Believe it or not Celine made it into the retrospective of 2020 , Cee Roo is one of my idol he is one of the best video editor with amazing sound design abilities.. she is there one second but what a pleasant surprise too see her in one of his edits.💙

Over a million views already! Happy to know Celine’s rendition is still so loved, and it will be fun to watch this video grow in views over the years. There used to be one with tons of views on YouTube before it was taken down.

I can't understand why some fans think this single was a bad choice. I remember when it came out it was played none stop on the radio stations here and also on the Vh1 channel, one from the few channels that we had over here oh those days...

 

The song still sound so magical, she gave back at the time crazy promotion for this one.

 

She couldn't look more lovely than she did on this one.

I think I Surrender should have been the third single. I'm sure it would have become a hit for Celine, and it's a shame it was overlooked.

Because it's right up there among the cheesiest, schmaltziest, most saccharine, most over-the-top and mawkish songs she's ever recorded. And then it's given the most insanely bombastic instrumentation to beat you over the head with the cloying sentiment, and just in case the first key change doesn't get you, watch out, here comes a second. Ugh.

 

Despite the above, I don't actually hate the song. It's passable. But it was a terrible choice for a single and just reinforced every negative stereotype about what kind of artist Céline was. The musical composition itself isn't bad; the lyrics are horrendous.

 

I don't do sappy. :-D

This is undeniably one of Celine’s best music videos ever BUT in my opinion I Surrender or Sorry For Love should be the 3rd single. As a single GTSW was a bad choice.
