I'm truly amazed that she sings LIVE so much, and big songs like I Surrender and MHWGO and all... I honestly didn't think we'd see something like that before the end of her carreer.

BUT.

For the first time in her carreer, Celine is using Auto-Tune live. And I mean, LIVE, not in post prod like in DVDs or things like that. The big notes in I Surrender, the 100% live ABM note from the first night, and many other long and sustained notes are heavily auto-tuned. That's why it sounds so polished and perfect (tho very unnatural), even if she is singing them truly live.

For me, this is still a lot better than playbacking everything, it leaves a lot more room to be creative than lipping on a pre-recorded track.

How was the audience compared to the previous two shows?

The audience for the opener was alive and on fire! for the Saturday show still kickin' but not as loud.

One little irritating thing happened to me on Saturday, some woman told me to sit down because she couldn't see  :wtf: ................... I told her she was at a concert and told her she should try standing! :shakemyhead:

I prefer that dress to the yellow one of the show just fitting her so much

Anyone have any idea when next year's tickets will be released? When were these ones released?

Just got back home. I have nothing else to compare as I have never seen her live before. First, yes she was having probs with the earthingy's. The audience? Well, we were on fire tonight. Hot damn! High energy vibe going back to her plus standing ovations up the wazhoo, to the point that we refused to let poor woman sing! Every chance we got we stood, clapped, sang along and overall cheered her like it was the Superbowl. When she sang the Beauty and the Beast duo, imo, the mic's were able to pick up a whisper, so as powerful as both of them are the reverb was bugging them and you could see a wicked smile pass between them both and he toned it down a notch.

She came through our main aisle, which is the aisle that cross sects the entire theater, she turned to go down the aisle towards the stage. I turned my head and there she was not 8 feet from me. My mouth was agape, my eyeballs like dinner plates and I was frozen in place! They mobbed her so bad, with selfies and pawing her to the point she could not get past half way down the aisle. Two security guys were in place by then, two seats from me. They couldn't make up their minds if they were going to extract or not. A couple of false starts on their part, and I'm thinking, holy crap on toast! Somebody needs to get in there and haul her arse out for her own good.

It was the most amazing experience of my life. Probably never to be repeated again, but at least I will have a wicked grin on my face for-evah! Her voice was amazing. Her presence the ultimate. Over The Rainbow has never been sung quite as beautiful as I heard tonight...not ever. Her rendition is beyond anything anyone could ever produce again. I teared up so many times my glasses were bobbing up and down on my nose throughout the evening. She choked up at the end of Rainbow and hurried off stage. I have finally gotten to grovel at the feet of my hero, and will never forget it. Now, I go back to worship from afar.

About the mobbing her part, yes it's true. The audience never did that at the first "Celine" show. They were polite and held out their hands but they didn't mob her. I think she will stop the audience part if it continues. Or I could be totally wrong and she likes it??? :giggle:

I'm so happy to hear "Unison" again in a Céline show in 2015 that I don't mind if she doesn't sing it herself !

Yeah, Elise and Dawn sound great and give it energy! I think they enjoy being a part of the intermissions because it was just Barnev in the first run of the show. It is good to hear it get attention again! This was the song that I discovered Celine with  so Unison has a special place in my heart. I do wish she would sing it also.

Talked to Aldo today!

He is really really nice!

Said to him that we are happy with the show, that she is singing more of her own songs, older songs, that we love the acoustic medley, we were wanting that for so long. That she sounded great, the arrangements are wonderfull, that she plays more with the songs etc.

He asked what i thought of Purple Rain with a big smile on his face.

Then he asked me what other artists i listen to, i named a few.

Then he asked me what i thought of Sam Smith....

And I thought okaayy i see where this is going to...

So i told him that we are dying to have a duet with Sam Smith.

That most of her duets are with older men. (He was smiling from ear to ear)

So basically the billboard top 40 men he replied... Like Ed Sheeran?

That was most of our talk. I really really think he is a good manager for celine and really listen to us.

I dont know how, but i think we should sent him a decent wishlist...

I had so many other suggestions wich I forgot, example the first 5 rows just for fans, meet&greets especially for fans who travel all the way to vegas.

Etc etc etc so anybody who meets him... Tell him!! Haha

Wow! This is wonderful and interesting news! Thanks!

I'm not sure on I Surrender anymore! I think 27th and 30th were lipped from the first chorus up until the 'Right here, right now' section. They're practically identical, with notable moments like the growl leading into the second chorus to the pause in the big note. Where as the 29th sounded 100% live throughout. Either way though, I'm just glad its in the show. Lyrically, it's just the perfect opener to this show.

Some old crone did that to me at a Cher concert of all places. "I CAN'T SEE!" she yelled at me, my mom and a friend. I turned around and said, "we paid $250 for our tickets too. It's also a Cher concert...she's wouldn't expect us to sit down either."

Yeah, I agree about the mobbing. The audience was so rude. It's ridiculous. In the original run of "Celine," she took her time walking down the aisle. She would shake some hands, or just kind of move past people. But, she was calm during that part of the show (she gave interviews about being nervous about it, but it never really showed during the performance).

Not at all what is happening now.

As soon as her hologram came up on Saturday, people in the audience were looking for her. As soon as someone spotted her, they clapped. Once that happened, from where I was sitting, I could see that before she even had her cue, so before the light was even on her, she booked it down the aisle and was a good ways down before her cue came on. But, by then it was too late. She was mobbed and couldn't get back by the stage. Two of security guards were walking behind her, and two guards from Caesar's Palace were behind them. But, they were all basically paid to do nothing at first because they just watched the mob form. Once it formed, they moved down as quick as the good and just moved people on their way up. At that point, she could actually get back to the stage.

If people do not stop, I agree that they will cut it from the show. At this point, it is more like a sprint before her cue to even move comes on at all. Or her security should actually stop it from happening and remove people from the show that mob her. If she didn't mind it, I doubt she would go so quickly in this show (especially when you compare it to her last run of the show).

When you think of Rene trying to get his strength and fight, and people just not caring about hanging on her (what if they have a cold, or were just by someone who had a flu) and then they are just letting her pass that on into the house. Plus, given how quickly she was trying to get to the stage, people had to realize she didn't like it. Anyway. All around bad form. I agree she will cut it if people do not stop.

On the plus: in this new run, photos without flash are allowed. In the past whenever I was seated, the ushers said no videos, no photography allowed. This time, they said no videos, and just no flash photography (if flash was off, it was fine). The announcement came on and said no videos or photography, but that isn't what people are being told when they are seated. So, everyone was taking photos (not to the point of it being annoying, I mean people were still discrete). I just thought people may like to know that photos are allowed (I do not think you can bring in an actual camera though. So, you can only use your phone).
