Céline RO Posted January 5, 2021 at 09:11 PM Posted January 5, 2021 at 09:11 PM (edited) They should at least upload all of her existing home videos to YouTube. They can’t seriously be expecting to sell many more copies nowadays. ‘Live à Paris’ and TCWT were a promising start (although incomplete), now we need the rest. It’s nothing rare but it could at least be a nice gift to the casual fans and maybe even garner her more attention. In addition, they really need to try to get the MHWGO, BYLM and BATB music videos on her VEVO channel, it’s ridiculous to not have the official versions of the videos for some of her biggest hits. They need to get the basics done before we can start dreaming of all the wonderful gems they could upload. Edited January 5, 2021 at 09:12 PM by Céline RO 1 Quote The best is yet to come...
mirage Posted January 5, 2021 at 10:11 PM Posted January 5, 2021 at 10:11 PM Yeah why not release it on YouTube. Or even better they can make it a live event let people pay for it. I’d love if someone could leak this concert...Or release ♂️♂️ Enviado do meu iPhone usando Tapatalk 1 Quote

PuraVida Posted January 6, 2021 at 10:46 AM Posted January 6, 2021 at 10:46 AM I like it!!!!! She will always be able to sing this song. Her voice has sounded the most consistent on this song of any song in her repetoire. Quote

While I don’t agree with the “most consistent on this song of any song in her repertoire” part, I do think it is a song that she will always be able to sing with relative ease. By most consistent, I meant she has always sounded as close to her old self on this song and that I believe she has never really struggled with it for any prolonged period. Like, this performance on this song would be the hardest to pinpoint a year for. Quote

More so than with other songs. There are songs on which she has been even more consistent like “Dans un autre monde” (she even nailed it and sounded the same as always when she was sick in Quebec), “Destin” or “S’il suffisait d’aimer”. I don’t know if you were talking about French songs as well. Edited January 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM by Céline RO Quote The best is yet to come...

So, it's clear she just does what she wants lol I think BYLM is lipped because it’s a very famous song that the audience knows well and knows what to expect with every note. Even when she used to perform it live (apart from the 90s) it sounded a bit underwhelming compared to the studio version and she seemed quite bored singing it so I get why she would want to lip it. Also, it may have been emotionally difficult for her to sing it in 2015-2016? She can definitely still sing the whole thing live though. Quote The best is yet to come...

I don’t know if you were talking about French songs as well. If the vocal is raw, live audio, I think she sounds remarkably similar. Obviously big fans can probably tell, but I think looking at it objectively the quality of her voice and the ease with which she does the song has never really wavered. Sure there have been a couple performances here and there. And yes those French songs are pretty consistent too, but I don't really listen to them enough to make a comparison. Did she do Destin on the TCWT? Quote

Even at the climax of the song, the music seems to not really go anywhere. I don’t particularly care for the song live, but I never skip the studio version. There is something about it that just gets my adrenaline running. More drums. The ending of that song has so much color on the studio track. You would never know from the live versions of this song that it was a David Foster produced track. Original key! Wow! I thought I had seen this performance already, but I think I would've remembered those ad-libs at the beginning. So good and interesting choices! Interesting how the movie version doesn't have the whistle note and the high belt part? I'm gonna check the actual version now to double check...because I got the sense she dodged the high belt...
