"Encore Un Soir" album - Official Topic

All we know, and all we need to know right now is that the album has been postponed. Anticipation is not dwindling, as we are all still here talking about it. We never actually had a confirmed single date, as it was only in ONE tabloid article, and we don't even know if Aldo actually spoke to this publication. La Presse has also removed the article without printing a retraction. That right there tells me that the news was both not official and untrue. Things have take a different course, and we are not owed anything. Plus, I wouldn't want any kind of update unless it's at least 90%. Not just something for the sake of it.

 

P.S. In a previous post, you were saying that you weren't saying that the management was poor. Now you are. So which side of the fence are you sitting on?

So basically you were the only one in this forum who was certain the release was a fake made up date by ONE tabloid? Everyone here and everyone outside of here thought that was the release date, to say otherwise the day of has no weight in any aspect. What is up with all of those OWING? Nobody owes anybody anything, I don't understand the infatuation with that word but I guess.

 

Lastly, images not sitting one the side of ANY fence. I said her team's management is poor and I never said that it wasn't. I said CELINE'S tour willing be successful and the album sales willing exceed a million. Where does that scream "HER MANAGEMENT IS GREAT"!?

I'd be really surprised if they announce anything for this album before the tour. It's great she's touring and doing the residency and releasing a new album and possibly new merchandise lines (I'd love a clothing or make-up line) 2016 can really be her year. She's certainly going to sell over a million copies with this album and the tour/Residency is sure to surpass the $100,000,000 mark! She'll perform her 1,000th show in Vegas. It's alot going on really, but the album, still needs some pushing I think.

I sure hope the setlist is not the same as in 2013. What if a dvd will be made of this tour..the same songs again ? Then why even buying that when there is a tourdvd of quebec from 2013? It just can't be the same setlist... that is why they might surprise us with new (older) songs and possibly some new songs:) just keep beeing optimistic:rolleyes:

Celine and family/colleagues are, of course, allowed to grieve and not concentrate on work related activities. However, there should be people in place who aren't affected so deeply by recent events who can take care of basic PR and promo work. For example, yes, I talk about audio videos until I'm blue in the face, but they are highly popular and are used frequently on social media to promote artists' works. It wouldn't take Celine, or even Aldo, to create them and post them. They should be getting people together to create ones for songs such as:

• "With This Tear" (due to Prince's recent and sad passing)
  
• "The Reason" (one of Celine's favorites, as well as for the fans. Also, connection to Carole King, as well as the late Sir George Martin)
  
• "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" (the current video has applause noise not all need to hear)
  
• "Taking Chances" (the music video has dialogue and other audio only for the video which is not part of the song)
  
• "Falling Into You" (same reason for "Taking Chances")
  
• "I Knew I Loved You" (due to the recent Rene montage)
  
• "The Colour Of My Love" (Celine's dedication of love to Rene song)
  
• "All The Way" (Duet With Frank Sinatra) (Celine & Rene's song)
  
• "Trois heures vingt" (Was one of the songs Rene picked for his "send off")
  
• "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" (Family reasons)
  
• "God Bless America" (so people can share it during the anniversary of 9/11. People would probably use it for Independence Day in the U.S., too.)
  
• "My Heart Will Go On" (There is currently an audio video for this song uploaded to her channel, but it is only available in random countries outside the U.S. for some odd reason)
  
• "Nothing Broken But My Heart (Album Version)" (A #1 single. Only the music video/radio edit version is available. The longer version would be nice to share.)
  
• "Ce n'etait qu'un reve" (Her very first single. An obvious song which should be made available on her Vevo and YouTube channels.)
  
• "A Song For You" (A song which was called a "gem" on the "Behind The Scenes" DVD for "Taking Chances.")
  
• "Vole" (A song written specifically for a loved one - Karine.)
  
• "Unfinished Songs" (should have been uploaded to help promote the song and its accompanying film.)
  

I really could go on and on, but this is a thread about her upcoming French album. The point I'm trying to make for those who believe nothing needs or should be done because of the passing of Rene is there are people who could and should be doing things to help keep Celine's legacy alive to its fullest potential while she is grieving (if she still is - I can't say as I don't personally know her).

 

I do appreciate the "behind the scenes" photos of her recent time in the studio. Now, they just need to go a bit further and start posting quick snippets. Even a quick 6-second Vine video could be enough to help energize everything all over again for the new album. Sometimes, when it comes to PR and promo work, it doesN'T take a village.

Poor management from CELINE'S TEAM has nothing to do with Rene's death pretty Celine. So NEWSFLASH, speak what you know android stop just finding ways get noticed. So I suggest you calm down and realise that things will happen in due time when Celine and her team feel it's appropriate. Who doesn't share release dates, they even did for LMBTL, so what are you talking about. You claim to live in the "real world" thus implying I live in Neverland or something which is highly unlikely. First i would like to say that La Presse in not a tabloid, we are not talking the Daily mail here, it is a respected journal. The guy who wrote ithe article is also a respected journalist. There have been some change after the fact, that's all. No need to put our panties in a bunch... As for the RH, is is really bad for them to accuse La presse, if they didn't had specific informations and it was just a matter of repeating something, they should have credit La presse of their so called scoop. Yes, we a believed the date!! But now it's a false one, and all it was, was a rumor. Nothing confirmed. The only confirmed news was that everything was pushed back. So, at the moment there is nothing to confirm. The sooner everyone accepts that, the better.

Thinking about this again... I feel the single will be released during June. Then Celine will sing it live during the upcoming tour and she will go on to promote the album and the single in TV shows during August and September. I expect the album to be released during September. The hype can be really big by then! Maybe a second single will be released that month. And as of October Celine will be back to Vegas. I doubt she would be back to France for a second time which is understandable.
