feeling well and that's why he wasn't there, but I wouldn't be surprised if Celine talked him out of coming and told him to stay home because she didn't want him to catch anything from someone.

 

There is alot of people in that theater. Something like 4,500 people. That's alot of possible germs to catch. I for one hope that Rene doesn't come to the show for awhile. Atleast until his system is stronger and able to handle that type of thing. At this moment I think it's just to risky.

 

I also think Celine should cut that duet from the show where she goes through the audience because that is also putting Rene's health in danger. People touch her and even recently I saw someone on here say that someone ran up to Celine and kissed her. What if that person had a cold. Celine could bring those germs home and carry them onto Rene.

 

It needs to be taken out of the show. Especially now that things are starting to get out of hand with security stepping in and people crowding around Celine not letting her get back onto the stage. It's getting crazy and risky for Rene, but also for Celine aswell. There could be some crazy person in the audience one day. I strongly hope that they decide to remove it.

 

I hate to say that because it is a really cool part of the show and a really special way to interact with Celine. I will always remember when Celine walked passed me and she touched my hand and looked into my eyes like I was her best friend. I would hate for someone to not get to experience that aswell.

 

I just think it's to risky. Risky for Rene's health right now and also risky for Celine's safety. I wouldn't be surprised if Celine is having this very same conversation with her team right now.

NEWS FROM LAS VEGAS: Caesars employee told me that a DVD for the show is being contemplated. May be filmed professionally this year. Only a rumor at this point.

It's probably because of security reasons. She was getting mobbed during the first two performances. When I was there opening night, some lady ran right up to her and kissed her. Luckily, the lady didn't try anything crazy and Celine was okay with it...

I don't know if I could hold myself back if I could reach out and touch her and get touched back but seriously I get you. It's a bad thing now... Something could get spread to Rene if somebody's sick!

The premiere was a really great concert! I'm still recovering from listening to the bootlegs from each night. Nevertheless, I have several thoughts about them.

 

The show is still rather low-tempo, quite heavy actually and a little bit sad. We all know the circumstances but there could be more positive vibe.

 

They said they're gonna bring back more Celine's hits and ok they brought IS, I, ATW, TFTEISYF, ANDHC, TTWII and IA. But why have they included so many covers? I mean I'd be ok even with the covers provided that her original songs aren't shortened. And actually not only are the new songs shortened (especially the acoustic medley), but also so are the old show songs (WDMHBN, TPOL, BYLM, LCMM, RDMH, IACBTMN). So almost each Celine song is shortened while the covers are sung in full, I don't get it.

 

From the covers, I really like If I Can Dream and new arrangements of The Show Must Go On. But I'd really be able to live without them. But those 2 are really outstanding. Others are really too much. Prince medley, regardless how well she sounds and how she nails it, is just too much. The ending is not Celinish at all. I mean we have only MHWGO at the end!

 

I'm so so SO sick of Barnev segments, I'm ok with him when he sings with Celine but to have 2 individual segments of his is just too much. All the singers when they change costumes use THEIR songs as well, so why not Celine? Why does it have to always be a cover?

 

As for LMBTL album, I'm really disappointed. I know why they kept Incredible and it could be there if more songs are included, but no other? so counted on SLS

 

Now going song by song:

 

IS - I'm happy that IS is back though I'm not sure whether it should be the opener or not. It's somehow heavy and very powerful but maybe too serious for the beginning. I mean OA was quite light, positive attitude and fresh. And now we go from IDAN to a very serious song. Very dramatic to start a show. I’d put it in place of ABM. But, of course, the performance is breathtaking! And I love the fact that she does it differently each night! I was surprised that we had IS during AND and now even more, so Rene must like it somehow and I’m glad:)

 

WDMHBN/BYLM/IACBTMN/TPOL – Nothing special, they could have mix it a little bit more, or do this part differently musically/vocally etc. Her voice is stunning of course.

 

Interlude – I’m so tired of weird interludes

 

Mr Paganini / Quand ça balance – I like the way she plays with the song but I still think it should have been dropped, it doesn’t fit the show. It was nice before but now they should really keep to the original songs. Of course it goes well with the French song because they are both jazz songs. But the French song is just so weird. Doesn't fit the show at all. She has so many better songs. And if she wanted to pay tribute to Eddy she could have chosen her song written by him, as she said he wrote her tons of songs! This section : out!

 

TFTEISYF – Nice to have it back! And the footage is so touching!

 

BATB – hmm she sings it differently, that’s nice

 

Interlude – Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawful, yeah Spinning wheel is no longer here, but now we’ve got a new awful wheel, too much Barnev

 

Immortality – Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooove it :wub: :blush: , a big surprise, so happy that she walks through the audience, she sounds flawlessly, it’s just heaven, the long note awwwwwwww That’s why they should bring back MORE HER SONGS. This is why we love her! There is only one thing that I don’t really like, when she speaks after the song that it’s the first time she’s done a duet with herself, she HAS done one already...

 

ATW – I expected that, it’s always nice but didn’t surprise me

 

IICD – I loved it when she did for the first time on American Idol and it’s really outstanding during the show. Although, I’d rather she did more of her songs because I could live without IICC but I’m glad that she chose that rather than another random cover.

 

ANDHC/TTWII/IA – Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: I still find the show very heavy and low-tempo even though they said they would go with more up-tempo. Acoustic medley is the only uptempo part which is the best thing they've done for the show (I don't count LCMM/RDMH). It's so uplifting, so magical. I'm in love with it. But why is it SO SO SO short? They deserve to be sung in full. And you how much fun people are having? It's definitely the highlight of the show! The best addition they've done. This should be the uptempo part of the show not LCMM/RDMH old story… I can't stop listening to it. All day long since Friday! :clap: :clap: Got addicted what can I say

 

Incredible – I think they should really work on it more, it does sound flat but it has its potential. I think there is something wrong with the arrangements/rhythm. If not, choose another LMBTL song!

 

Unison – What a surprise!!!! What a bigger surprise that she doesn’t do it Why bother then? Why bring it and not sing it? I mean all of the interludes should include her songs but if they don’t and they bring such on old song, she should really do it and move LCMM as an interlude.

 

LCMM/RDMH – I know that we will never say goodbye to LCMM and that’s ok, but RDMH should be cut immediately!!!

 

ABM – the same goes for ABM, it’s totally out of place after uptempo medley and costume change, it’s boring, no matter how well it’s sung. But I have a decent suggestion what could be sung here…

 

TSMGO – I’m not happy about the covers at all but besides IICD this one was greatly prepared. It’s something different though old. And it fits the circumstances. But it should be the last song before MHWGO

 

Interlude – Another pointless interlude, some of you said finally something modern? but does it really fit here? why does she even has to change for two more songs? and more Barnev. I’m ok when he sings in the duets. But it’s just too much.

 

Prince Medley – Yes, it is jaw-dropping how she sings but I don’t get why it is included at all. It’s very random and people could have fun with Celine’s original songs as well. In my opinion since TSMGO we have too many covers (take into consideration that they included several songs in the interlude) and it’s like we’re no longer on Celine Dion’s concert. And then to come back only with MHWGO? I really miss Celine at the end.

 

MHWGO – as far as the old catalogue and the old show are concerned, this is the biggest surprise and the most magical moment (besides acoustic medley). Nobody expected THAT! Totally in love with it again .The premiere performance is just her best performance ever. I love how she plays with it, finally gives emotions to it and it’s just above the perfection. It’s been brought to the whole new level.

 

SOTR – It’s touching but it’s so depressing. Just as Darren said, I’m surprised that TCOML didn’t make the list. It could have been perfect for the encore. I think they should do more positive songs during this show. The ending is amazing but extremely sad.

 

Some improvements I'd make... That would be a real come back to the originals with realistic choice of her songs. And before anyone says that TPOL is a cover too. There is a difference between TPOL and Kiss, right? No more comments about that.

Nope concert wise. Saw the opening with Celine standing there. Bit of first part of IS,few lines of Incredible, and few lines of RDMH. Nothing new. Have to see what tomorrow's part includes. 2 parts on tomorrow's show!

bring Think Twice in the show instead of incredible. And if incredible stays, - the cdsound must be in it, not these dull drums and too loud backgroundsingers. It just does not have that impact the song has on the studio recording
