Oprah in 1997 was pleasant with an almost completely unplugged arrangement. And while still the same stale arrangement, the “A Home For The Holidays” rendition was beautiful. It is kind of strange in that it’s a ballad, but it’s not a power ballad nor a rock ballad. It’s a soft ballad, but even then it’s almost too soft for that for most of the song. So I think it doesn’t translate well to most shows she has done until Celine in Vegas Quote

Sorry to quote myself, but I just realized that even Poupée De Cire, Poupée Do Son makes no sense, either - it won for Luxembourg, not France! I suppose it's been so long since France has had a win that they feel the need to poach other songs... (For what it's worth, I think they've had some great songs over the years and tend to get treated pretty badly by Eurovision juries, but they also haven't taken the contest very seriously.) Quote
