The last physical CD I ever purchased was 3 years ago, Sans Attendre! Honestly, I don't know anyone that buys a compact disc anymore, it's redundant unless you're a collector or obsessed with an artist and want to support them.

There's nothing like having the real thing on your hands, and not just a digital file on your computer that you can never touch. It has nothing to do with being obsessed... :rolleyes:

Just look why vinyl sales have been increasing year after year since 2012, and now everyone releases their albums on vinyl when 4 years ago almost nobody did it. Why? Because consumers appreciate the quality and pleasure of the format and the possibility of having something of quality in their hands, not just an iTunes file behind a screen or mp3 display. Same happens still with CDs :bye1:

For me it's for pure convenience and being on the go. I don't have the time to sit and put a cd in a player, which I don't even have except in my car, (which I use to mount my phone for GPS), let alone a record player. Who said playing a CD or a vinyl is not convenient? There's nothing like ordering online and having the album shipped at your door in no time and read the lyrics and watch the pictures while listening

Good lord, I was saying convenience in the sense of listening to music from your phone. Most people are on the go and simply carry their phone or ipad, or laptop at the most. No one has a cd player anymore. THAT IS WHAT I AM SAYING regarding to convenience.

I too listen music on my phone and iPod when I'm not home and I play music from my phone on the car, but I'm a music enthusiast and collector too, and I enjoy playing the physical copies of the music I like when I'm home. Both things are compatible! :thumbsup2: :bye1:

I too listen music on my phone and iPod when I'm not home and I play music from my phone on the car, but I'm a music enthusiast and collector too, and I enjoy playing the physical copies of the music I like when I'm home. Both things are compatible!

I'm on a high protein, low carb diet, and on Planet Earth. Last time I checked I haven't had a discman since 2004 and brand new cars don't even have cd player anymore. Heck I don't even use my dvd player either. It's a streaming digital world, but apparently I'm high as a kite.

It is if you allow it to be. I bought a discman last year and while I do stream movies on a regular basis, nothing replaces the joy of listening to the record and appreciating the full album as a single work of art instead of random music that never connect. But then again, choices.

What would have to say Amazon about this, whose department for DVD&Movies keeps growing year after year as well as their sales for DVDs and blurays, especially with sales of box sets of TV series and countless TV shows (whose commercial exploitation by means of DVD/Bluray releases is one of their most profitable incomes)? :laugh:

Yes, it is a digital world, that lives together with millions of people enjoying the physical copies of the thing too. Digital format is not an exclusive market, but a supplementary one.

What shocks me the most is that you're older than me and you speak as if you were born in the late 00's, when music digital downloads and streaming started to hit. I could understand a kid born in 2005 that he'd say he doesn't know any of his friends buying music or movies in physical format, but you being born in 1984?... I'm impressed :mellow:

Anyway, I'm not trying to convice you of anything. Just ask this forum, how many fans don't buy Céline's music on CD, or how many don't have a CD player to play Celine's music because they only buy her albums on digital... :innocent:

I only buy cds , I don't download. My cds then get put in my iTunes library. That way I can play the cd and put any tracks I want onto my ipod. Best of both worlds.

Lots of people still buy cds etc. But there are lots of people who don't. My brother is like you. He hasn't got any cds or dvds anymore. Everything is ddownloaded etc ☺

It's funny that you're younger than me because you remind me of my aunt! She's a single woman in her 50's and has a way to make her words appears nice and inciteful but they're just as mean as she is. So it is funny how so many people are different and yet similar that coexists!

Well I do buy cd's , esspecially from Celine, because I am a fan and because it makes the experience more intense; you read the lyrics in the booklet, there are only the tracks that are on the cd, yes you can skip tracks, but having them only mp3 makes them so worthless. Mp3s do not have so much meaning for me.

I'm glad you get a holier Celine experience through putting a cd in a cd player. I get an arousing experience from tapping my album selection from my phone and listening from my wireless headphones or Sonos speakers through wifi!

How nice, you finally acknowledge people enjoy music in different ways. So nice to see you not being ironic with them anymore, or even foolish to turn to a bunch of collectors and saying the only convenient way to listen to music is through digital platforms. Way to go. :clap:

I know people listen to music in various formats and was never criticizing that. Why would I? I was just saying for me personally, and the life I lead, the most convenient method and based on the last 3 years is listening digitally. Then it got spun out of context saying I criticize other ways, when I was only using the obvious decline of physical sales and cd players as evidence that it's just a natural evolution for most people to choose digital out of sheer convenience. I'm completely done with this subject and having to explain myself.

I sold most of my many CDs after converting them to mp3 around 10 years ago. Recently I bought a high end stereo system so I could play vinyl etc. Now I've gone back to CD. Yes you can have a tonne of music on your computer but unless all of your files are space guzzling FLACs then you're better off with the CDs. Even if you only do it for Celine, it's a much better experience picking the CD off the shelf and enjoying the album in the best quality available.

At this point I prefer Plus Qu'ailleurs, which used to be my least favorite track, to Les Yeux Au Ciel and Je Nous Veux. This song is a grower indeed. :yes:

I can say my Top 5 tracks are: A La Plus Haute Branche, Encore Un Soir, Si C'etait A Refaire, L'etoile and Ordinaire. But each of the remaining songs is just a good. Amazing album!

The album's re-edition will include 2 "new" photos and a calendar of the summer shows. The reason the production team decided to launch this new format is due to the fact that the Deluxe version sold out in less than a week!

according to the RH.

I don't get it... just produce more deluxe versions! :shrug:

New? New pictures? Anyone can create dozens of more "new" photos like that. It's not very hard, just use Céline's face in any of the Alix Malka pictures, paste it on any fashion body similar to Céline's, and there you go, new picture! :whee: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: At this point, I'm not really sure if genious Alix just took ONE photo of Céline's face with a green screen behind and then pasted her face on all those exciting poses and clothes :giggle:

Come on guys, this is the most stupid rerelease of a Celine Dion album we've ever seen... The level of stupidness and laziness they can reach by including just two "new" pictures is groundbreaking. I'm sure some employee may have earned his/her salary by doing this.

I wonder if it ever crossed their minds that when rereleasing an album, most of times they release a brand new different cover (in line with the original artwork of course), so if they were planning to include two new pictures, maybe someone could have thought of using one as the album cover for the new rerelase? Oh wait, I forgot they can't think at Céline's team in Sony...

A new picture can be called only one photo

while the other "new" photo is in the Summer Tour Book.

So it's a mystery why such a weird of new reediton of this album .

But so far the album has sold more than 500,000 copies in France

And this album got a gold disc and the song got platinum disc.

and still we did not see the video clip, which was shot in Paris.

Make more deluxe editions.

And if you want to sell more, make GOOD re-editions!

I never understood why suddenly there was a picture with an disc called "les coulisses"

And suddenly it was removed.

I mean there must have been a plan to include it right?!

Anyway I will buy that stupid edition just because I am in Paris next weekend. But it will dissapear in a drawer

I enjoy going out release day and walking in the store and finding the display and holding it for the first time, Then rushing home and opening the CD to play it.
